Celebrate - Happy Anniversary

Hello.. I have another anniversary card to share.. My stepson and his wife are celebrating 14 yrs of marriage and this is the card I sent to them.

I started by using Spellbinder flowers and leaves and stamping with a light Ranger ink.. I then used Dandelion liquid watercolors. I am trying to learn how to use the watercolors.. I really need one on one lessons. I do it light but it seems so light and hard lines. I try to even it out them I lose the colors and look I am going for.. I kept trying and then gave up and called them done. I fussy cut the flowers and leaves out and went around the edges with Ranger ink to hide the white edges. I took Ranger ink and old cosmetic brush and added the yellow to the card base. I then laid out the flower/leaves and added some Pretty Pink Posh jewels. I went over the flowers with Spectrum Noir glitter brush and then stamped the Paper Trey ink sentiment with Stampin up ink.

Hello and Happy 4th of July to all of us in the USA as it's Independence day..

 

Of course hello to everyone.. I hope your day is great..

I made an anniversary card for my son and his wife.. It's their anniversary soon and wanted to create the card that was in my head..

I used watercolor paper and stamped the Tech. Tuesday flowers and Simon Says leaves. I then used Mission Gold water color paints and painted the images. I took another piece of watercolor paper and using the left over paints on the palette I did a really light wash of those colors for the background. I tell you in person it's stunning. I then watered down some paints and did the splatters.. (I learned to do this in a box.. I learned my lesson last time.. LOL) I then fussy cut the leaves out and using the TT die for the flowers. I laid the images down till I liked what I saw and adhered the leaves right to the watercolor paper and added the flowers with foam dots. I stamped the Paper trey Ink sentiments. I finished with some Pretty Pink Posh jewels.  I truly love how this card came out.. I am sure they will enjoy it.

The Green team is back with another fun challenge at

Craftaholics R Us #20  and the theme is ANYTHING GOES

Back in 2017 I used this stamp from Hero Arts and embossed the piece but the embossing was messed up cause I didn't get a good stamp on most of it so I cut the piece down to just  three inches which was ok.. I saved it.. Now I am glad I did because it worked out perfect for this ATG challenge. I just cut the piece into one inch strips and added them on foam strips to the blue paper. I embossed the sentiment from Tech. Tuesday in white and added some sequins and Nuvo drops. This card was fun and simple to make.  I really love this Hero arts stamp. So pretty and detailed. The blue embossing powder is so pretty I just need to remember to make sure I double stamp the Versa Mark so I get a good sticky mess for the powder. But at least it was partially saved and thanks to my can't throw anything away.

Mid month reminder for the month long challenge at

Creative with Stamps #25 and the theme is CAS + SENTIMENT

Thinking of CAS is hard for me so I am going to try this more often so I can get use to creating them.. I enjoyed doing the April 1st card.. So for this card I used some scraps and Simon Says die for the feathers. I then stamped the sentiments from Paper trey ink and using My favorite thing die cut them out. I went around the edges with Quick Quote chalk ink. I then tied a piece of twine around the ends of the feathers.  I am liking.. I think I can get use to CAS..

This is our 2nd anniversary..

The theme for this month is CAS + SENTIMENT

Well since it's our 2nd anniversary I would make an anniversary card. I chose the Simon Says stamp set I got late last year. I thought they looked like an in love anniversary couple. I had a piece of old water color paper piece I did last year.  This is using Ranger ink and smooshing. I thought it worked good for the water. I colored the otters with copics. I used Simon Says heart die and added the fun hearts and used Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on them. I added the Paper trey ink sentiment.

Welcome to 2018. We're a couple weeks into the new year and I  hope it is still bringing all that is good into your life. The stamp I chose today on my card is so I can remember these positive thoughts and have it bring that into my life.. It's a very large background stamp so some of the words are cut off but there are still enough for you to see and understand why I love it.

Wet or Dry Embossing

 

So break out those holiday craft items and put them to use. I am sure there's new embossing powder/stamps/folders somewhere in you hands reach.. LOL

I got this stamp a few months back but haven't used it yet so broke I it out cause I love when the background is all embossed words. I embossed with white powder. Since it's about what I love about you I added the "Love" die and layered it four times to make it sturdy. I added a couple flat sequins and it's done.. Really a quick and easy card to make. The products are Simon Says.  I really like the black and white look.. well the Love is a very light silver shimmer..

Our challenge is 

ANYTHING GOES + SENTIMENT

 

 

This is my card. I took Simon Says flower/leaf stamp and white heat embossed on a white card base. I then took a copic BG10 and colored in the background. I went over the flowers only with Spectrum Noir glitter pen. I die cut YOU from My Favorite Things and then stamped I LOVE from the same set. I layered it on the card. I which you could see this in person. It's so pretty.  I will be doing this again. I like the copic BG blue cause it's not solid so you can see a little of the white coming through. I didn't want to go over and over cause I didn't want a strong BG color just a light tint. Cant wait to see what you all create.

Congratulations - Engagement or Anniversary

OK This is the last card .. for the anniversary, wedding, engagement cards I have been making.. I think.. I need to clean my craft table off.. Let's see if that happens..

But for now this is my engagement card.  I was looking for papers and possible masculine type card. I liked the paper I used for the Anniversary card and while I was sorting through the top of my desk I saw this strip and thought it would be great for engagement.. I added black ribbon to the bottom half and a thin strip of black paper to the top half. Again Kolette Hall stamp and half pearls.. Really simple card. I hope you enjoy.

Happy Anniversary

As I was making wedding cards I though.. hum why not also make an Anniversary Card.

I have this lovely layered flower stamp from Paper Trey Ink..  I have only used it a couple of times because it's hard to layer.. I finally have most of it figured out so I will use again before I forget how.. I love this script paper from DCWV.. That's why I thought it would be perfect for an Anniversary card.. The sentiment I have no idea where it came from but I like the small script.  I added a half pearl to the flower center and end of the sentiment. Oh the leaves are from this flower stamp. I used them on the cards I made the last few days. The inks are also from PTI.
