{oh the truffles I've seen...} SFYTT

Hi Guys,

well I'm back in town. I had a short but wonderful weekend trip with my older-youth group from church. We had gone up to San Francisco for the weekend and just had a blast. We had a Love&Respect seminar which I can honestly say has already changed my life.
This seminar is basically about male and female relationships, how we're inately different and what our deepest needs are and how to meet these needs to better our relationships.
I highly recommend this to anyone whether you're married or just dating but it really works.
I'm currently dating someone and we're going through a bit of a rough time (he lost his job and has been very distant lately) at the moment but I applied some of the things I learned and got an immediate response from him, during Sunday Night Football mind you ;). We're not in the clear yet obviously and if we're really meant to be together remains to be seen as well but at least I've found some comfort and peace that rest assured I did not have before this.

okay that now concludes the dear diary section of my post lol  and let me get back to why you're really here and that's to read something about cards:

It's Saturday and I think Jen came up with a really fun SFYTT sketch this week. I just had a blast playing with this one!!
If you have the time, why don't you play with us?! Make sure you upload your card to Jen's Blog and see if she picks you to be our next Guest Designer!!

I was so happy to dig up some MFT stamps that haven't even seen ink yet I was totally beside myself. lol I know it's the little things in life that make me happy, what can I say :)
So this cute bunny here is from the set Truffly Flopsey, a total must have if you're a chocaholic like me. I colored him in with Copics and added some glitter to the truffles...because it's all about the truffles don't you agree?
Well are you ready to see what my amazing SFYTT Sisters have come up with? Hop on over to their blogs and check them out!!!

{Stop By}

Hi Guys,

well I'm back in town from my short little vacation and I'm already hitting the ground running.
I've got a bunch of appointments today, tomorrow I have orientation (I got into my school's 2 yr. program) and then Saturday our Youth Group from church is participating in a walk for Hunter's Hope and Sunday we're going to make some christmas ornaments the Youth can sell as fundraiser.
Whew!! Oh yeah and then I start classes again on Monday lol...well if you know me you know that I actually thrive on a busy schedule like this so this is right up my alley...although it does
sound a bit daunting at this point I gotta admit. ;)

So let's chat cards a little: this cute little witch is from our newest release over at the Cat's Pajamas. If you missed it be sure to stop by the site to check all the cuteness out.
I also used our brandnew CutUps: the Pinking Border and embellished with some cute Halloween stickers I found at Michaels.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Catch ya later ;)

{Cheerio} TCP Tuesday 127

Hi guys,

are you ready for a TCP Tuesday color challenge?? I'm your hostess this week and this color challenge was inspired by the fabulous Carole Burrage. It's a beautiful fall color combo so let's see what you can all whip up using some teal, olive and eggplant!! I can't wait!! :)

For my card here I used one of our brandnew, just released sets featuring the Queen Sprinkle herself from the set Coffee, Tea or Meow?  The patterned papers were a lucky find in my paper stash so I'm sorry to say I can't tell you who makes it.
I also used one of our brandnew CutUps: the big Pinking Border for that fun little eggplant zigzag.

Do you wanna play with us?
You just might be our next Swanky Stamper and winner of $25 in Cat Cash!!

Here are all the deets for the challenge:
1. Each a week one of The Cat Pack will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, technique, color, theme, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until the end of the month to complete the challenge.
4. Post your design using the Inlink Button to Alma's Blog. Your design must be linked and visible to Alma's Blog to be eligible.
5. TCP stamps are not required (unless the challenge calls for it) but we'd love to see them if you have them.
6. There will be one winner each month. They will be deemed that month’s Swankiest Stamper and get $25 in Cat’s Cash {money to spend on the TCP site!}.
7. The newly crowned Swanky Stamper will be announced on the First of the Month and have his/her winning entry posted on The Cat’s Pajamas website where he/she will reign for the entire month.

thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!!

{A Warm, A Happy Hello}

Ha I just noticed that I had totally forgotten to post this card here I had made for
Verve's fabulous Release last month so I wanted to make up for it and share it with you all. :)
This card here uses the Verve set Happy Hello, which is just perfect for
well sorta everything really; you could use it as a friendship card, a
thank you card, a congrats card even. This little set is SO versatile! lol

Anyway, my card here is pretty straight forward so not all that much to
talk about except for a few fun little details: Since this card was very
much school-inspired I decided to add a rubber band as accent and a fun
colored paper clip that I had sorta laying around my desk.

The bracket I had made myself using my SU Top Note Die. I just had to run
my paper through my Big Shot twice!! That's it!!

So thanks for stopping by!!

{Good Times} SFYTT

Hi Guys,

Whew!! I'm soo excited: Finals are finally over!!! Now I
have a whole week off before it all starts again...and I plan on getting out of town and partying it
up believe you me. :)

Sooo while you're reading this I'll probably be on a plane going somewhere...where exactly I
don't know yet...gotta love last minute plans lol.
Anyway - I have a friend in church who just turned 40 last night and I made this card here for her.
She's a teacher so the library card stamp by PTI was perfect and she loves pink so I paired it
with one of Julee's beautiful flower stamps and butterfly. The sentiment is compliments of
Verve as well...in case you didn't know. ;)

Wanna play with us? Every Saturday Jen has a fun sketch for you to try, make something great, post it
to her blog for your chance of being picked as our next month's Guest Designer!!!

{Mwahh Wine} TCP Sneak Peek

It's time for another TCP Sneak Peek!!!

Are you all ready??
Today we're sneak peeking the sets Mwah! and Just Chillin.
Mwah! is this really cute halloween themed set with some defrightful sentiments to go along with and the Just Chillin' set features that adorable bunny you've already seen at the last release and when I snuck in a peek this past Sunday. Click here for that peek.

Sooo what did I do here?
I made a customized label for a wine bottle, which certainly sets the mood for any halloween party if you ask me. ;)

And it was so simple and easy to make - just take some CS, layer it and embellish. I thought the sentiment Mwahh! and Positively Defrightful fit perfectly so there you go. A little Frankenstein and some skulls finish it all up.
Oh and in case you're wondering: I used hot glue to stick it all on the bottle and trust me - it ain't goin' nowhere. :)

What do you need to know about this new release:

{Figure Skater or Ninja?} TCP Sneak Peek

Hi Guys,

I'm back with another TCP Sneak Peek for ya and this time I found this small Scrapbook album
made out of recyclable materials at Michaels and thought how much fun it would be to make a cover for this sooo this is what you see here. The little kraft square there is a sleeve for a picture I made using Nesties.

Today we're Sneak Peeking the sets Little Devil and Skating Bunny...lol guess which one I'm sneak
peeking here ;).
But I'm not just showing you what a skating bunny looks like I'm also giving you a first peek at two of our brand new CutUps:: The Pennants Die I used for the X-mas Banner and the Inside Pinking Border Die I used on the left there.

What you need to know:
Release Party: Monday September 13th, 2010 @ 9pm EST/6pm PST

at our SCS Forum

Be sure to stop by this fellow Cat Packers for another Peek at
the new sets:
* Ana Wohlfahrt
and the fabulous Jackie Pedro

Here are some more detail shots:
Tips'n' Tricks: to get that triple layered Pennant I simply used the basic pennant die, die cut one blue CS and one cream CS, put the cream CS on top of the blue, slid it up a little until I was happy with it and then trimmed the excess off the top.
This bunny here was colored in with Copics and then I applied Stickles Glitter to the scarf and skates and Crystal Effects on the rest of the bunny.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
See ya next time :)

{Bad Clothing} TCP Sneak Peek

Hi Guys,

it's Sneak Peek time for Sprinkle and Co. from the Cat's Pajamas and I'm soo excited to be introducing you to one of the new faces that we have now. Isn't this sheep just adorable??
And how about that sentiment?! I GOL when I first read it...what's GOL? Well in my world it stands for Guffawed Out Loud. :)
I thought it would be purrfect to use some Liquid Applique for the sheep's coat and since I'm currently on a glitter trip I sprinkled some irridescent embossing powder on the Liqud Applique before I applied heat to it to get a little sparkle on the coat. Then I colored the scarf and pockets with Prismacolor Pencils and the rest of the sheep in with Copics.

Sooo what else am I featuring today other than the cute little sheep? A brand new brand new Border CutUps: the inside Pinking Border. So great and easy to use and versatile too. :)

So what do you need to know about this new release?
