Acetate Word by Word

I think this is the first time I've used the word by word stamp.  I stamped this on acetate using black staz-on ink and overlayed the stamped image onto some DSP.  I added the flowers and leaves to give the card more dimension.

Paper:  Lavender Lace, Gable Green, Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, Unknown DSP, Acetate
Ink:  Black Staz-on

Clear Thanks

HYCCT1328 - I Clearly Care - Challenge:  Create a card that shows you "clearly care" -- stamping on acetate, plastic, shaker cards, with glaze, etc. - with shades of pink somewhere , of course!
I found this pre-printed acetate sheet in my stash and paired it with pixie pink card stock.  The card stock was embossed with stylized flowers embossing folder and the acetate sheet was attached with brads in the center of the felt flowers.

Ornament Window

It was so hard trying to get a picture of this card since the acetate is so reflective. To make the ornament I folded a piece of white card stock that measured 5 1/2" x 11" in half and cut out a 5" circle leaving about an inch on the top edge of the fold. The card front was embossed using the snowflake embossing folder and then a 3 1/4" circle was cut out using a circle cutter. For the frame cut a circle at 3 3/4" with the center circle of 3 1/4" removed. Cut a piece of acetate at 3 3/4" and stamp snowflakes with white staz-on ink, allow to dry before attaching to the frame piece. Stamp the main image centered on the inside of card, attach acetate piece to frame and then the framed piece to care front. Add sentiment and attach with dimensionals. To create the ornament top cut a piece of brushed silver card stock at 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" and punch edges using the eyelet border punch, attach to top of card. I also cut the bottom edge flat so that it can stand opened.

Supplies Used: Paper: Whisper White, Handsome Hunter, Brushed Silver, Acetate; Ink: Handsome Hunter, White Staz-on; Stamps: Scenic Season, Merry & Bright; Other: Circle Cutter, Snowflake Embossing Folder, Eyelet Border Punch, Dew Drops, Crystal Effects, Frost White Shimmer Mist, Dimensionals

Another Acetate Card

This didn’t turn out exactly as I had envisioned it would, but that happens when creating cards. It’s not that I don’t like the card but I actually had something else pictured when I began. I really wanted white ink, but realized that I didn’t have Stazon white, needless to say I have already ordered the white Stazon and will try another acetate card again once I receive my order.

Supplies used: Stamps: Terrific Tulips and Petal Prints Paper: Acetate, Whisper White, Real Red and Basic Black Ink: Stazon Black, Real Red and Basic Black Other: Red Organdy Ribbon and mini glue dots.

Snowman Acetate Card

I have always wanted to try making an acetate card and it was the technique challenge on SCS last week. Stamping on acetate isn’t that easy. The stamp can slip and then your image will be smudged. It was easier lining up the different layers of cardstock correctly than it was stamping on the acetate. I think it came out cute and I know I will try this technique again.

Supplies used: Stamps: Very Merry and Snow Flurries Paper: Acetate, Whisper White, Bliss Blue and Brilliant Blue Ink: Stazon Ultramarine and Basic Black Other: Royal Blue Organdy Ribbon and mini glue dots.
