New Verve Release, THIS FRIDAY!

Does new Verve make everyone else as happy as it makes me? I don't know what Julee does to the these stamps, but something in the way they smell when you take them out of the package that first time really makes me happy *grin* So the sneak peeks start today! Are you ready for it??? The Diva's have all been hard at work on this release and I can tell you they've pulled out all the stops, be prepared to be amazed as you hop along to all their beautiful blogs!

Today, we're peeking THREE new sets. One full set, Lucky You, and two new Scripture Plain Janes! But we're not stopping there, we also have a new die set to share with you today:)

I've used the new set "Lucky You" for this card and as you can see, Julee added her signature whimsy into this adorable clover leaf! There are 4 different sized clovers and the matching die set has dies for the three largest! I didn't use the dies for my card here, but that's just because I used the CPS sketch 250 for this card and that's just how it turned out, lol! I stamped the clovers on the squares and added a rhinestone to three of them, and a button and the sentiment onto the last one. The sentiment is stamped on the smallest tag made from the Tiny Sweet Scallops die set. I felt that my card needed an extra "something" and lace always seems to do the trick:) I really love this fun set and can't wait to make more cards with the clover dies!

The next card I'm sharing uses one of the two new scripture Plain Janes! I really do love this verse:

This is Psalm 63:3-4. I went a little shabby again on this card and  really love the turquoise and gray combo! The papers are from Lily Bee Designs. I stamped the sentiment on the orignal Sweet Scallop Tag die and added some flowers to the top. If this layout looks familiar, it's because I'm using the January SFYTT sketch again! It's such a fun one and very versatile!

Verve Spotlights - Day 3, Chicks RULE!!!

Today, the Diva's are spotlighting the adorable new set called Chicks Rule and another new die, the Flutterby die!  This die matches the adorable butterfly stamp in the Chicks Rule set! 

Let's get to it:)

I used the the large butterfly from Chicks Rule and the small butterfly from Egg-stra Special, along with the new Flutterby die for this card!  To start out, I cut a bunch of butterflies out of the card front using the die. Next, I stamped the large butterfly, in the negative space created by the die, in Fresh Snow ink. 

I stamped some small butterflies on the card front in white ink, and then colored all the butterflies with an R22 Copic marker. I like how it creates some contrast:) I added the little antennae with a brown marker, added some pearls, and a couple pieces of ribbon and a bow! I stamped the sentiment in Rich Cocoa ink, I love that  font combination, don't you? For a last detail, I cut a piece of clear cardstock *just* smaller than the card front and glued it to the inside of the card front. Here's what it looks like flat...

I think you're REALLY going to love this set and that Flutterby die, they're SO FUN!

Verve Spotlights - Day 2 is EGG-STRA SPECIAL!

Hello bloggers! Back for more, are ya? I can't say I blame you because the Diva's have MORE prepared for you with another new stamp set called Egg-stra Special and some new A Cut Above dies!

I just got my dies in the mail today, so I didn't have time to use them yet! But I know the other Diva's have them and can't wait to show you what they do!

For my card, I started by stamping a whole bunch of eggs and then coloring them with Copics! I cut them all out and popped them up on dimensionals. This is a textur-iffic card, believe me, lol! If I mail it, it's going to have to go in a box, lol! I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white cardstock and then cut the corners to make a tag, which I then tied onto the ribbon with some green twine!

I also tied a Bling Button from Bazzill onto the ribbon bow, isn't that thang gorgeous??? It's so sparkly!

I hope so, because you're going to be able to GET some new Verve on Friday!!!!!!!!!! w000t! It's been a couple months since we've had a new release and I know you guys are all comping at the bit to see what's coming! I know you're going to love this release, it's so sweet! Today, we're spotlighting a couple sets. The first one is Lucky Ducky, a super cute set with little ducky's and some sweet sentiments, and a new Plain Jane called Hope Perches. I have a project made using each of them, so lets hop to it!

My first card uses a couple of the ducks from Lucky Ducky!

I really wanted this to be a St. Paddies day inspired card, because of the "lucky" sentiments, but couldn't find any really good St Paddies day papers! I settled for a couple greens and yellows from the Modern Homemaker paper pack from October Afternoon! 

I stamped the middle duck once on the white cardstock and then again on the polka dot paper. I paper-pieced the middle duck, I just think he looks FABULOUS in polka dots;) The sentiments in this set really "quack me up" and I think you'll agree that this set is a MUST HAVE!

Okay, next up is the Hope Perches Plain Jane!

I stamped the PJ on a label cut using the Classy Label die by Verve and then sponged Creamy Brown ink around the edges. The papers are from Reflections by Prima, don't you love them? They really work well with this sentiment! I added a bunch of lace, twine, a doily (PTI's parisian lace doily die), and did a lot of sponging!

TGF Sneak Peeks, Day 1!!!

Now that the holidays are over, my stamping mojo is coming back, how about yours? Maybe yours never left, but mine did, lol! Always so much to do and so much going on that crafting is usually the last thing I want to do (EEEKS!!) You know what else helps? NEW RUBBAH!! That's right! Saturday, January 1st, The Greeting Farm is having a new release and this week we're going to be giving you some sneak peeks;)

Today, we're peeking the SUPER ADORABLE new Anya set called "Naughty/Nice"...

This first card uses the angel in the set! Isn't she super adorable? I love her hair and that sweet halo! Okay I'm really not good at coloring wings and such so I went with a W1 and W3 Copic on her wings and bodice. I kept the whole color combo really neutral so I could use this paper from DCWV Linen Closet pack! I've had the stuff for a long time now and want to use it because it's so beautiful! Perfect for an angel card:)

Here's her evil twin...

She may be naughty, but she's still adorable! I used Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 or whatever that paper line is called, lol! I also sponged her and the vanilla piece with Pumice Stone distress ink.

Autumn Release Sneak Peeks, Day 1 - Many Blessings

GOOOOOD MORNING!!!!!!!! Are you excited to see some Verve-y sneak peeks today? I sure am! You are going to be *THRILLED* with the releases this month, SO MANY new stamp sets! I was literally GIDDY when I opened up my stamps to start playing! I think I sniffed the stamps too long and got a little high...but that's OFF the record, bwahaha! But seriously, am I the only one who loves how new Verve stamps smell? LOL!! Good lord, I've lost my marbles.

Anyways, lets get on with the show! Today, the Diva's will be previewing 3 gorgeous stamp sets! Many Blessings (which I'm previewing), Happy Fall, and several Plain Janes!

Here's my card using Many Blessings:

I really can't tell you how much I adore Julee's flower stamps! Her designs are always so gorgeous and unique! I colored these stamps in with my Copics. The card base is Vintage Cream (by PTI) and the dp is Pixie-licious by Cosmo Cricket. Yep, still usin' it up, lol!

The ribbon is by PTI and I created that bow with my Bow Easy! Please see the post before this one for the tutorials!

These flowers are so fun to color! I added a button and some pearls for the centers, but there is also a very cute crosshatch design that comes on the image. I just wanted a little dimension!

Sneak Peek Day 1: Love Monkey!

In case you weren't aware, Verve Stamps is having a gorgeous release this coming Friday! 5 new stamp sets and two new Plain Janes, yeah!



Tuesday the sneak peeks began over on the Verve Blog! The first set being sneaked (snuck? lol...) is Love Monkey! Oh how I LOOOOOOOVE monkeys! They're so precious and Julee just did an amazing job with this sweet little guy...
I used Teresa's Sketch for the layout and my new Basic Gray Sugar Rush dp! You see a little Pure Poppy and Lemon Tart by PTI in there too:)

Day 2 Verve Sneak Peeks!

This is the first of two posts today! Rare I know and probably you like it best when I don't talk alot, lol! It's just a really busy week here on the ole blog!

I have a couple more cards to share with you with today's Sneak Peek sets, Starstruck and You Rock!

The first card is my card featured over on the Verve blog using Starstruck *a truly fantastic set!*

How fantastic is that background? I created it with the swirly star included in the stamp set. I stamped it with Pitch Black ink (Adirondack) and then stamped the smaller star in Ruby Red (SU!) inside the swirly star. I added some Gold Ice stickles to the swirls and also some red pearls (Kaiser Krafts). My favorite addition to this card is the Jute (PTI) stitches! It really shabbied the card up a bit *I think!*

This next card is using the new set called You Rock!

I wanted to use some girly colors so I used Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist, and Sweet Blush (PTI). I stamped the star in Berry Sorbet ink. I have been LOVING my new punches, both of these are by EK Success (big scallops are Embossed Curve and I can't remember what the little scallops are called).

Verve sneaks!

Today we're peeking Swan Song and Wishing You! They are both gorgeous sets that you'll definately want to add to your growing collection;)

This first card uses the new set called "Wishing you". It's an extremely versatile set with a wide range of occasions it can be used for! I also used the flower from Budding Blossoms. The sketch is from Julees Release Week Sketch Challenge.
The next card uses the sentiment and swans from "Swan Song." I adore this set, it's so gorgeous! I used my new Labels 9 nestabilities, loooove that shape!
