Deconstructed Sketch #72

Hello there! Thursday has come around again, thank goodness! I'm ready for the weekend!
Each Thursday we have a new Deconstructed Sketch challenge for you and I know you're going to love this one!

I went with a fall theme because I want fall! It's still 105 here in Phoenix, ugh!! Unfortunately, my channeling fall didn't work today, so here's hopin' it's cooler tomorrow, haha! I pulled out a PTI set for this card but forgot what it's called. I don't know why I went with this color pallette either, it's not very fall'ish, but I like it!

Head on over to the Deconstructed Sketch blog for challenge details and a list of the other girls playing along! Thanks for stopping by today:)

RCC 73--Halloween Spirit!

Hello! Has it been forever since I blogged or what? I hate when mojo thinks it deserves a vacation. It SO does not. GRR! I went shopping with the fabulous Kim Hughes who I'm so lucky to call my friend, and we hit up a nice big scrapbook store this weekend and we LOADED up on goodies! So naturally, when you spend some cash, mojo comes home, lol!!

The Ribbon Carousel is all new now, a whole new format, so you'll want to check out the RC Blog for details! We have a new team! Some of the oldies are still around and we have some fresh faces as well! We're all so very excited for this fresh new start!

Our first challenge is Halloween Spirit! That's it! Create a card, 3D project, scrapbook page, whatever! Just so it has RIBBON or TWINE on it, all is fair game!

I have to admit, I'm not big on Halloween papercraft projects. As I found out while doing this card, I have MAYBE two stamp sets out of the hundreds I have, that could be categorized as hallowed  lol! Friendship Jar: Fall Fillers by PTI is one of the two. And I only bought it because I love the Friendship Jar sets and had to have them all, haha. Lucky for me I guess, I was able to use it for this challenge.
I used last week's Deconstructed Sketch challenge for the layout, and since it's a spooky Halloween card, I tilted all the panels. Cause that *screams* Halloween, right?

I used some fabulous V-striped Twill ribbon and Champagne Net ribbon, both found in the store!

Now don't forget to hop over to the RC Blog to read challenge details and meet all the new girls and see what our team has to share with you today!
Thanks for stopping by!

Rejects...

Hello out there! I know it's been awhile since I've blogged, I'm visiting my mom here in Montana and have a FABULOUS time:) I love it here so much. She lives in the mountains (actually the valley, surrounded by mountains) and I am loving this fresh, cool air! I'm not sure I'll be ready to go back to Arizona next week.

Anyways, since I had some time, and a bunch of cards I created for the latest Papercrafts mag call that were REJECTED (booohoo!), I figured I'd post them here in the interest of keeping some of my readers, heehee!

I give you...the rejects!
These first two cards were for the go-to sketches:

This one uses a a few Paper Smooches stamps and the heart from Verve's Wings of Love

This one uses some goodies from PTI

This one was for the "creative uses of sentiments". I admit, not all that "creative" with the sentiments, but I still love it:)

This one was for the Milestone birthdays call, I love this card:) Can't wait to find someone turning 16 so I can send it, heehee!

And the last one, for the masculine valentine's day card...yeah I know why this one wasn't chosen. Not very masculine, haha!
I showed my hubby this one, and asked him "what can I do to make this more masculine?" You know what he said? "Rub some dirt on it!" Yeah...don't think so buddy, LMBO! Also, is it just my hubby, or do all men open the card to see the inside before even looking at the outside? He's always dumbstruck that I don't have the inside done yet, lol!! I tell him I'll do the inside when I send it out!! *sigh*

Anyhoo, I'm off to the lake with mom, some cousins, and grandma and grandpa! Have a fabulous weekend, friends!!

Deconstructed Sketch #54

Hello and Good morning! Today we have a new Deconstructed Sketch for you to play with!

Love this one! Here's my card--

I used the new-ish butterfly set from PTI for my background and then sentiment!

I used to have a problem getting my twine to line up right when when doing this kind of treatment, so this is what I do now. I tied four individual pieces of twine around the cardstock, then took a scrap and tied the four strands together in the middle so it gathered them. Hope that makes sense, I should have taken a picture! Maybe you're already doing it that way and I'M the one who just learned it, heehee:)

Well thanks for stopping by today! Check out what the rest of my teammates have come up with!

Deconstructed Sketch #53 - Grow Love

Hi there! I have neglected my blog this week and hate that! Luckily, I just finished my class up and now have nothing but time to create, hooray! Haha! I'm a bit late with this week's Deconstructed Sketch, but here it is!

Deconstructed Sketch No. 53

Fabulous, right? So many fun possibilities:) Here's my card...

I still had Trendy Tree Tops from PTI on my desk from my last card, so I went with that one again! I love the little trees! The sentiment and fishtail banner dies are from MFT.

Well, if I haven't lost all my readers, thanks for stopping by today, lol! Now go see what my teammates came up with using this sketch!

Deconstructed Sketch #43: Jeremiah 29:11

I'm here today with my sample for this weeks Deconstructed Sketch (DS43)! I feel like a broken record, and like I say this every week, but this is my new favorite, lol! I really had a ton of fun with this sketch!

This is just one of those sketches, where everything falls into place naturally. That Jen is a sketch makin' genius:)

Here's my card using a few sets from Verve!

The sentiment is from the Jeremiah 29:11 set and the blooms and leaves are from Bloom and Grow! I also used the Floral Circle and Elegant Leaves dies also from Verve:) The papers are from Twitterpaited by SU!

I never got around to posting last weeks sketch card (DS42) so here's my card for last week's sketch!

I used the new butterfly set from PTI for this one, the new Aqua Mist polka Dot paper! Here's the sketch:

You gotta check out the rest of my teammates cards, they really are amazing:) Thanks for stopping by!!

The Deconstructed Sketch #40 - Birthday Wishes

The Deconstructed Sketch DT

Hello! It's Thursday which brings us not only closer to FRIDAY but a new sketch as well! I think you're going to LOVE this week's sketch:)

Lots of possibilities with this one so if you have a free hour or so, play along with us! Here's my card using "Sending You" by PTI-

I started out with this piece of patterned paper from Authentique, and then went through my PTI stamps, since it's been SOO long since I've pulled them out! I thought I'd stamp this big flower to match the flowers on the paper, it turned it just like I was hoping! I stamped the flower on a die cut from Mat Stack 1 and then added the leaves and button.

I hope you can play along with us this week:) Stop by Jen's blog to see samples from the rest of the girls and our FABULOUS Guest Designer, Amy!
Thanks so much for stopping by today:)

Hooray for you!

Hello:) I had some crafty time this morning so I whipped up another card for the Gallery Idol 2011 open call! The open call ends today so I'm just barely squeaking this one in, lol! I submitted four cards total, so I'm crossing my fingers! It's TOUGH competition this year, there are already over 1400 submissions, I doubt I'll be one of the top 20, but it was fun to play, anyway:)

I pulled out some PTI stamps for this one, along with MME's Lime Twist papers and my favorite MFT Rosette die!

I've had quite the exhausting weekend, how about you? Got lots of sun, lots of BBQ's, and now I'm ready for life to go back to normal this week, living in the gym and my scrapbook room, lol! Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July! See you back here tomorrow:)

DS6~Thanks!

Anybody ready for this week's Deconstructed Sketch??? It's *another* AWESOME one!

Here's my card using some PTI stamps!

I loved playing with those strips of paper on the sketch, there is alot you could do with this sketch:) I used Modern Basics on this card. I stamped the vine strip on all the cardstock and clear embossed them. Love how it looks IRL, clear embossing is SERIOUSLY under-rated! I also used my turqouise twine from "The Twinery"...love that stuff:)

Make sure to check out the Deconstructed Sketch blog and the rest of my DT girls!!
Thanks for stopping by today:)

May SFYTT!!!

It's the first Saturday of the month...know what that means???

NEW SFYTT!!!!!!!!!!!!

This month, our sketch is being sponsored by a fun company called "Your Next Stamp"!

Here's our May Sketch--

How fun is that sketch? I thought my new PTI stamp set "Boy Basics: Frog Hop" would look super cute on this card!

I didn't get my order in in time or I would have used YNS, but I must confess, I love this cute frog and how this card turned out! Perfect for one of my little nephews' birthdays! The paper is all from MME's Lime Twist "Out of the Blue"

1. The SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY {SFYTT} will be posted on the first Saturday of each month on www.iheart2stamp.com at 8am EST and will stay open to participants until the last day of the month, unless otherwise noted.
2. This is for fun! Interpret the sketch as you wish and embellish as desired. There are no vendor restrictions, but we would love to see you use the sponsor’s stamps!
3. Each month we will have a Designer of the Month that will be chosen from past month’s participants.
4. Come and play with us on each and every sketch! On Christmas Day 2011 a prize package worth over $200 will be given away to one very lucky and loyal SFYTT stamper that participates in EVERY sketch for the year.
5. To be eligible for the prize package, you must complete ALL of the sketches by each of the deadlines AND link your creation to the link system on that month’s sketch post (the first Saturday of the month). Everyone except for SFYTT Sisters are eligible for the prize package, including Designer of the Month and international players.
6. When posting your sketch creation on your blog, please post the sketch and link back to the sketch post on www.iheart2stamp.com. When posting to online galleries, please use the keyword “SFYTT.”

Check out the rest of my SFYTT Sisters and see what they came up with! Welcome to our new sister, Jen Tapler and our May Guest Designer, Kerry Michaud!

Tuesday Trigger--Button, Button!

Hiya friends! Fly-by post from me today!

I stumbled upon the Tuesday Trigger challenge for this week and was instantly inspired! I just love the earth tones, the buttons, the ribbons, EVERYTHING! It made me want to pull out my new Button Boutique stamp set from PTI!

Obviously I took the inspiration challenge quite literally! I love all the button cards I've been seeing so I wanted to make one of my own:) All the buttons, ribbon and cardstock are from PTI, the pearls are from Kaiser, and the lace is some I got from the 100 Yen store here in town.

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! See you later:)

Moxie Fab Pastels

G'morning! I'm here today with a quick post, I'm engrossed in tonight's episode of NCIS, loooove my Deeks!! LOL!!
I was blog surfing today and came across these fun color combo's on the Moxie Fab blog and thought I'd play along!

This is my card for the pretty pastels challenge...

These are all Bazzill colors but I'm not sure if they're the exact same as what's listed on the challenge (though I'm sure the intent of the challenge is just to stay close to the colors, not have the EXACT colors). I bought one of those 1 pound Bazzill stacks and this is my first time using anything from the stack!
The stamps are all from PTI's Love Birds!

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow with more Moxie Fab challenge cards:)

SFYTT-A New Year!!!

***This is my 2nd post today! PLEASE scroll down to see my Greeting Farm Blog Hop card! Thanks so much!!***
**************************************

Hello again! As you can see, it's been very busy on my blog for the past week or so, lol! SO much fun stuff going on! The Greeting Farm just had a fabulous release, we start sneak peeks for Verve's new release on Tuesday, and TODAY is the day we get to kick off SFYTT again! I have REALLY missed creating with Jen's sketches so I'm so happy we're back in the game;)
**************************************

**SFYTT is going to go a little differently this year, we only have ONE sketch a month, but we'll be using it a couple times a month! The only official team posting we're going to do is on the FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH! So schedule it in your little black or pink book and carve some time out for the sketch:) **

**Click here to visit the store**
The Cat's Pajamas is sponsoring our sketch this month so be sure to check the store out! There are some AMAZING designs in there and I can't wait to order some:) Unfortunately, by the time I found out they were our sponsor I didn't have time to order with enough time for the stamps to get here! So I don't have a TCP card to share with you, but I bet all the other sistah's do!

Here's January's FABULOUS sketch!

Fab sketch! I seriously had SO much fun with this one and can't wait to use it again:)

Here's my card using Bird Watching by PTI and Thankful Hearts by Verve!

I realized too late that my main image panel is slightly different from the sketch, but it was too late to change:(
I colored the bird houses to match this paper by Imaginisce but then changed my mind and went with a cardstock-only card instead:) The pink is by GinaK Designs and the turqouise is by PTI.

There's not a lot about this card that isn't self-explanatory so I won't bore you with obvious details;)
************************************

Want to hear a surprise? Jen has details on her blog about a FABULOUS prize that YOU could WIN just for playing in all 12 of our sketches this year! Hop on over to her blog to read all the giggity-goo!

AND a HUGE welcome to a new addition on our team! The super fabulous Kerry Johnson is joining our ranks as a full-fledged SFYTT Sister! Sweet, huh? I just love her work!
AND if that wasn't enough, the Ultra Awesome Kim Teasdale is our guest designer for January!!! Make sure you show these talented ladies some love!

Visit the rest of the team to see what they've done with this sketch!
