Sparkle Creations Sneak Previews Day 2: Karber

Hello again! It's Day 2 of the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps sneak peeks! Today, some of the team is showing off a brand new CLEAR Karber set!

How cute is she? I am a jeans and tshirt kind of girl, so I colored her up in something I would wear;) I'd even be drinking coffee if it wasn't about bedtime, lol!! This set has a few sentiments and more "props" that she holds like a glass of lemonade, a present, a cupcake, and this coffee:) It's such a fun set and I can see it getting LOTS of use in the near future.

Check out what my lovely teammates have done with this set! They're rockin' it out!

Thanks for stopping by today! See you tomorrow for our release day hop!!

Sparkle Creations Challenge #77-So Cool!

Hello, hello! I have a card for this week's Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge! This week, we have a color challenge that will have you pulling out your summery paper pads!!
scrsc77

I SUPER love these colors together and had so much fun making my card!

This is Soda Jenny and I'm pretty sure she's the most adorable little thing ever:) She's on sale too, only $3.50!! I colored her up and then set about trying to figure out what papers to use! I had my pad of Dots and Stripes paper from EP sitting on my table and it just so happens that the colors were absolutely PERFECT for this challenge!

I used the Mojo Monday #214 sketch for this layout, it's an oldie but a goodie;)

Thanks so much for stopping by today, stop by the SCRS blog for challenge details and a list of team mates playing along this week!

SCRS #73 - Heart Challenge

Hello! Today is SCRS day! This week, our challenge is a HEART challenge! Just find a way to incorporate hearts onto your project:)

Here's my card using the Fashion Karber set!

I really adore the girls in this set, they're super fun to style and color how I want!  When coloring them, I go to my Pinterest boards and see what outfits I've pinned and re-create them, lol!! Don't tell me I'm the only who does that! If I can't have those clothes, well then I'll live vicariously through my stamped and colored images, haha...yeah I'm weird like that;) The papers are from Crate Paper, the big heart is from a Martha Stewart punch and the small hearts are from the "From the Heart" die set by Verve. I kept this card VERY simple because I wanted the stamped image to really stand out:)

You have until Sunday, 2/26/12 @ 9 PM PST to play along with the current challenge, which is to use at least a heart on your creation. To play along in our challenge, upload a photo of your project and provide a direct link in the linky widget at the bottom THIS POST. If you use an online gallery (e.g. Splitcoast), please also use the keywords SCRSC72 and SparkleCreations (no spaces). If you have a Facebook account and are a fan of Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, you can also upload there. Deadline for challenge #73 is Sunday, February 26th @ 9 PM PST. Thanks for stopping by today!

SCRS January Preview: Karber Fashion

Hello! I'm quite late so I do apologize to anyone looking for my Sparkle Creations blog post!

Today, we're previewing an AMAZING new set from Karber. I'm so in love with these lil fashionistas:) Cute, aren't they?

Here's my sample!

In keeping with my "Less is More" theme this week, I kept it simple, choosing instead to focus on the image and a couple embellishments to add a little flair:) These are really fun images to color, and quite large! This card measures 5"x5" so you can see how big that image is.

Be sure to visit our fabulous designers for more peeks of Karber Fashion. Sparkle will be giving away a Karber Fashion stamp set to one lucky person! For a chance to WIN, you need to visit and comment on all of the designers' Karber Fashion blog posts (links listed below) and then leave a comment under this very post here on the SCRS blog. You have until midnight EST tonight to comment.

SCRSC60 - Case the DT!

Hey there! This week's SCRS challenge is a fun one, you get to hop around and see all the DT's cards, pick one you like, and CASE it! CASE'ing is always fun, and if you're in a bit of a rut and can't find your mojo, CASEing someone's card always helps to get the juices going.

SCRSC60

Here's my card, using Shopping Millie!

I colored Millie up to match the papers from MME and then drew in a sidwalk around her. I wanted to ground her a bit, and find that drawing a sidewalk or grass really helps bring the image to life. All I did was draw some lines and then color them with my gray Copics. I cut out the picket fence (from MFT) and glued it down behind Millie, again, creating a scene that really pops out at you. The sentiment comes with Shopping Millie, and I stamped it on cardstock cut with my Charming Banner dies from Verve.

I used this week's Deconstructed Sketch for the layout...

Well that's it from me today, make sure you check out the rest of the DT's samples and CASE one! Can't wait to see what ya'll do with this weeks challenge:)

Sparkle Creations September Previews--Fairy Millie

So how have you been liking the previews so far? Aren't you loving the fun halloween images being previewed? I can't wait to get Mummy Oliver, he is so stinking adorable, lol!

Today, the Karber team from Sparkle Creations is previewing a new Karber image, called Fairy Millie!

I love coloring fairy images because you can really get crazy and add lots of glitter and just really girl it up.I didn't get TOO crazy on mine though, I wanted it pretty simple. I colored the image with Copics (image stamped on Cryogen white paper, the sparkly kind, I forget what it's called, lol) The chocolate label behind the image is actually my Curvy Label die from Verve, cut in half. Then I glued it onto the back of the oval image, so it gives the illusion of one big label die. The beautiful flower is a die from PTI called Blossoms #3. I am going to use the heck out of that die, haha! I painted some Glimmer Glaze on the flower, so it's sparkly, it just didn't come through in the picture. The sentiment is from PTI's Butterfly Dreams, and is pretty much my favorite PTI set ever! Niki Estes, you're a genius, woman;) The papers are from MME's Lost and Found line called Portabello Road. Have you ever seen that movie "Bedknobs and Broomsticks"? There is a song called Portabello Road in the movie and was totally singing it while making this card, haha!

Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of Fairy Millie. Sparkle will be giving away a Fairy Millie to one lucky person! For a chance to win, you need to comment on all of the designer's blogs (list below). Then head on over to the SCRS blog and comment on the Millie post. You have until midnight EST each day to comment. The lucky winner will be announced the following day!

Isn't she the sweetest lil witch? I sure think so:) I colored her up with Copics and the papers are all from Matilda by Cosmo Cricket:)

The sentiment comes with this image, awesome right? Love the funky font:)

Sparkle Creations Challenge #57-Soooo Cool!

Hello there! I'm here today with a card for this weeks' new SCRS challenge. This week, we have COLORS to work with, yay! I love color challenges, they really get you out of your comfort zone if you're working with colors you wouldn't normally place together...like today's challenge:

SCRSC57

I would never think to pair three primary colors together, but I actually really like how they look together. Here's my card using the newly released Karber image, Soda Jenny:

Amber H.

I stamped Soda Jenny on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored her in with Copics. I wish I'd done a little darker color in her hair, it just looks gray, and Jenny is not that old of a lady, lol! Oh well, it's supposed to be black...just pretend:)

The yellow striped paper is from one of SU!'s new paper packs but I can't remember the name of it. The red paper is from PTI's Bitty Box collection. The sentiment "So Cool" comes with the Soda Jenny image.
I added some twine, buttons, and pearls to it as well, I can't seem to make a card without at least two of these showing up, haha!
I used this months SFYTT for the sketch!

We'd love it if you'd play along with us! Just visit the Sparkle Creations blog for details. You'll also find my fellow DT ladies' cards. Thanks for stopping by today!

SCRS #56-Shopping Millie

Hello! I'm here today with a quick card I created for this weeks Sparkle Creations challenge! This week, we have a sketch to play with, and it's a really fun one! Here's a full-sized picture...

Here's my card, created using one of the new Karber by Sparkle Creations stamps, Shopping Millie...

I gotta admit, I'm having a hard time finding my mojo! I just couldn't color today to save my life, lol! After being away from my stuff for three weeks, I feel like I'm learning all over again, haha! Well, I guess only lots of crafting will cure that problem, right?
Don't you love this new Millie image? She's a shopper too, just my kinda girl:)

SCRS will be sponsoring a Paper Craft's giveaway on Facebook tomorrow! Be sure to check it out for a chance to win Karber Reading Millie, Karber Breakfast Leslie, Cafe Lucy and Bookworm Ruby! Here's a link to the Paper Craft's fan page: http://www.facebook.com/papercraftsmagazine.

Sparkle Creations July *Karber* Preview--Reading Millie

Time for another Sparkle Creations sneak peek! Today, the Karber team is introducing Reading Millie!

I love the little "oh!" expression she has, I get that one when I'm reading a good twist, too;) I'm quite a book worm so I just love this stamp, it comes with that sentiment, too. I stamped a text background by PTI on the card base and the papers are from EP's Walk in the Park line.

So what do you think of the Karber release so far? I love these stamps, and if you love to color...you will too!  All stamps will be released on Saturday.

Sparkle Creations July *Karber* Preview--Rainbow Leslie

Hey! I'm back with another post today:) If you're looking for my SFYTT card, scroll down a bit or CLICK HERE!

Today is the 1st day of the July Sparkle Creations Release previews! The Karber team is kicking things off with previews of a really sweet new image called "Rainbow Leslie"

Isn't she so adorable? I love how she's swinging from the rainbow:) The stamp will come all in one piece, the sentiment "so much fun" is right under Leslie, but I cut the sentiment separately so I could use it wherever I want:) I'm a rebel like that! So I stamped the sentiment and then cut it out with circles and attached it to the bow with twine.  I also added Crystal Ice Stickles to the rainbow, it's super sparkly and I love it!

Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of Rainbow Leslie. Sparkle will be giving away a Rainbow Leslie to one lucky person! For a chance to win, you need to comment on all of the designer's blogs (list below). Then head on over to the SCRS blog and comment on the Leslie post. SCRS #49-Happy Day!

Hey there! I'm posting a little late today, my apologies. I've been trying to tame my card for this challenge and it just wasn't having it, lol! I think "recycled item" challenges are always the most difficult for me, because I don't have that kind of imagination. SO, unfortunately, this is a very weak attempt at "recycled"...

What's the recycled item, you may be asking yourself? Well do you see how the bow doesn't match the ribbon? Yeah, that bow is a reject from a different project from weeks ago. It was just sitting on my desk so I figured "what the heck?" LOL! It works I guess, even though it may not be quite what the challenge was about;)
I used Bubble Millie on this card. I stamped her on Neenah cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored her in with Copics. The papers are from EP's Walk in the Park collection.

Don't forget to check out the SCRS Blog for a peek at what the rest of the girls came up with. I'm sure their cards are much better, haha!

SCRS #47-Have a Nice Day!

Hello! Today is Tuesday and that means a new Sparkle Creations challenge is starting up!

This week's challenge is to create an Easel card! I've never made one of these before but it was so fun and easy! Here are the instructions from SCS: Easel Card. Here's a sample from me using the adorable new Breakfast Leslie!

I colored Leslie with Copics to match the papers ( I can't remember who makes this, and these are only scraps, sorry!) To create the sentiment panel, I cut a label from Grommet Lables nesties and then stamped a coordinating frame from The Crafts Meow. The sentiment fit in there perfectly:) Yay!

Here's a list of DT members with Easel Cards! Check 'em out as you're enjoying your morning cuppa joe;)

Have a great day!

Sparkle Creations *Karber* Previews--Millie Bubbles

Hello! Have you been loving the SCRS sneak peeks so far this week? I have to admit, I'm totally smitten with Cherry Blossom Rin! I can't wait to get her!

Today, the Karber team is previewing another new stamp called "Millie Bubbles"!

Isn't she sweet? I kept this card pretty simple, because I liked all the circles and didn't know what to add, lol! Trust me, if I could have added anything else, I would have, haha! I am pleased with the clean look though, and love this soft yellow and pink color combination, very happy and summery!

Sparkle Creations *Karber* Previews--Breakfast Leslie

Hey there! I'm here today with a preview at a newly released stamp set being released through Sparkle Creations on Saturday!! I was so excited when Sparkle asked me to be on the new Karber team as I really think these are some fun and cute images!

Here's my card...

I stamped Breakfast Leslie in Tuxedo Black in on Neenah cardstock, colored her up with my Copics, and then cut the image out. I stamped the gingham stamp from PTI in Daffodil Delight ink and then stamped the image on it again, and paper-pieced the apron on the table!

This image is so fun to color, don't you love that look of happy contentment on her face? I get that face too when I'm drinkin' my coffee;)

Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of Breakfast Leslie. Sparkle will be giving away a Breakfast Leslie to one lucky person!
