Finally....something new!

Hello, Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! I'm fighting a darn cold, but am feeling much better than I did a couple days ago. For some reason, mornings are the worst. In the evenings, I feel almost 100%. But anyways....
Last night, I was sitting at my desk wanting to create something, but nothing came to me...... Probably from the lack of creating this past month or so! The above card is what I came up with....not sure how much I like it, but it works! :) I got the color combo from Carrie over at Artistic Avenger. I love her blog, she is so inspiring!
I started with my Almost Amethyst base and stamped it with Polka Dot Background Stamp in Almost Amethyst ink.
I then grabbed my Curly Label Stamp Set from the Curly Label Punch Bundle (I think that's what it's called). It's in the section with the punches. I stamped the "thank you" image in Elegant Eggplant onto Whisper White Card stock. Punched it out with the Curly label Punch from the same bundle and adhered it to a piece of Always Artichoke Card Stock.
I tied a piece of Moss Gingham around a piece of Elegant Eggplant Cardstock. I mounted the "main image" onto the Elegant Eggplant and adhered that to a piece of Mellow Moss Cardstock.
Finally, I adhered all of that to the base of the card with Dimensionals.
Hope you enjoyed my card and thanks so much for stopping by!

Wow Flowers

The scan on this picture isn't that great! There is supposed to be Pink Pirouette flowers in the white space (next to the baja breeze flowers). I haven't played much with this set....lately it's been Dreams du Jour! I just love that butterfly!!! Okay, but that's not the stamp I should be talking about! LOL.

If you haven't noticed I like to use sketches or color combos to get me started when I'm in my stamp room. One, because I usually don't get much time without my little ones following me around or wanting to help (yes, I love every second of this...it's just more difficult getting things accomplished)! So I need to speed up my stamping time any way that I can....so I turn to sketches and/or color combos. For this card, I used help with my color combo...haven't played too much with the in colors, so I'm still getting used to them. Stampin' Up!(R) has a color combo chart for the new in colors and I end up using that a lot!! ---------->Click Here<---------- to view the chart.

For some reason, this color combo jumped out at me. Basic gray, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze. I started with white cardstock and stamped the flower image from Wow Flowers randomly in Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze.

I cut a strip of Baja Breeze and punched it with the Scallop Edge Punch. I attached that to the stamped strip of white cardstock and added some wide regal rose ribbon to hide the "seam".

For the sentiment, I stamped the "birthday wishes" in Basic Gray onto the bottom right corner of the Baja Breeze piece and adhered that to the Basic Gray card base.

To finish the card, I stamped the flower image in Basic gray onto Whisper white and punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I matted it with a punch 1 3/8" circle of Baja Breeze and layered that onto a scalloped piece of regal rose. Hope you've enjoyed my card.

Stamp Club Project (if you don't want to see it, don't look!) LOL

I've been quite a bit of stamping lately, I just haven't posted it yet! Why? I get on here to post and then I get side tracked! Like always! So if I have enough and don't get side tracked too much, I will post a different card every day or every other day next week. Until I run out of stuff I haven't showed you yet!

I don't know what it is, but when I need to get something done (say for my Stamp Club) I don't have any creativity in me! I sat in my stamping room for about an hour or two trying to figure out what I wanted to do. Not sure if I like the way this turned out, but it might just be the colors that are throwing me off (not used to working with bright colors)!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: All Recipes and Together forever
Paper: Real Red, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Bashful Blue
Inks: Old Olive
Accessories: Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain, Real Red Wide Grosgrain, Die-cut Blooms (Occasions Mini), Perfect Day Rub-ons and Slit Punch.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Tell me what you think about this card! I'll probably end up changing it or just redoing the whole thing over!

January 9, 2008

Okay...Hi! Didn't realize it had been so long since I posted! I have been trying to get caught up on getting my DDSS (demo secret sister) her cards and packages. Since this month is reveal month, I will post the cards I've been working. Now you won't get to see all of them...just a couple...don't want to ruin the surprise!

This one is my favorite! For some reason, I have a hard time with 3x3 cards. So I used the sketch from the Stampin' Success (SU! demo magazine). It's made for a regular sized card...but oh well! And that's what they are there for right?!

Stamps: Holiday Blitz and Fundamental Phrases
Paper: Blue Bayou Textured, River Rock, Purely Pomegranate, Mellow Moss and Very Vanilla
Ink: Mellow Moss and Purely Pomegranate
Accessories: Blue Bayou DS Ribbon (stitching removed); 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/4" and Scallop Circle Punches (what can I say, I love my punches).

This one not one of my favorites! (Sorry for the crooked picture) I used the Three for you punch box and man do I have a hard time with it! Don't know why either! Maybe I'll try this same layout, but with different colors. Who knows

Stamps: Three for you Punch Box
Paper: Purely Pomegranate Textured, More mustard, River Rock and Very Vanilla
Ink: Mellow Moss, More Mustard, Always Artichoke and Purely Pomegranate
Accessories: More Mustard 1/4" grosgrain, Always artichoke brads and Punch Box (same as listed above).

Simple, but I like it! I haven't done this very much...where I make the punched shapes/images the focal point. But I like how it turned out. I really wish I had a program to make my own water mark though....I think my copyright info...kind of throws things off a bit. Anyways...

Stamps: It's all Good and Fundamental Phrases
Paper: Purely Pomegranate Textured, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy, Mellow Moss and Very Vanilla
Ink: Purely Pomegranate and Basic Black
Accessories: Moss gingham Ribbon

Thanks for looking! Hope you enjoy everything. I need to make invitations, thank you cards and just some misc. cards (getting stocked up), so hopefully I'll be posting some of those. :) Have to get some laundry done first!
