Hello! I hope you are all having a great week so far! I found this great sketch at Inspirational Card Sketches. The pattern paper is from My Minds Eye. I love it! It's really close to Riding Hood Red with Baja Breeze dots! I'm going to have to go back and get more. The ribbon is from RABOM (light blue). See how well it matches Baja Breeze?! I tied the ribbon and made the bow using a button and hemp twine like shown Nichole shows HERE, only I did it upside down so the knot would be underneath.

Stipple Rose

Good morning! I hope you all had a Happy Easter. I meant to post this yesterday, but we had a lot going on. My husband's grandmother had a stroke early Sunday morning and bleeding in her brain. She is doing much better now and the bleeding has stopped. She's still in ICU, but she was talking up a storm and even making jokes last night. She told us she's gonna stick around until hubby and I give her some great grandkids . She is such a sweet lady.

Here is a card I made last week. I love this rose from Stipple Rose. This is an image I received from WRAK. This was really fun to color. I somehow managed to get a 2 big red spots in the background of this, so I cut it out.

I got my ribbon from Ribbons And Bows Oh My yesterday! I am so happy with it! I got 18 rolls .I'm thrilled to finally have some Baja Breeze ribbon!! The sale is over now, but the prices are still great. You can find a list HERE that has the SU color matches.

Well, I need to get my house cleaned up, catch up on my google reader and try to get some stamping done today. I'll try to post tomorrow, but that of course depends on if I get to stamp today . See y'all later! Have a great day!!

Stamp Something Challenge

Good morning! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! This weeks theme for the Stamp Something challenge is Black Friday! Just make something using black. That's simple enough right?

The layout for this card comes from an past sketch challenge on SCS, 143. I stamped the image in Pink Pirouette and then again with Purely Pomegranate, but I don't think you can see the Pink Pirouette. I didn't move over enough.

Sketch cards

Good morning! I hope you are all having a good day. Guess what? I finally ordered some Copic markers! OMG, I am so excited! I've been dying to get some for a while, but I was scared to start buying them and then getting sucked in and feeling like I need them all, which I'm sure will happen . I got 16, so I'm hoping I can get by for a while with those colors. I can't wait to get them! They shipped yesterday!

Yesterday my best friend Caroline came over to stamp with me. I managed to get two cards done! Both of them use the CPS sketch from last week-CPS90. I LOVE this sketch! It's so versatile, and has a bunch of layers.

The image on the first card I made few weeks ago. Just one of those things I couldn't figure out what in the heck to do with.

My blog is doing that double spacing junk again, but it's so weird! It's only doing it under the pictures. It's fine where I'm typing right now. It won't let me change the size of the text down there either, but it will let me change the font and the color. So anyway, I just didn't skip spaces, because it was just too long!

She is having a huge blog candy giveaway in honor of world Alzheimer's day. This is such a horrible disease that has taken so many wonderful people. This is especially near and dear to me because my grandmother has Alzheimers disease. Carolyn is asking that we send cards to the caregivers of Alzheimer's patients, which I think is a fabulous idea, so I am sending this card to my grandmother's nursing home.

Stamp Something Challenge 20

Good morning and happy Friday!! This weeks Stamp Something Challenge is an easy one...Embellished Somethings! Now stop hoarding all of those embellishments and put them to good use =).

This card measures 4.25 X 4.25". It took no time to make! I stamped the sentiment and the image twice. Once in Pink Pirouette and again in Riding Hood Red almost on top. I didn't use my SAMJ though, so you can only see parts of the Pink Pirouette underneath. I am lovin' these colors! -Stamps-Upsy Daisy, Polka Dots & Paisley, Priceless

Upsy Daisy

OMG, I am just loving Upsy daisy! I got my order yesterday with that and two of the new In Colors. Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red are just gorgeous! I'm not quite as sad about Pomegranate being gone now, but I am still kicking myself for not ordering an extra pack paper before it sold out though. Can you see a pattern here . Anyway, here are two cards I made yesterday. The flower image on both cards were stamped in a light color, then just a little off with a darker color. I don't have any of the new DSP yet, so I sort of made my own using white embossing powder and the polka dots from Polka Dots & Paisley. It does kinda look like DP I think . I *finally* remembered to order the embossing buddy. Seriously, I've been meaning to order it for at least a year, but it's one of those things that seems so insignificant when your flipping through the catty and seeing so many gorgeous stamps. That thing really does make a difference though! No more stray EP spots.
