Thursday Sketch # 7

Here is my Thursday sketch for this weekrazz.
I had a really hard time with this sample. It just looked like something was missing at the top. Finally I used the tab punch and stamped merry from Perfect Endings (retired) on it, now I'm happy with it. I know it's kind of an odd sketch but Crazy for Christmas (retired) seemed to work perfect. I think Festive Favorites or Big on Christmas would work, but I didn't have either of those. I really need more stampswink. I do have an order coming Monday though! I can't wait! Sorry for all of the retired stuff, but it just seemed to work. I'm pretty limited on Christmas sets right now too. I only have a couple that are current.

-Stamps-Perfect Endings, Crazy For Christmas, Linen Background, Season of Joy (the swirl was stamped off).
-Ink-River Rock, Real Red, Old Olive
-Paper-Dashing DSP; River Rock, Real Red, Old Olive cardstock
-Accessories-Round tab punch, Real Red1/4" Grosgrain ribbon; Real Red & Old Olive markers.

Thursday Sketch # 5

Sorry I'm getting this up so late. I really need to start making the sketch cards the day before since normally I stamp at night, but I just never seem to get around to to it =).

I'm pretty happy with how this one came out. The picture looks pretty bad though. I was having a really hard time getting a decent picture of this card. My camera doesn't seem to like these colors.

-Stamps-Baroque Motifs, Linen Background, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Season of Joy & Snow Flurries
-Ink-Baroque Burgundy, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke
-Paper-Baroque Burgundy, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Kraft, and Whisper White.
-Accessories-Mellow Moss 1/4" grosgrain and Glue dots.

Thursday Sketch # 4

Sorry I'm so late getting this up. I was watching 1408 with my hubby. Thats a really good movie by the way. Kinda weird, but very good. Definately not a dull moment.
Yay, new stamps today. Well I was good, all I got is the Snowflake spot, some sponges and an Always Artichoke marker.I seem to have a problem lately, that either I put too many layers on a card, or it's a one layer. There is no medium for me anymore. I think I need to work on that. On snowflake I did the rock and roll technique with Soft Sky and Blue Bayou.
-Stamps-The Snowflake Spot and Season of Joy
-Ink-Purely Pomegranate, Blue Bayou and Soft Sky
-Paper-Purely Pomegranate, Blue Bayou and Soft Sky cardstock. Cutie Pie DSP.
-Accessories-Silver Cord, Silver brads, Stampin Sponges and Tag corner punch.

Does anyone know how I can put smilies on here? Every time I try it just shows the image code.

Thursday Sketch # 2

Sorry, I forgot to post a sketch yesterday. I've been working on the Sheetrock in my living room. Ugh, what a job! I had no idea this would be so much work, otherwise I probably wouldn't have even started. My entire house (me included) is covered in Sheetrock dust from me sanding. It is horrible. I have a towel under the door to my stampin' room so my stuff in here doesn't get covered too, lol. I'm hoping to be done and painting tonight though. It's gonna be Cranberry Crisp (from last years In Colors).

Well anyway, here is the sketch. I haven't made a sample for it yet, but get that done as soon as I get a chance. =)

Thursday Sketch #1

Well, I've always wanted to try to make a sketch, so I finally decided to give it a try. Surprisingly enough, I found it much easier to make a sketch first then make the card. I always though it would be harder, but I actually enjoyed it. I used paint, and just kept putting up squares and rectangles until I liked the result. So anyway, I made about 12 of them last night, so I'll be posting these for at least 12 weeks =), but hopefully I'll be able to come up with more between now and then, lol. So here is number one. I'd love to see what you do with the sketch if you'd like to share. Just leave a comment on this post =). Here is the sample that I came up with last night. I just got some new stuff yesterday, so I was dying to use it. I've been seeing awesome stuff made with this set, so I had to have it =). I think I may have tried to cram too many layers into this little card, but I'm pretty happy with it anyway =).
This card measures 4.25 X4.25".
-Stamps-Season Of Joy
-Ink-Old Olive, Real Red
-Paper-Real Red, Old Olive, River Rock, and Chocolate Chip cardstock and Dashing DSP.
-Accessories-Pewter Hodgepodge hardware, Stampin' Write Markers, Real Red grosgrain ribbon and Stampin Sponges.
