I love IKEA!!

Wow! My mom and I went to IKEA Friday for the first time. The closest one is 4 hours away, so thats why we haven't been sooner. I still can't get over how awesome that place is! I can't wait to go back.I got a few new things for my stamp room =). I got the BYGEL rails, metal baskets and a few cups. I absolutely LOVE these things. The price is really good too. I only paid about $45 for 5 rails, 11 baskets and 3 plastic cups. The wouldn't all fit on one wall so I have 3 right next to me and the other 2 are on the wall my table is on.
This bookcase I use to store my stamp sets. This didn't come from IKEA though, but I didn't have this last time I posted pics of my stamp room. This came from Wal-mart. Excuse all of the holes in the wall ;). I need to do a little sheetrock work and then paint.

And this is a bookcase I've been wanting forever. It's called the EXPEDIT. I wanted to get the bigger one, but I didn't really have the space for it without blocking my only window in this room. The boxes inside are KASSETT magazine boxes. I also got two packs of the LINGO magazine files. I decided I'm going to paint this room either So Saffron or Apricot Appeal. I think that will go really nice with the black, white and red stuff I have in here.If you want to see the rest of my stamp room I posted pictures HERE a while back. I don't have the shelves on the walls for stamp sets anymore, but pretty much everything else is the same aside from my new stuff ;).

My stamp room

Well, I thought I'd finally post some pictures of my stamp room. I just cleaned it last night (well for the most part anyway). Hubby built the table for me a few years ago. As you can see, it's not completely done yet. We sill have to cover the 2'X4' front and legs with something. Other than that though I love it. The table is 4' deep and 8 foot long so it gives me plenty of room. If your wondering what the lines are all over the front of the table, those are one foot measurements. I did a ribbon swap a long time ago, so that made it much easier to measure yards of ribbon.

This is how I store my stamps. I wanted them all the all on display where I can easily see them. This is most of them, but the stuff I don't like anymore is shoved in the bottom drawer. Most of the shelves I built...thats why they're so crooked. Aside from the top one, the rest were built out of some scraps of wood, so I didn't even have to cut anything. I would like to redo these someday though and make them look nicer.
I made these of of green bean cans. I just covered them with cardstock and stamped on them. I wrapped the cardstock around part of the inside too to cover the jagged edges. This is my ribbon rack. I made this myself. The whole thing was made out of drawer fronts. Hubby used to work at a cabinet shop, so he got to take home all the scraps he wanted. This was also my first experience using a chop saw. I'm happy to say I still have all 10 fingers, lol. I really liked the design of the SU ribbon rack, but I'm kinda of " I want it now" person, so I just went a built it. I did have to have hubby nail it together for me though. I can use regular nails, but the little tiny ones I can't do anything with but bend. This is how I store my cardstock. I picked this up at Target a while back on clearance for $13 thanks to a thread I saw on SCS. Here is a closer view of the top.And of course, I had to put my computer right on my table so I wouldn't have to go far for inspiration.

So you think you're a slob?!

Okay, So I've seen a lot of you post pictures of your messy stamp rooms, so I thought it was time to confess that I am a horrible slob. When I get in the groove I don't put ANYTHING away. And then normally by the time I get done stamping I don't feel like cleaning up my mess. So then the next time I want to stamp I don't want to have to clean first so I just kinda push stuff out of my way and leave myself a tiny little place to stamp. You have no idea how long this goes on before I decide to clean up after myself. Normally it's when I can't find anything at all, and I start to forget what I actually own. There are 10 stamp sets on the table right now most of them out of their cases, and 16 ink pads. The worst part though is I have a color caddy with in my reach, and I shelves on the walls that I keep my stamps on (also within reach). There is a ton of paper on the table too. I always pull out a bunch of colors trying to decide what to use, then don't put them away even though I have hanging file folders with in reach. I'm dreading putting all this stuff away. Lol. So anyway, here's what it looks like right now.
