Midnight Madness is Back and We've Gone Monthly!

We're back and we want to welcome you to the very first Midnight Madness Monthly Challenge !

The challenges will pretty much remain the same, however you will have the whole month to submit your creations. You are welcome to submit up to four projects using the sketches provided as a guide. We may add some fun twists with themes too. The themes are merely for inspirations and not required to play our sketch challenges. We will continue to award the Gold Star and Remarkable awards each month as well as a prize each month. We hope you will have fun working with our sketches and will be inspired by the fabulous Midnight Madness Design Team's work. The new DT  is a collaboration of both the Midnight Madness and "Priscillastyles" Design Teams.  Have fun and be sure to mark your calendar for the first of every month and come join and check out our NEW Monthly Challenges.  This is my creation inspired by Priscilla's sketch:

Love Birds

I used Copic markers to color my image and then various dies from Spellbinders, Marianne's and Cheery Lynn.  My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and my design paper from Basic Grey.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #91 for Priscilla Styles

For my first Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge card, I'd like to show you the card I created for the Priscilla Styles design team:

This is "Dragonfly" from the Priscilla Styles Design Store, just so many details!  My design paper is

"Once Upon A Time " from DCWV and Basic Grey's "Kioshi".    I cut a second set of wings and glued to the original wings to give more depth.   I painted my dragonfly with Luminarte H20's.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge

Stampin' Sisters in Christ has a wonderful challenge going on this week, create a card or project with the theme of "new".   I wanted to enter the card I created for the Midnight Madness Design Team, so forgive me for posting this twice, but I need a "new" link to enter!  I just think Priscilla's "love birds" are such a beautiful image for "new" love.

I painted my wreath and birds with Copic markers and then used a Spellbinder's heart die to mount them on.  The heart was pained with Lindy's Stamp Gang's "poinsettia red gold".  I added lace, a MS heart border, satin ribbon and heart charms.  My design paper is from My Mind's Eye "Love Nest" collection.

Happy New Year - 2011

I know for some the New Year is already here, but in my little spot of the world it doesn't arrive until 12:00 p.m. EST.  We had the most fun over at the Priscilla Styles CDAC group with a year end party celebration on December 28th.  I made a New Year's card and matching champagne bottle bag with a Happy New Year design from the Priscilla Styles Store.  If you want to meet some talented designers and have fun to boot, I invite you to join us!  Just click on the CDAC picture on the right-hand side of my blog to join.

I colored my images with Copic markers and my DP is digital.  I just happened to have this beautiful ribbon in my stash leftover from Christmas.

I was thinking about how this month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I thought this would be a perfect image.  My mother is a breast cancer survivor - 35 years!  I colored Tilda with my Copic markers and used Basic Grey DP and Prima flowers.

Here is my creation:

My image is from DRS, "Giant Poinsettia".  This is such a lovely rubber stamp!  I colored with Copic markers and then outlined my circle with gold leaf and mounted on Spellbinder's lotus pendant.  My poinsettia flowers are from Prima.  Basic Grey's Jovial Collection adds the finishing touch.

My next card was designed by our own Priscilla of "Priscilla Styles".  This is her newest design, "Christmas Stocking".  There are just so many possibilities with this gorgeous image!
