Crafty Palace Storage finds

As most of you know storage and crafting seem to run hand in hand.  Some people have purpose built studios with spaces made for items they need, I am more of an shopper buy accident and I happen to stumble across items that in turn end up fab storage.  here are my two latest finds.

These were 2 a tenner from a local Facebook group.  Now I didn't know what would fit in them but I thought with all those little "shelves" they would be perfect for something and as it happens they fit my Bigz dies very well.  So my goal one day will be to have both side full up!

Again from a local Facebook sale, again no clue what I would use it for but happens to be fabulous for my misc punches.  Large Woodware ones on the bottom, Medium size in the middle and lots of misc punches at the top. PERFECT!  In someways I do wish I had a purpose built shed with a place for everything but then in other ways this reflects the real me, I am not a tidy tidy person, I like "stuff".  I like to see other "stuff" and nothing drives me more nuts than trying to find something so if its all kinda out, then it makes it easier :)

Now it is getting to the point when I will have no more room, but until then I will continue looking out these crafty storage finds and seeing just how well they can slot into my palace :)  Now if only I would be able to find a space for my BIG SHOT PRO, it currently lives on the floor as I dont have the dedicated table space to be able to leave him out :(

Brrrrrr

Its cold today. Really would just like to hibernate inside but am popping to Horley town with Mum, need a few bits from Lidls (dont laugh) some of their stuff is actually fine.

Couple of boy cards for today.... this cute dino is from Spiral Whisper and one of their new designs, cute but not too cute so he is ideal for boys cards. I have kept this really simple and not yet added any wording, I am just going to see what I need it for, most probably a card for one of Harveys school friends. The paper is the 99p pad from The Glitter Pot, the silver Zoomz are from Stamp Galaxy and stars are a star punch from Stampin' Up! (me)

This card is a real mix of stamps. The main image is Pink Gem Designs. The wording is Stampendous Clear set as are the small stars and the spaceship. The papers again are from the paper pad, I thought this had a spacey/planety look about it.

I dont know about you but I struggle to store some of my stamps. Like the stamps that come in a plastic bag that you have to tear to get the stamps out of, you have nowhere to put the stamps after. Well the other day I was sorting out stuff and I had a big box set of Thunderbirds videos that I was given, after putting them on freecycle at least twice I decided it was time to chuck. Only it suddenly dawned on my the video boxes would be fab and the storage boxes they were in were great too. So here are my boxes all labeled up. Some are empty, like the Magnolia Spring and Gorjuss design but I am pritty sure I will be getting both so I got them ready ;0)

Been colouring some more Leanne Ellis designs in last night so I might have a few cards to share later.

Forward planning.... pretties for my Crafty Palace

We all like pretties right? I have been working on sorting my stash ect and getting organised and tidied up for my Palace. My Mum had this lovely glass vase that she didnt want to throw but didnt have anywhere for it to go, she is downsizing greatly and has so much stuff and not enough space. So I said I would gladly take it, seeing a vision of paper flowers to be dipped into when the need arises! I thought it would look lovely on my desk, together with my yummy glass jar or ribbons. These are my fav and coveted ribbons from USA from Candice, she was my shopper and got me these great ribbons, almost too good to use eh? I also have but unpictured is my Argos pink wire cake stand which I have some lovely glass jars filled with zoomz and baubles and a few handy ink pads too.

I held off from calling the shed people today to ask how wide my door was going to be! LOL I was going to start measuring my furniture to see what I can fit in. Ideally space for two to sit. I have my desk and I want another place for friends to come and play too. But lets face it, its only 10 x 8 so I wont have masses of room to play with once the units are in and my stamp drawers too.... to say I can wait maybe a understatement. Its taking the sadness away, well not taking it away but you know what I mean, which has been around me these last few months. I scrawled Heart Dad and 4 kisses into the cement, I think Darren was both understanding and shaking inside after hours of laying and getting it flat I was out there with a metal pole scraping into it! LOL

Wanted to add these are just my loose flowers! LOL Didnt want you all to think this was all I had! I have around 25 jars and pot of more :) The picture doesnt really show you the size either, its about 10 inches high, its lovely.

Hey Bella I still lovey you!

I have had to rehome my bellas a few times due to their forever growing state, here is there new home. Ok its not brain surgery to see I have jazzed up a simple basket with chipboard letters (thanks Sis from cricut forum) and lots of flowers and Bellas Baubles. I have around 60 bella/fella/other Stamping Bella stamps in here and room for some more too. I have a few of these baskets (ikea) and I will make one for my Hannas (when I get more) and may even move my Magnolias into one too as they look soooo pretty together on my bookcase. As yes I know they have to shuffle through to look at them, but that makes sure none get forgotten as seeing them will remind me to use those ones too.

A storage solution

I have been thinking of a way to store my Magnolia stamps and this is what I have come up with. This is a DVD case and I was using it for my cuttlebug storage but it really didnt work that well as the dies are quiet heavy and when turning the page they all used to fly out! Drove me nuts. So I have rehomed them in a box for now and thought what can I use this case for.

I have used plastic page dividers and cut them to 11cm x 11cm and then stuck the stamps onto that. Most stamps are ez mounted but a few I have recently got I have applied "Aleenes Tack it over and over glue" this is a great glue, very very sticky to apply. I put it on the backs of the stamps last night and left to dry overnight. I say dry, it doesnt as such but it goes very very tacky and thats how you can apply it to your stamps, peel off the plastic divider onto your block and back onto the storage sheet afterwards. I ran out of ez mount and had a bottle of this handy so thought I would use it. I might even get one of these folders for my Bellas.... at present they are in a box but its hard to find them like that.
