Teacher Gifts

Been a busy week with Teacher and TA gifts.  I can not for now share the card I made for Caiden's teacher (that will be posted next Monday) but I can share the TA gifts and also a gift I made for a teacher who was leaving the school and who had taught Harvey three years in Primary school.

Here are the flowers I made for the Teacher and TA's in Caiden's School.  I used the
Flower Punch board.  I curved the stems so they stood on their own.

This is a last minute chalkboard I made for Harvey's old teacher

Close up of the butterfly that I got Harvey to made for the chalk board.
He said it was really fun crafting with me :) Probably something
to do with holding a heat tool and melting stuff!! LOL

I really love  making things!!  As if you didn't know that :) haha

Butterfly Pivot Card - Karen Burniston - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Finally snatched an evening in my Palace last night and I was dying to play with another one of the KB/ECD dies.  Last nights winner was the Butterfly Pivot.  These pivots are so easy to use and make lovely cards in minutes.  I teamed the butterfly die up with some Anna Griffin new papers too.

As well as the pivot die you also get the decorator dies in this set
so the two large butterflies I have used, the small one, a small flower and the body.
All that you need in one set, I love that!

Here is the front of the card, as well as the butterfly I have used the Agatha Edges, just snipped off small parts of the design to decorate this card and I used a ECD Happy Birthday die too to add a sentiment.

All items available from Crafts U Love in the UK

Thanks for stopping by, off to work today, another wet and windy day in the UK to come.
I hope you are all keeping safe and warm.

Kids Create and Take at Crafts U Love

Yesterday was kids Create and Take and we were getting the kids ready early for Fathers Day which is 19th June.  A simple little card but enough work for the kids.  Colouring in the Wild Rose Trophy Guy and using the mini rosette dies from Sizzix to make the "Dad" Rosette.  Mounted onto a Kraft coloured card.

We'll be running the kids Create and Take all through the summer holidays.  No need to book however if you are bringing a group let us know so we can prepare enough packs.  There will be a different project every week.

Some days...

Don't you wish everything would slow down and you could snooze like this?  They would have to be some mighty HUGE flowers to hold me up!! LOL

This lovely image is a new one by Penny Black and we got these in work last week.
This one is called "Posy Petals"

I have used my Magnolia Fence again, I said to my work friend Tracy the other week
I wasn't sure where mine was, but had a bit of a rummage about my palace and found
it.  Since then I have used it twice.  Make a nice little scene.
The image has been stamped onto a piece of white card  and cut out with
Labels One nestabilities.  I then mounted it onto this pretty Imaginesce Paper
and used my Flourish Martha punch along the edge of that.
Also added the cute little fiskars cloud punch too.

** edited to add this card was made under extreme stress... firstly when entering my palace a spider ran to stand on top of the door frame as I walked under it.  So I was more in that out so pulled up my blind and frantically waved at my puzzled hubby who finally understood my "spider" impression.  Then making the card I pulled my blind back down only to find its twin in my blind!  so I quickly rolled it back up and THEN daisy my elephant of a cat jumped on the roof and that was it for the night, I'd had enough scares.  I think I need to invest in some sealant and seal the little blighters out!

Enjoying it

I am LOVING my shed is moved.  I think I have been in it more since its been moved than I was in 3 years!  I pop in a out in the day for a few minute with the kids off its hard to grab more than that.  But I am able to sit out for a hour or two in the evenings, got my TV on, mostly on DVD (mostly Twilight and New Moon) as the aeriel is pretty rubbish and I can get to everything, its all there in one cosy little shed!  We've almost got the kids area fenced off, Milo is a but miffed about it and keeps poking his head through the picket fencing.   but he still has enough room to run and around and play, it will be fab for the kids to have a clean and separate place to play in.

Tomorrow at Crafts U Love I have designed this cute little project for the kids Create and Takes.  11am - 2pm  Just pop in if you are bringing a group please give us a ring before so we know how many are coming.  Last week we had 8 turn up a the beginning so maybe come at 12 or later?!  Costs £3 for the kids  - Paula tells me these little pots wont be going home empty, *wink *wink with Easter on its way there might be a little something sweet inside :)

Demonstration at the weekend

I was demonstrating and teaching this weekend at Crafts U Love.  Here are some of the cards I made ;)

Had beaver sleepover on Saturday night, next to no sleep, yesterday I was fine.  In fact I didn't stop all day.
Today however I feel shattered.  So I will keep this brief as I am just so tired.

Monochrome Card

I made this card for the Monochrome Craft Challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenge blog.  Also for samples for my demo table this Saturday at work where I am playing with Penny Black stamps! :)

Here is an "almost Monochrome card"  just two colours on this one.

Stamps are from the Mimi in paris set from Penny Black.  I thought this elegant paper looked good with these stamps.  Not something you would usually do but I felt it worked.  The paper happens to have this ornate frame on it.  Which I stamped Mimi with Poodle on and then I stamped again onto card and coloured and cut out.

Hope you like.

Weekend already?!

Well its always ended too :(  where do these weeks fly to?

I made a card last night for a little boy who's party my boys are going to today with Daddy.  Harvey is trying to be all grown up saying he is only going to the wacky warehouse to look after the little ones as at 8 he is too old, when I know he still loves it there!!   He'll be running about with the rest of them.

Used another Penny Black stamp, this time a cute kitty cat hanging on a kite string.  Stuck with primary colours for this one.  A cuttlebug folder for the numbers, swiped over the embossing with a white pigment ink pad.

Quiet excited as a local mum is opening a shop in Merstham village.  She does the most amazing murals and other fab home decor stuff and she is allowing me to try and sell some cards in her shop.  So I had better get planning and costing some designs.

A quick card

Today's quick make is a scallop shaped card using a Penny Black stamp and the Marianne Die both items from work.

Today I have been looking after my doggy Milo who had his "bits" off on Wednesday so he is still a little sorry for himself, so a quiet day with a tiny bit of crafting.

The events unfolding on the TV in Japan are shocking, the tv new so harrowing to watch :(  I hope you and yours are all safe.  It certainly puts things into perspective doesn't it?

Stay safe everyone x

New card

I made this card tonight whilst my hubby is watching Inception as soon as it started I knew I wouldn't "get it" so didn't even bother to try :0)

This is an adorable image from Penny Black.

Couldn't find any papers to go with it, really wanted some lovely berry papers.

This has been added to the Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes

Waiting for Tuesday

That's all Harvey is interested in, Tuesday as he is 8 on that day :)  He is soooooo excited!

I made this card tonight, all was going well until I "wonkily" stamped his name on it.  But by then I didn't have the energy to start again.  He'll love it, wonkiness and all.

I used my Cricut to cut and weld the 8's
Woodware Mice for the main images
Tip of finger for the white dots!
Stampin Up! for the wonky letters

Got lots of buzzing about tomorrow to get things ready for his birthday :)  Its so lovely when they are
young and very excited.  He has been going mad all week everytime he thinks about how close it is now.

My first love

Penny Black was my first love in stamping and I still love their designs.  Here I have used a cute hedgehog from a clear set and popped him inside a clear treat cup from Stampin' Up! with some little beads as "shakers".  The sentiment and leaves and flowers are Stampin' Up! too.  The heart border is Martha and the cute little hearts from Quixotic Paperie.

I am thrilled to be teaching and demoing with some brand new Penny Black stamps at work, so please book your place to be creating with these adorable images.

Been a hard week with work being SOOOO busy and Harvey not being well
I am very tired but pleased I managed this card :)

Hello

Hi All
Hope you are all alright, bit dusty in here!  Been busy working and too tired to blog anything.

Lets see if I have made anything..

Oh yes, I made this cute card using one of my New Helz Cuppleditch stamps.  I just loved this cute rabbit!

And this one using my other new Helz Cuppleditch set too :) They are very cute aren't they!

We've also discovered Geo Caching and I am sure we will be doing a lot more of that as Spring and Summer approaches.  A good way to go for walks and get the kids excited about it.

Will be back soon with a more regular blog regime.

Magnolia Card

I actually made a simple card today.  Coloured images in with Stampin Up! Ink pads and Blender pen.  I think the colouring has turned out ok.  I always used to use a blender pen, havent for years but I think it might be my new best friend.

Robots taking over...

I made this card for one of Harveys school friends who has just celebrated his 7th birthday and is
having a go-carting birthday party today.  I used my Robotz cartridge to make the main image.  I used a new cuttlebug folder that has just come into work and I thought perfect for this cartridge.  On my cricut I have design Studio but I also have Sure cuts alot and I managed to find the cogs to cut out and stick on.  The 7 is from the Robotz cartridge which also has a lovely font, a nice big chunky one.

Caiden has his party this afternoon, I am out this morning so its a busy day.

Who stole the cheese

Just a quicky as I really need to get kids ready for school and me work.  I made this with the Create a Critter cartridge the other day.

Toooooo Cute!

Here are a few photos from our Beaver Family Day to a local wildlife place called "Beaver Waterworld"  a small rescue place where they rescue reptiles and also have beavers there too.

Great to handle these Monitor Lizards and snakes!!

Creating Critters

Been having fun creating critters this weekend (between work and family time)

Here are two cards made with these ADORABLE cut outs.

Owl is cute!  not sure about the card though... bit boring!

Harvey asked me to make a bug for him and then promptly went off and left me making it.  So I used it
to make this card.

I hope you had a nice weekend?
