Thing 1 and Thing 2

Otherwise known as my Boys Harvey and Caiden dressed up yesterday (Thursday) as Thing1 and Thing2 from The Cat in the Hat for World book day.  Here they are dressed up and ready to go to school.  Those eagle eyed amongst you will spot Harvey wearing a little extra than his brother.

Yep, my gorgeous Thing1 Harvey was 9 on Thursday!  How the heck did that happen?
Here is his rather naughty cake.   Harvey is this year massively into Moshi Monsters so
most of his presents from me were Moshi related.

Here is the card I made him using Boofle designs from Crafts U Love

I did made Harvey a Moshi Monsters bunting but didn't get a good photo so I will sort
that out this weekend and post it.  Tomorrow we have 4 friends from school going bowling
and pizza hut.  We kept it small with the plan that we were able to fit them all in our car
but my cars gearbox had other ideas!  Its a shame as we could of in hindsite asked a few more!

Have a lovely weekend

Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick Chicken!

Lay a little egg for me :)

My neighbour is rescuing 3 chickens from their life in hell in a battery farm.  She gets them today so I made this little welcome for them.  She has a adorable chicken coup and all the gear.  They will be in a very sorry state when they get here.  No feathers (or certainly lacking)  never seen daylight and not being able to walk :(

It will take some time but I will look forward to the time they start getting better and living a happy life.

Had a fantastic holiday.  Utterly exhausted after it!  Anyone done Butlins with 2 kids will understand.
Have a stinking cold right now so feeling very rough but lots of cards to make for lots of friends who are celebrating their birthdays this week. Also the shop I have been selling my cards at has sold quiet a few of mine so that's great news, few little pennies to spend.

Here are a few of my fav pictures from holiday.

Show me Sunday will re-launch again today.... I just need to go and find something I want to give away!!

Stampers Ten & other stuff

I am trying to find 2 more people for the stampers ten starting October.

Email me for more info

Remember most SU stuff will now be posted on my other site to keep this blog free (er) from all that :)

As for general cardmaking, I haven't been doing much recently, Harvey hasn't been well, has been waking me in the night for the last week and I have been getting very disturbed nights and ready for bed at 9pm but the  of course Big Brother has been keeping me up past that!  Have had 3 orders for my bunting recently so that is good :)

And here is my bitty bunting family.  These are cute and can be and I can make your family to suit your requirements so let me know if you want one by hopping over to my "Say it in bunting" website.

Of course it wouldnt be first day of school without my photo that I take each year.  Here is Harvey complete with his big bag (full of pencils and pens) he was so excited by taking his own bag now, what a big boy he is getting to be!   Here is Caiden who is now starting Reception.  He is still only part time and is going 9 - 12:15 He was very hungry when he came out from school today, they only had carrots as their "fruit" and veg and he doesnt eat carrots so was a bit hungry and tired  when I picked him up.  Straight home for lunch.

Darren made some cake with the boys yesterday. YUMM YUMM

Back to school means back to beavers tonight so I doubt very much anything creative will be made tonight either!

Be back soon xxx

Caidens Graduation

Caiden had his pre school graduation. I think I might have taken him in too late as he got there as they were eating already, so he sat down and was given a plate of biscuits as he obviously missed the sandwiches ect.... Not that it phased him!

"hey this is MY kinda party"

"Hmmm.... bit boring this! "

"Hey look what I can do!"

"Oh and there is this one too! "

"This is my fav, hey mum look at me ! "

"remember this one Mum?, you taught me this one last week"
Opps!! I did too! He was messing about with my face the other day and he pressed my nose, so I stuck my tongue out, then I showed him to twist my nose and my tongue moved that way.. he was laughing his head off... he was sitting there twisting his nose and moving his tongue...
Hope I have given you all a laugh. Especially Nanny and Grandma and Grumps.

A lovely Christmas

We had a lovely fun day Christmas and Boxing Day. The boys got too much but had a blast. I got some lovely pressies too and I made a nice roast dinner ;0) I got 11 more promarkers from my Mum, would have been 12 but she couldnt find the other colour. I got Lost in Austin on DVD from my Mum which is great as I really enjoyed the series on TV. SLippers from both my Mum and Darren's parents so my feet are nice and warm. My drunken husband surprised me with coming home with a Kodak scanner, printer and copier and a £20 Marks voucher which I spent today on a fluffy pink dressing gown and a nice star necklace. So on Christmas Eve I was setting up my new printer Darren said "I hope it works I dropped it a few times" (told you he was drunk) LOL What is he like?? I am happy to say it did work.
Promarkers Used ; Meadow Green, Lime Green,Maroon, Apple, Lilac, Pastel Green, Dusky Pink
So I wanted to make a picture using my new colours and I also wanted to play with my cute Denny the Dragon stamp from www.pinkgemdesigns.blogspot.com . All but the watering can has been coloured with the new colours. I used the Stampin' Up! Saleabration stamps again, cant resist and remember order in Jan/Feb over £45 and you will get a FREE set (there are 4 to choose from).. I teamed the stamp up with the punches and made some fun and funky flowers. I used black Stazon to stamp onto the coloured acetate and a white pigment ink on the Rose Red card. The paper is a Daisy Bucket one from The Glitter Pot. I also used my trusty Scalloped Cirle Punch (this is one punch I WOULDNT be without) and a Craftwork cards pink cirle (thanks Jules x)
EVER HAD THAT FEELING WHEN YOUR 2 YEAR OLD IS QUIET?? ITS LIKE THE FEELING OF DREAD.... WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY UP TO.... then you get the whiff of Sudocream and realise its coming from behind the chair!

I was too cross to take a photo of his legs, t shirt, 2 cushions ect ect He was sent upstairs with Daddy (who incidentally left the cream in harms way) to the bath. and I was left to scrub the chair; I then went up and took over the bathing and sent Darren back down to scrub the sofa as I just havent got the muscle to scrub.
How many more days until they are back to school? DRAT Caiden doesnt even go yet!! LOL

Panic attack over!

PHEW! I printed off the 10 pages of instructions for the cards I am making Saturday for my class and struggled for a good half hour to understand the first few steps. Once mastered it was very easy. Thank goodness as we have a class of 12 for this one (or maybe 11 as one lady cancelled as she is ill - get well soon!) anyway I was thinking of doing a runner when I saw the instructions, but I wont, I'll be there! :) Still got to make another card today for it, but I have it sussed so I am not worried.

Bad night, Caiden didnt sleep yesterday, no sleep in the day means a nightmare night as well! He was awake at 11:45, Harvey came in at 2:30am, Caiden woke at 3:15am, Robert (BIL) got up for loo at 4am (I am a light sleeper and we have a creaky bottom stair) cat woke me at 5:20am, Harvey knocked his drink over the quilt at sometime in the night too, didnt see the time and I got up with Caiden at 6:10am. YAWN YAWN YAWN is it bedtime yet? And here is the little monster! Complete with chocolate face pack.

Harvey has a party after school, I am dropping him there and coming back, cant be bothered to stay. Rain looks like it is on its way. Typical, grotty weekend forecast! STILL no shed, all I want is a call to say a date! Does this man not know how important it is?!?!?! My sanity is on the brink!

Didnt see Mum yesterday, had a day indoors. Scrubbed the guinea pig hutch, tidied the garden ect Not sure what I am doing today either, Brother is going round to see mum to do a few jobs for her. I need to get my prep finished so I might try and do that this morning.

Doctors diagnosis

Bronchiolitis again. She has given some antibiotics and just said keep an eye on him. We have the added problem he hates medicines, actually the cause of him getting so upset the sick has been the medicine so I will mix it in with a fromage frais and hope for the best. c

Todays Card and a fantastic surprise...

Here is todays card, its made using a Magnolia image that Kim sent me (thanks mate) So I started with colouring this image the other day and then today when Caiden napped and Harvey was at school I quickly knocked up this card.

http://www.sillymonkeycrafts.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1045 here is a link direct to purchase (PRE ORDER) this stamp.

I LOVE this image and I have to admit that I have pre-ordered this stamp from sillymonkeycrafts.co.uk

Materials Used : Magnolia Stamp, Doodlebug paper, Stampin Up! doodle stamp, white Stampin Up! pigment ink, stickles glitter glue, Prima flowers, Flower buttons, blue card, thin black pen, Watercolour pencils and Aqua Brush.

So now for my fantastic surprise and the wonderful thing that is the web. Years ago I belonged to a forum and made many friends, one of which was a lady called Shawn, unfortunately we lost touch, but today whilst I assume blog hopping she found me and emailed me! I am sooo happy to have found her again. I was pregnant with Harvey when I last spoke to her online, so it was about 5 years ago. Love ya Shawn and missed ya! Lets keep in touch this time xxx

And coz I shared a picture of my beautifully clean Harvey looking all smart I needed to share this one of Caiden taken today looking less than clean!

I am sure all mums will know the stage of "I WILL feed myself" and "I will screech and holler if you try and feed me" So mummy let him feed himself a fromage Frais and this is how he ended up!

You know where's wally?

Here is Caidens version.... where's my sausage?

I nearly wet myself laughing at this... he often has mashed potato or gravy in his hair but not chunks of sausage!! ROTFLMAO

Bless him!

Could also be a case of "where's the card" but I am sorry ladies, I haven't managed one today. My next door neighbour but one asked me to look after her 4 year old daughter from 8:30 to 4:30 so I had 3 of them to deal with.

I am hoping to make a few tomorrow and I will be back with some photos. I am stamping and cuttlebugging in Chichester at Eternal Maker.

Here is a fab RAK that I received today from a kind lady called Sarah from the Cricut forum. These stamp arent currently available in the UK, they are a stampendous release but not coming for a few more weeks. I cant wait to use them and no guessing who I will be making a "thank you" card with these for. Thanks Sarah, you are a star. I love them! especially the hanging one and the vines and so pleased to have a little banana too for backgrounds.

Cutest cuddlebugger in town

Opps, look at that title!! LOL

Harvey at the grand old age of 4 years is an expect cuttlebugger. Caiden however is just learning the joys of this machine. I can not wait to get my boys the cuttlekids. :)

Don't look too close at the rug, it needed a hoover!

Saved from the landfill and hours of fun!

We had a nice time on Saturday afternoon. We are lucky in that we are in a cul de sac and we have a car park outside. Its very quiet as its only the neighbours (4 houses) that drive down. OK, dont think we are bad people, but Darren went to work Friday and one of his friends found this yellow tractor in the skip. They looked it over and there is nothing wrong with it! So he brought it home for our boys. Just needed a little scrub and the boys are so happy! Not that they didnt have enough cars already. You all know I am a avid user of freecycle, this is a prime example of how freecycle should be used. This tractor was destined to end up in a landfill. Why? when there is still life in it and plenty of years of fun to be had. Anyway we have it, Harvey is chuffed to bits as will Caiden when he is bigger. So we had fun pushing the boys around. It was Caidens first time out on the car and he loved it. You can see this from his smile. I found it hard to get a nice photo of Harvey, he was zooming about so quickly!

Death of a coconut!

BEFORE AFTER AFTER SIDE VIEW
Caiden has always had a big mop of hair, when he was born it was auburn and sticking up so much his nanny called him "coconut". Since then his hair was straight and down but it always has been very long..... that was until hubby got the clippers out last night and gave him a number 5! This picture makes him look bald, he has got hair, honest.

So, my little mop head has gone and I have a real little rebel on my hands!! He still looks cute as can be, but now there is mischief in those eyes.

Bad Choices?

Do you think sometimes you make a bad choice? Well dont panic, I am not going to get all deep and meaningful on you. I am talking "Malted Milk" or "Chocolate Bourbon" and for you outside the UK, and I am assuming that they arent available outside the UK then I am talking biscuits or cookies. OK so my decision was bourbon and look at this!!

I must say his bigger brother Harvey was much better on eating it, but even he does look like he had brown lipliner on!

Kids dont ya just love em'. And this was about the 3rd clothes change of the day!
