Inlay flower

Hello dear Friends:

Another card using the inlay technique...

I love how this technique makes the card look so beautiful...

The doily frame was a bit smaller than the perimeter of my card so I made a slit (between flowers) and voilà, the frame could be adapted to the size of my other panels, otherwise the doilies would of being on top of my grey panel
You can barely notice the slit between flowers...

I used 3 different frames the one with tiny scallops in white, the 2nd one in grey paper with a stitch border and the doily one...

White Peony: Inlay Technique

Hello Dear friends:

A sweet card for a dear friend...on white linen and parchment/vellum paper

The background was made using the "Bubble ring Collage" from Memory Box; die cut in Parchment paper...the same as the mini dragonflies, but in green parchment paper...

and the flower was colored with "Zig" brush markers from "Kuretake" and the technique was the inlay technique, where you place back each petal inside the flower...

Summer Boat Card...

Hello My Friends:

Here I am with another summer card...

This one turn out to be a little bit more laborious than other cards but the result is worth while...

The center panel (checkers in light blue)  is inserted in the floral frame...(inlay technique)
and the flowers of the frame were colored some with "Prismacolor"pencils, others filled with shiny "stickles"...and some others left with the "Negative" cut outs...

for the boat I used the "Paper Piecing" technique

and the waves (3 different pieces of paper) were also inserted in the frame...
and placed on top of the Checkers paper..

The stamps and the dies are a set of coordinating stamps and dies form Memory Box...

Happy Mother's Day

A very special day here in the USA...

a bouquet of flowers 

to celebrate 

Mother's day...

day celebrated in many other countries on different dates;
In Colombia, same as USA
In Mexico it was on May 10th

In Costa Rica it is in August
In Argentina it's on October;
In france it is at the en of may...
just to mention some...

My card, the stamp was colored in watercolor paper with "Zig watercolor Marquers from Kuretake"

and the I choose some shiny papers; gold  for the floral frame and for the background some glitter paper in turquoise color...
I used as well the inlay technique to insert the middle panel with the stamped bouquet in the center of the frame...
