More Valentines!!

Hello everyone!!!! After this month's Taylored Expressions release with all the Valentines, I am obsessed with hearts even though Christmas is only a week away!!! At this rate, I will be all set for Valentine's Day!!!

My first card features the Pockets and Pages 3x4 Part of My Heart die....it was used on Lollipop cardstock and the Love You sentiment dies from the new Hearts a Flutter Cutting Plate set were used to cut the sentiment out of both the diecut and Sugar cube card stock.

The white sentiment diecuts were popped in the negative space and taped to the back. The background papers are from the TE Formula For Love 6x6 paper pack and the Baker's Twine finishes it off.

Since I can't stand to lat anything go to waste, I used the negative cutout from the Pockets and Pages 3x4 Part of My Heart diecut from the first card....it was adhered to the Sugar Cube card base and the cute little heart flowers from the new Taylored Expressions Tag-a-Long Valentine were colored with Copics, cut out with the coordinating Tag-a-Long Valentine dies and popped up with foam dots.  A white Sharpie pen was used for the white highlight dots.

The sentiment is from the same set and the little white hearts were cut with the heart dies from the Hearts a Flutter Cutting Plate set. The Baker's Twine is the finishing detail.

Thanks for visiting....If I don't see you again before next week, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!!!!!

Make Up Tuesday

Good morning everyone....I have a few cards that I made this last weekend that I haven't had a chance to upload. It seems that the weekend just flew by...we had to spend most of Saturday at a funeral and Sunday was spent getting Valentines ready to deliver today. I have to work tomorrow and will spend all day Wednesday at a conference....yikes...I thought I was retired...LOL!!! Anyway.....enough whining....
I made this wedding card for Saturday's Inspiration challenge on Splitcoast. The site Stef picked out was called Santa Barbara Chic...it specializes in design and wedding inspiration.
I took my inspiration from these beautiful pink ruffled shoes. The Layers of Color Touch of Elegance damask set was used to create the background, the sentiment was from LOC's Sent With Love, and the flowers were LOC's Floweret. All the images were stamped with Fresh Snow onto Pink Pirouette and embossed with white ep. Lace, a pearl flourish, Prima Flower, and gold cording finished it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Layers of Color Art Stamps Sent with Love, Floweret, Touch of Elegance
Paper: Pink Pirouette
Ink: PTI's Fresh Snow
Accessories: Prima Flower with brad, Lace, Gold cording, White ep, Nestabilities

I made this card for Sunday's Featured Stamper Challenge on Splitcoast to honor Charlene (Willow01). I took my inspiration from Charlene's Happy Birthday Bird card....I kept the polka dots and altered the layout just a little, changed the stamps to Kim Hughes' Paper Smooches Falling For You set, and changed the theme to a Valentine. The little monster was stamped on the My Minds Eye Bloom & Grow "Grow" Lots of Dots dp and the same paper was used for the scallop layers. The ribbon and tiny sparkly heart finish it off
Recipe:
Stamps: Paper Smooches Falling for You
Paper: Kraft, My Minds Eye dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Heart Sticker, EK success Scallop Border Punch

This is another card I made for the Featured Stamper Challenge on Splitcoast. Charlene's gallery was so wonderful I just had to case another card!!! I cased her You are Simply the Best card...I kept the same basic layout but changed the stamps to Rubbernecker's Stamp Oasis Special Delivery and sentiment stamp. I also changed the colors and theme to a Valentine. The cute little boy was colored with copics and paper pieced with stampin Up dp....the heart was hand cut. Thanks to Charlene's gallery, I finished my little boy Valentines and they were all delivered yesterday...Whoohoo!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Stamp Oasis Little Lovins Special Delivery and RN sentiment
Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Stampin up! dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Copics, Top Note
Thanks for stopping by today....I hope you have a great day!!!!!

It's a CAS Friday!!!

Hello everyone....it is going to be a rather cool morning here in Central Texas...around 14 degrees at 6AM...yikes!!! Can you believe it's supposed to be in the 60's by Saturday...this crazy Texas weather keeps us on out toes!!! Anyway...I started addressing my Grands Valentines tonight and realized I didn't have anything boyish for Ryan and Cole so I whipped out some Valentine stamps and went to work!! The cactus stamp is from a set called Wanted by Our Craft Lounge and the little pup is a Great Impressions stamp. The dp is from Bo Bunny's Crush collection and the little heart is a K&Co. sticker.....both are pretty simple and boyish enough for 10 and 7 year old boys!!
I made this birthday card set today for the Ways to Use it challenge on Splitcoast. I will give this set to a friend for her birthday which is at the end of the month. Hopefully, I will have time to make a little box to put them in this weekend. I used stamps from Rubbernecker's Birthday Borders set and colored them with copics. They are very CAS.....I may tie a ribbon around the bottom or emboss a border around the images just because they look naked to me...LOL!!!
I'm off to bed early because I have to work tomorrow....I now work one day a week simply because I don't know how to say no...sigh....
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a safe and warm Friday!!!

One More Valentine!!

I just had to make one more Valentine....I love these old fashioned diecuts from K&Co...they make the best shabby chic cards!!! The background was stamped with Layer's of Color's Brick background stamp and the little birds are from LOC's Birdday Party set. They were colored with Copics and attached with dimensionals. Sewing and distressing was done for the shabbylicious look and the wrinkled seambinding, button and twine finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Layers of Color Brick Wall and LOC's Birdday Party
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Kraft, scrap of patterned paper (sorry, I don't have a name)
Ink: Creamy Caramel, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: K&Co. Diecuts, Sewing Machine, Wrinkles Seam Binding, Bitton, Twine
This is also for Splitcoast's Ways to use it Challenge to use hearts and A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge to mak a Valentine.
This is my last card as the January Guest Designer for Layer's of Color....I had such a wonderful month playing with their FABULOUS stamps!!! Thanks Laura, Linda, and the DT for making my GDT month absolutely fantastic!!!!

Gradient Stamping and One More Valentine

Good morning...it's 12:05 AM so I guess that counts as morning...LOL!! I'm still doing some laundry and packing away Christmas decorations. I finally got everything into storage containers but a few ornaments so tomorrow we will get it all out of the house into the outside storage closet....Whoohoo!!! Then it's dust, dust, dust....yuck!!! I'd rather be stamping!!! Anyway....
I made a card for the Ways to Use it challenge on Splitcoast yesterday....the challenge was to use gradient stamping. We could use a gradient ink pad (one that contains more than one color on one pad) or make our own by combining more than one color of ink to the stamps.I used the fish, shell, and underwater background stamps from Rubbernecker and Cool Caribbean, Pear Pizzazz, and Old Olive inks. I did a little sponging on the fish so he would show up. Ribbon with gradient colors, a brad to hold it together, and sewing and distressing on the background finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Ocean Bottom, Small Queen Angel Fish, Small Scallop Shell, Small Starfish
Paper: Hawaiian Shores, Pear Pizzazz, White, Anna Griffin dp
Ink: Cool Caribbean, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive
Accessories: Ribbon, Brad, Sewing Machine

Now, you know I couldn't go a day without making a Valentine!! I had lots of Bo Bunny Crazy for Love paper left over so I used up some of the scraps. The sticker has been in my scrapping drawer for a year or two and the chipboard heart, lace, rhinestone flourish, ribbon, and felt flowers all came together for a Valentine to give a friend.
Recipe:
Paper: Bo Bunny Crazy for Love
Accessories: Sticker, K&Co. Felt Roses, Lace, Chipboard Heart, Zva Rhinestone Flourish, Regal Rose Ribbon, Martha Stewart Scalloped Punch

It is supposed to be really cold here in the morning....in the 20's!! My blood starts to gel at that temp...I'm just a whimpy Southern girl...LOL!!!!! I guess I'll just have to curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book and a box of bon bons...hope your day is full of joy!!

Moxie Fab World Trigger Valentine

This is the Moxie Fab World Tuesday trigger and I found inspiration in the colors and the pretty strings of colorful circles. I made my inspiration into a Valentine just because I am obsessed with them this week!!! I used stickers and chipboard hearts from K&Co along with Baker's Twine and a heart button. Toooo simple and just tooo fun!!!

This is a Victorian style Valentine using diecuts from K&CO along with lace, ribbon, button, twine, and a heart stick pin. Lace sponging (using lace as a stencil, sponge Fresh Snow ink over it to create the lace design in the background) was done on the kraft cardstock and the ticket is the sentiment.
I took down a few Christmas decorations yesterday and then went to my parents home to dismantle their Christmas village...Mom and Dad have the Dicken's houses and they look sooo pretty all lit up in the evening!!
Have a great Saturday and be sure to do something fun today.....call a friend, bake some cookies, cuddle a baby.....make a difference to someone special!!!!
