Creative Belli Challenge #127

Hello everyone and welcome to another Creative Belli Challenge!!! The challenge this two weeks is to use paper piecing.  Remember, the spirit of the Belli challenges is to encourage you to use your OLD and FORGOTTEN embellishments!
For my card today, I used the Rubbernecker Fashion Lady Jeanne #494-07 stamp....it was paper pieced with papers from My Minds Eye Lost and Found paper and Soft Sky was sponged on the edges while the image was still in the Nestabilities die. The skin was colored with copics, sewing was done around the background edges, a doily was added to the lower half and lace was added to the side of the image. The sentiment was from Rubbernecker's Fashion Icon's set #456  and  the seam binding, button, and twine finish it off.

Recipe: Stamps: Rubbernecker
Paper: White, Soft sky, My Minds Eye Lost and Found dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Soft Sky
Accessories: Nestabilies, Lace, Doily, Sewing Machine, Seam Binding, Twine, Button, SU Punch for sentiment

This is also for a few other challenges:
1. Die Cuttin Divas - vintage or shabby chic
2. Scrap Creations - it's a girl thing
3. Hooked on Crafts Challenge - ribbon and lace

Patchwork Birthday Wishes

Good morning everyone....hope you are all staying cool!!! It is sooo hot here that I think we could fry eggs on the sidewalk...LOL!!!! We don't have any rain in out forcast so I'm sure we will go into water rationing....I just hate to see the grass turn brown. I may have to buy some green spray paint...LOL!!! Anyway....

I made this card yesterday for the Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoast. Holly challenged us to use a patchwork on our card. I used papers from Pink Paislee's Butterfly Gardens and the Happy Birthday Square from Rubbernecker. Sewing was done around the blocks and Primas, seam binding, twine, lace, and a Spellbinder's die finish it off. This is also for the Shabby Tea Room's challenge to use pink, green and flowers.

Thanks for visiting today....hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!!!!

New Rubbah!!

Good morning everyone....I got a whole bag full of new rubber yesterday from Mr. Rubbernecker and I have been inky ever since!!! I just love the sweet little vintage girls...this one is called Shirley. She was stamped with Crumb Cake onto vanilla cardstock and lightly colored with copics. The edges of the image were sponged with Creamy Caramel and Crumb Cake while it was still in the Nesties. I used the sketch from Card Positioning Systems and papers from Pink Paislee's Butterfly Gardens. Distressing, sewing, pearls, seam binding, ball fringe, twine, and a button give it a shabby vintage look.

This is also for a few other challenges:

1. ABC challenge - V for variety - use 3 different embellishments. I used a button, pearls, and fibers.

2. A Spoon Full of Sugar - flower power

3. Divas by Design - florals
4. Crafty Hos' Challenge Blog - twine

Thanks for visiting....hope you have a very inky day!!!

Something a little Shabby

Good morning everyone...it's almost 1:00 AM and I'm wide awake!! Hope you had a wonderful New Years Day!!! Did you watch a little football and the Rose Parade?? I spent more time watching Oprah's new network...she is going to have some wonderful shows!!! I also spent some time cleaning and organizing...the last couple of weeks have really been hard on my poor old house!! Anyway....after I cleaned up my craft room, I messed it all up again creating this card......

The Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast today features the fabulous gallery of Marisa (WhiteRockMama). I chose to case her Verve Release Challenge Sketch card because of the wonderful sentiment and gorgeous colors!! I kept the same basic design with the sentiment as the main image, the butterfly, colors, and the ribbon. I added the frame, buttons, pearls, and dp. The sentiment is from Gina K's Inside and Out set and the butterfly is from Gina K's Hugs and Prayers. The paper is Prima's Annalee and the frame is from Pink Paislee. The pearls, buttons, twine, ribbon, and lace finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Gina K's Hugs and Prayers and Inside and Out
Paper: Vanilla, Melon Mambo, Prima's Annalee dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Pearl Flourish, Buttons, Twine, Artisan Element Frame, Silk Ribbon, Lace, Sewing Machine, Glitter for the Butterfly

Thanks for visiting .....after church in the morning I hope to work on some fun projects that were ignored during the busy holiday season. Have a wonderful Sunday!! Now I better get to bed before I turn into a pumpkin!!!

It's a Shabby Kinda Day!!

Hello everyone....hope your day is going according to plan!! My plan for today is to get a few things done that I have been putting off like weeding the flower beds, mop the floor, and wash the sheets...sound like fun to you???? NOT!!! I keep telling my DH that I need an assistant but he just doesn't understand...LOL!!! Anyway.....on to a much happier subject....
I did quite a bit of stamping yesterday....I actually made two cards for Julia's Ways to Use
My first card features the Color Throw Down #116 colors of Riding Hood Red, Certainly Celery, and Vanilla and Moxie Fab World's Damask challenge. Spellbinders Poinsettia dies were used along with damask flocked dp to create the layered poinsettia. The edges were distressed with Ranger Walnut and gold pearls added to the center. The framed sentiment is a sticker from Bo Bunny. The Rubbernecker Victorian Damask Panel background was stamped with Versamark onto the Certainly Celery background paper and embossed with clear ep. Prima leaves, lace and wrinkled seam binding with the brad center finishes it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Victorian Damask Panel
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Vanilla, Certainly Celery, Flocked dp
Ink: Versamark, Ranger Walnut Distress Ink
Accessories: Gold Pearls, Lace, Bo Bunny Framed Sentiment Sticker, Pearl Brad, Seam Binding, Spellbinders Poinsettia dies, Prima Leaves,

2. The Ribbon Girl - red and green
3. Delightful Challenges- Christmas

This card was also made for the WT challenge....The Pink Paislee Artisan Elements frame from Stamper's Dream was sponged with Walnut Distress ink and attached over the sentiment image from Rubbernecker's Snowflakes and Stardust set. Snowflakes from the same set were stamped off several times with Riding Hood Red before they were stamped over the sentiment. Sewing was done around the background edges and a punched snowflake with a pearl center and the wrinkled seam binding with a button and twine finish it off.
