Stamp TV's First Customer Blog Hop

Hello everyone and happy Saturday!!!! We will be going to my DGS's flag football game this morning but I wanted to get my post up first....we stampers have our priorities, ya know...LOL!!!
This is my card for Gina K's Stamp TV November Customer Blog Hop Challenge. We will be playing along via Mr. Linky on Gina's Blog.
We were to make a card with either the StampTV Holiday Cheer kit or one of the new November release stamp sets. I used Melanie Muenchinger's Festive Frame set and the dove is from Rupa Shevde's The Magic of Christmas.
The frame image was stamped on the SEI WinterSong dp with Riding Hood Red. The poinsettias in the corners were stamped 3 times on Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding dp, cutout, and layered together with dimensionals. Pearls were added to the centers and Art Institute's Gala Glitz Red was added to the leaves. The center of the frame was cutout and another piece of the Wintersong dp was attached to the back so the trees and glittery snow showed through the opening. The dove from The Magic of Christmas set was stamped on white cs with Riding Hood Red and covered with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The sentiment from Festive Frames was stamped onto a scrap piece of the glittery Wintersong dp with Riding Hood Red, punched out, and attached to the frame with dimensionals. The background red layer is the same paper as the poinsettias and the card base is Soft Sly.
Thanks for stopping by today....now head on over to Gina's Blog and check out all the challenge cards on Mr. Linky!!

Festive Frame Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Festive Frame Blog Hop!!!! Melanie Muenchinger illustrated this FABULOUS stamp set for Gina K. Designs and asked little ol me to join in the hop tonight...WOOOOT!!!

When I first saw the Festive Frame set I was blown away by how elegant it was.... I knew right away that I wanted to emboss gold on vanilla with a touch of pink. The frame was stamped with Versamark, embossed with Egyptian Gold ep, and watercolored with a pink Tombow marker. The poinsettias in both corners were stamped three times, embossed, watercolored with the pink Tombow marker , cutout, and attached with dimensionals.

Pink rhinestones were added to the poinsettia centers.
The sentiment and swirl from the same set were stamped with Versamark, embossed, cutout with an oval Nestie, colored around the edge with a Tombow marker, and attached to the center of the frame with foam tape. The shear ribbon finished it off.

Recipe: Stamps: Festive Frame
Paper: Very Vanilla, Prism Razzleberry Light
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Tombow Marker, Ribbon, Rhinestones, Oval nestability, Egyptian Gold ep, Foam Tape

The Festive Frame on this card was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa onto white cardstock. An aquapainter was used to move the color around on the images for a little color and the center of the frame was cut out. White cardstock was cut like rolling hills and run through the cuttlebug with the Dotted Swiss folder for a little texture. They were then sewn on the polka dot patterned paper and attached to the back of the frame. The corner poinsettias were stamped on the dark red patterned paper twice, cut out, and layered on the frame. White pearls were added to the centers.

The bird and snowflake stickers from SEI's Winter Song collection were added and the wood flourish and ribbon finished it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Festive Frame
Paper: White, Baja Breeze, Winter Song Patterned Paper by SEI
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa

Accessories: Stickers from SEI's Winter Song Collection, Wood Flourish by Kaiser, White Half Pearls, Ribbon, Sewing Machine

I really wanted to try a rustic design....I love kraft paper paired with dark green...soooo homey and country!!

This also shows the versatility of this set....from elegant and classy to rustic and shabby chic...the sky is the limit!!!

The Festive Frame was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with ink pads and an aqua painter. The center was then cut out and all the edges were distressed and sponged. The poinsettias were stamped three times on vanilla with Memento Rich Cocoa, sponged with Riding Hood Red, cut out, and layered with dimensionals. Red pearls were added to the centers. The frame was attached with foam tape to the Hunter Green layer which was embossed with the Dotted Swiss folder and distressed along with the kraft matting.

The twine was wound around the frame and attached underneath with a glue dot. The sentiment from the same set was stamped on vanilla, sponged with Riding Hood Red, cutout with an oval Nestability, and attached with the distressed matting with dimensionals.
Recipe: Stamps: Festive Frame
Paper: Kraft, Handsome Hunter, Vanilla, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, Summer Sun,
Accessories: Twine, Pearls, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Dimensionals

Festive Frame by Melanie Muenchinger

Hello everyone...I am soo excited tonight because Melanie Muenchinger asked me to take part in her October new stamps release for Gina K. Designs!!! Isn't her new Festive Frame gorgeous!!! I made a couple of samples for your pleasure....the first one was stamped on Night of Navy with Versamark and embossed with silver ep. The poinsettias were stamped on white dp with Versamark and embossed with silver ep three times. The flowers were all cutout, colored lightly with copics, attached with dimensionals, dusted with glitter, and silver pearls were attached to the centers. The inner oval was cutout of the Night of Navy frame. The sentiment from the same set was stamped on a piece of light blue dp with Night of Navy. It was attached to a piece of Bashful Blue cs that extended beyond the frame layer. Then the frame was attached to the background layer with foam tape. Silk May Arts ribbon was tied around the side of the elevated top layer and little silver pearls finishes it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Festive Frame
Paper: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Nikki Sivil'd North Pole Nights dp
Ink: Versamark, Night of Navy
Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder, Silver Pearls, May Arts Ribbon, Glitter

I wanted to create a little drama with this card. The Festive Frame was stamped with Versamark onto watercolor paper and embossed with gold ep. The poinsettias were colored with Tombow markers and red rhinestones were attached to the centers. The sentiment from the same set was stamped with Riding Hood Red onto white cs and layered on the black Nestabilities layer. The gold shimmery ribbon and more red rhinestones finish it off.

Good morning everyone....it's still morning here anyway for at least 30 minutes!!! I am moving kinda slow today...we had our big November Birthday party yesterday and it pooped out this old Grandma!! We had lots of games, presents, and good stuff to eat!!! I will upload some pictures later today!! Anyway..............

The Try a New Technique challenge on Splitcoast today was to make a Christmas Tree box. Lynn provided us with a template designed by Brenda Quintana a/k/a Qbee that you can print off on the computer. Such a quick and easy little project!! I printed my template off on a piece of Paper Studio dp, cut it out, and put it together according to the tutorial. I added the Prima Poinsettias and a greeting from the Say it With Flowers stamp set designed by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K. Designs to finish it off.

Recipe: Stamps: Say it With Flowers
Papers: White, Real Red, Paper Studio dp
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Primas, Brad, Ribbon

I also completed my circle medallian project from last weeks Try a new Technique challenge. I can't believe it took me a week to get it finished!!! This is the link to Becca's blog for the medallian tutorial. The poinsettia from the A Year of Flowers stamp set designed by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K Designs was colored with Twinkling H2O's, cut out, and attached with dimensionals. Tiny pearls were added to the center of the flower and larger ones were added around the outside of the medallian. When I took the guard off the Wrought Iron Corner punch it broke in two!! (I guess it is now a permenant medallian punch)!! All the medallian layers were cut out with Nestabilities. The sentiment from the Clear Dollar Stamps set called Holly Builder was stamped with Memento Black and the layers were cut out with Nestabilities. I used the Holly Cuttlebug folder on the Hunter Green background....you can barely see it on the right side. Be sure to give the medallian project a try....it looks soooo pretty!!

Recipe: Stamps: A Year of Flowers, Holly Builder
Paper: Vanilla, Pixie Pink, Baja Breeze, Hunter Green, Soft Sky, SU DP
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Twinkling H2O's, Pearls, Nestabilities, Wrought Iron Corner Punch, Ribbon, Cuttlebug

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you have a wonderful week!!!

Images from Melanie Muenchinger

A week ago or so Melanie Muenchinger, Illustrator and Senior Design Team Member for Gina K. Designs, sent me some stamped images from her new stamp set, A Year of Flowers. The flower images are sooo gorgeous and wonderful to color!! I used Twinkling H2O's......really wanted to add a little sparkle but was afraid it would hide the the intensity of the color. The designer paper is from Webster's Pages called Your Life. Beautiful. I wanted a shabby chic vintage look so I sewed around the dp and distressed the paper and added the ribbon. I still have some images left so I will make another card when I return from San Antonio. Tursday I am going to the San Antonio Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Expo with Sherry Cheever (BadSherry), Bev Gerard (TexasGrammy), and the crew from Rubbernecker Stamps to work in their booth at the Expo. I am sooo excited.....y'all need to come to San Antonio so we can meet in person!!!

Melanie also sent this darling card...how cute is this!!!!!! I just love the little sewing machine and all the buttons...the faux stitching is wonderful, too, and I love how she did the sentiment!! Thanks sooo much, Melanie....it will go in a place of honor on my desk!!!

Now didn't I tell ya I would have something special today...I am a woman of my word (well, most of the time, anyway!!) Thanks for
visiting and I will have an update on the craft room project later today!!
