Pease and Joy

Good morning everyone!! Hope you are all well and happy on this wonderful Saturday morning!! I am going to a church breakfast in a couple of hours....don't know if I can hold off eating till then. I might have to nibble a little cause my stomach is growling already!! It's not used to being abused in the morning...LOL!! Hopefully, I can get my Christmas tree decorated this afternoon and then start wrapping gifts....I can't believe I am ahead of the game this year...Whoohoo!!! Last year I was still buying gifts and wrapping on Christmas Eve....yikes! Anyway... I made this card a couple of days ago...the adorable little Penny Black bird image was colored with copics and mounted on two different mediallion diecuts. The paper is from October Afternoon and Stampin Up!. The sentiment is from Flourishes Christmas Classics set and the Spellbinders diecut snowflake and button with twine finish it off. ...pretty simple but fun to make!!

I made this Christmas card for a few challenges:
1. Bling it On - Christmas
2. Forever Friends Challenge - It's all Christmas
5. Raise the Bar - Christmas

Thanks for visiting...have a great Saturday!!

Hello everyone!! Hope all is going well with you today!! Welcome to another Creative Belli Challenge!! The challenge for this two weeks is a Christmas inspiration challenge. Our inspiration piece is this beautiful Christmas china that belongs to our design team member, Karen Wallace. Thank you Karen for providing us with such lovely inspiration to create our cards and projects.
The spirit of the Belli challenges is to encourage you to use your OLD and FORGOTTEN embellishments!

For my card, I colored the wreath image from Flourishes Christmas Wreath set with copics and the sentiment is from Flourishes christmas classics set. The wood bird from KaiserCraft, seam binding, pearl brad, and the punched corners finish it off. Yeaaaaa, another Christmas card for my stash!!!

Featured Stamper #91 and The Double Dare Challenge

Good Sunday Morning everyone!!! The Featured Stamper on Splitcoast today is Becca (Becca Stamps). Oh, my word, what a fabulous gallery!!! Everything is sooo elegant and beautiful!!! Two cards really caught my eye...one is this gorgeous poinsettia card and the other one is this beautiful welcome baby card. I was inspired by the layout and theme of one and the colors of the other. Thanks, Beth, for another fabulous gallery to be inspired by!!
The Rubbernecker star was stamped twice with Baja Breeze and Versamark and embossed with clear ep. Both stars were cut out, however, one was trimmed on the inside of the design and mounted over the full image with dimensionals. The background SU dp was stamped with the Rubbernecker holly stamp using Versamark and Baja Breeze and then embossed with white ep. The paper was layered over vanilla and Baja Breeze cardstock and the corners were punched with the Ticket Corner punch. Finally, the shear ribbon and half pearls from Flourishes, LLC were added.
This is also for the Double Dare Challenge I do each week with a group of SCS friends. The challenge hostess this week, Joanne (Sleepyinseattle), challenged us to make a blue Christmas card. Extra points are awarded for using non-Christmas paper. I hope Baja Breeze is blue enough and the SU dp is not a Christmas paper so I think I pass!!! You can see all the other DDC cards here.
Recipe: Stamps: Rubbernecker
Paper: Baja Breeze, Vanilla, SU dp
Ink: Baja Breeze, Versamark
Accessories: Clear ep, White ep, Dimensionals, Pearls, Ribbon, Ticket Corner Punch
Have a great day and thanks for visiting!!

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks Day 3

This is day 3 of the Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks and today I will be showcasing the Holly Builder set. This set consists of leaves, berries, a branch, three sentiments, and will be available on November 1.
The holly leaves were stamped in a circle on Whisper White with Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, and Always Artichoke. Several leaves were stamped with the same colors, cutout, and attached with glue dots. Some were highlighted with a Real Red marker. The berries were stamped with Real Red, covered with Crystal Efeects, dusted with Dazzling Diamonds, cutout, and attached with glue dots. The sentiment was stamped in the center with Real Red, the ribbon was attached with a glue dot, and the rhinestones added to the corners.

Recipe: Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Holly Builder
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive, Stampin Up! dp, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, Real Red, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Rhinestones, Ribbon, Corner Punch, Dimensionals, Dazzling Diamonds, Crystal Effects

The topnote was trimmed along the perforated edge and then it was used as a pattern to cut the under layer. It wasn't cut very perfect so don't look too close!! The sentiment was stamped with Ruby Red craft and embossed with clear ep. The sentiment layers were cutout with Nestabilities and attached to the topnote layer with dimensionals. The holly leaves were stamped with Old Olive, the berries were stamped with Ruby Red and they all were attached with glue dots. The ribbon and tiny pearls in the corners from Flourishes, LLC finish it off.

WT 189 and Belli Challenge #39 and some BIG news!!!

I had time to make another card for today's challenge on Splitcoast and the Belli Challenge #39 to use pearls...gotta love those days full of stamping!! I wanted to use the Wassail paper from Basic Grey, so out came the Christmas Poinsettias stamps designed by Chris Dickinson for Sweet and Sassy Stamps. The wreath and ribbon were stamped twice with Riding Hood Red and Versamark onto Whisper White cs and embossed with clear ep. All the images were colored with ink pads and an aqua pen, the flower parts of one image and one of the bows were cutout and attached over the other images with dimensionals. The pearls were added for the Belli challenge on Chrissy's (chrissyd723) blog, the beautiful gold ribbon was from the Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts, the pearls were from Flourishes, LLCand the sentiment stamp was from the Fanciful Flakes stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps.
BTW, I was asked by Chris Dickinson to be on the Belli Challenge Team...Whoooohoo!!!!!! Chris hosts a challenge each week on her blog to use embellishments that have been sitting around unused and unloved. Thanks, Chrissy, I am soo excited. She has a great team of designers and I think one of them is super special because she is my daughter, Holly Brown (hbrown). How cool is that!!!!!
Thanks for visiting and have a great night!!!

WT 189 and Belli Challenge #39

Today's WT challenge on Splitcoast was to use a one work sentiment. This is also for the Belli challenge found on Chrissy's (chrissyd723) blog to use pearls on the card.
I have had this Stampendous stamp for quite a while and it sure did need to be inked up!!! The pearls were from Flourishes, LLC. The Lockhart Angel from Ellen Hutson, LLC was stamped with Memento Black and colored with copics. The wings were colored pink to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, then covered with Dazzling Diamonds. Both layers were attached with dimensionals. I bought the glitter paper at my local scrapbooking store, however, there is no name on the back. I cut around the edge of the design, and then traced around a piece of Kiwi Kiss for matting. I was going to cut the TT layer, too, but thought that would make it too busy. I may do it later today just to see if I like it. Anyway, gotta go hop in the shower....I got some new Basic Grey Wassail paper yesterday so I will be playing with that after lunch!! Have a great day and come again!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Lockhart, Stampendous
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Kiwi Kiss, White, glitter dp
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Copics, Dimensionals, Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Pearls

Belli Challenge #34

The Belli challenge on Chrissy's (chrissyd723) blog this week was to use squares on your card. I used several square layers on this card!! Isn't this little Lockhart witch just the cutest!! I bought her from Ellen Hutson, LLC . She was stamped with Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. The background was sponged with a little Pumpkin Pie ink. The image was layered on Doodlebug's Orange Sugared cardstock and Green Galore. The black background paper is from Memory Box, also bought from Ellen Hutson's Store, and the black half pearls came from Flourishes, LLC. I stamped the inside of the card with the moon and stars stamp from the retired Halloween Backgrounds set by Stampin Up! Thanks, Chrissy for a great challenge!!

I hope you aren't sick of Halloween or Fall cards yet because I have six or seven more cut out and ready to put together. Stay tuned!!
