Yummy Round Flowers.....

Good morning everyone.....hope you are having a great Sunday morning!! I have three cards to share that I made this week for different challenges. The first one (yummy) is for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #148 and  their card drive for the patients at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. We were to use pink on our cards so I used some pink patterned paper from the Cookbookin Scrapbook Kit called Mom's Diner. The little apron from Taylor's What's Cookin set was paper pieced and the pie and cup are stickers from the same scrapbook kit. The sentiment is also from the What's Cookin set and the ribbons and candy dots finish it off.

Lots of Layers

Good morning everyone....it's almost 5:00 AM and the Royal Wedding is going on....I just saw the bride roll by and now she is getting out in front of the church...she looks gorgeous...Whoohoo!!!! This is the stuff fairytales are made of, for sure!!! I stayed up till after midnight to make this card for the Free 4 all challenge on Splitcoast but thought I should get to bed so I could get back up at 4:00 AM to watch the wedding...crazy, I know!!! Anyway....

The F4A challenge was to use layers...lots of layers which isn't hard for me to do!!! I have three layers of Nesties on a couple layers of designer paper and then layered the leaves and flower over that...this card will need a special hand made envelope because it's pretty thick!! The Layers of Color Merci Bouquet flower image was colored with Copics, the flower is from a SU die, the corrogated butterfly is from Jellibean, and the leaves are made from a Spellbinders Foliage die.
Recipe: Stamp: LOC Merce Bouquet, Paper: White, Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown, Baja Breeze, October Afternoon Fly a Kite dp, Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Accessories: Ribbon, Nestabilities, MFT Ric Rac die, Nestibilities, Spellbinders Foliage die, Stampin Up! flower die, Jellibean Corrogated butterfly, Pearls, Twine, Button

The wedding is over now so I can go back to bed...LOL!!! Thanks for dropping by and have a great Friday!!!

Double the Challenge Pleasure

Good Saturday morning, everyone!! I have a couple of challenge cards to show you today.....I made this one yesterday for the Free 4 All challenge on Splitcoast to make something warm and fuzzy. I used the soft kraft and brown tones for the warm and the Flower Soft on the K&Co. diecut butterfly wings as the fuzzy. The PTI Turning a New Leaf leaves in the background were stamped with Sage Shadow and the sentiment is from Crafty Secrets Couple of Cuties set. The lace and silk ribbon finish it off.

Stamps: Papertrey Ink's Turning a New Leaf, sentiment from Crafty Secrets Couple of Cuties
Paper: Kraft
Ink: Sage Shadow, Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: K&Co. Butterfly Diecut, Lace, Silk Ribbon, Flower Soft

I made this card Monday for Holly's Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoast...we were to make a card using faux tiles that used Crystal Effects. UTEE, Glossy Glaze, or even Embossing.
Holly linked us up to a great tutorial showing the technique...check it out here.
After ruining my first tiles with Crystal Effects, I decided to emboss the second set. The Magnolia image from Rubbernecker was colored with copics, cut, and embossed. Next time I think I'll emboss the picture first before I cut it up....I kept loosing the little tiles...LOL!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Magnolia
Paper: Baraly Banana, Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown, White, SU dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Spellbinders die, Clear ep, Copics, Wrinkled Seam Binding, Button, Twine, Pearls
Thanks for visiting this morning...now I have to get ready for a funeral. One of my church friends passed away Thursday. Joanne was a wonderful Christian lady who will be missed by her family and many friends.

Buttons and Lots of Bows!!

Good morning evryone....what a wonderful day!!! It's 10:00 AM here in Central Texas and I am still in my pjs!! I was going to go outside and plant some flowers but after checking out the Free 4 All challenge on Splitcoast, I just had to make a card!! I ordered some stamps from Sprinkle N Sparkle a month ago and this is the second one I have inked up. Her name is Jasmine...I paper pieced her with papers from Basic Grey's Cappella. Her skin and the flower were colored with copics. I also used the sketch from Mojo Monday week 139. The button is an old one from my mother's button box and I used silver cording for the bow.
Sponging was done with Soft Sky around the image while the paper was still in the Nesties die...I just love Art Deco and this Nesties shape was perfect for that style!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Jasmine fron Sprinkle N Sparkle
Paper: Vanilla, White, Basic Grey's Cappella
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Balck, Soft Sky
Accessories: Copics, Silver Cording, Old Button, Nestabilities, Top Note die, Foam Tape, Dimensionals, Ribbon

This is the card I made for Wednesday's Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast. I got a box full of goodies in the mail the other day so I used a few of them to make this vintage design. The paper is from Websters Pages...I sewed and distressed the edges and added the birthday sentimet tag from Clear Dollar Stamps Tag Blessings set. May Arts silk ribbon, a rhinestone flourish, and the Primas finish it off.

Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge this week is all about Seth....a single sailor who needs help finding his way. You see he is facing 42,000 waves from a big storm and his ship is taking on water!! Yikes!!Larry the Lighthouse keeper and Sirius, his trusty Newfoundland dog stand ready to help Seth if he shipwrecks. We can help by sailing our ships over to Seth and throwing him some life preservers, or if you tend to get seasick, head on over to the lighthouse, and bring dry clothes (you know what it's like to walk in soggy shoes??), or food, or tea (or brandy)...you know anything Seth could use. I am late to the party cause I only have this old row boat to help but I'm on my way...hang on Seth!!!! We were also supposed to add a little encouragement for Seth so I added a sentiment from Cornish Heritage Farms Encouragement Expressions. The seaside image by Impression Obsession from Stamper's Dream was colored with copics. The sky was brayered with Ranger Distress Ink Wild Honey and the frame was made from 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market dp and oval Nestabilities. The May Arts silk ribbon finishes it off.

Stamps: Impression Obsession, Cornish Heritage Farms
Paper: Black, White, Prism sunflowers Dark, 7 Gypies Gypsy Market

Bicycle, Geisha, and a Fashion Lady

This is the card I made Saturday for the Inspiration challenge on Splitcoast. Stef chose an awesome store called Green Rainbow and I chose the fun bicycle belt buckle as my inspiration.. Since I was really behind on my challenges, I combined this with the QFTD06 challenge to honor Cathleen (ctorina) as Queen for the day. Every single card in her gallery is sooo fabulous and elegant....WOW!!! I decided to case her IC222 Thank You card because it's sooo gorgeous!!! I kept the same basic layout and one of the colors but changed the stamps, papers, and moved the image layers up a little because my Nesties layers were just a little bigger. This is also for da Mudder's Teapot Tuesday Challenge ...all the teapotters went to the Kentucky Derby!!! I am sooo late because my car broke down so I borrowed the bike and I'm only 10 miles away...I'm coming Mudder!!!!! Save me some goodies...think I'll need something just a little stronger than tea when I get there!!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink's Everyday Button Bits
Paper: White, Basic Grey's Wisteria
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Buttons, Floss, Gold Pearls, Nestabilities, Spellbinders Dies, Ribbon, Dimensionals

The F4A9 Challenge on Splitcoast was to take a virtual vacation. I went to Japan several years ago and really want to go again. I colored the Rubbernecker Geisha image with Tombow markers, cut it out and attached it with dimensionals. Scallops, silk ribbon, flowers, and black half pearls finish it off.

Stamps: Rubbernecker Woman With Fan in Circle
Paper: Real Red, Black, White, DCWV's Far East Mat Stack
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Tombow Markers, Clear ep, May Arts Silk Ribbon, Flowers, Half Pearls, Dimensionals, Martha Stewart Scallop Punch
The Ways to Use it Challenge Thursday on Splitcoast was to mix up patterns....use some fun prints! I used three different papers from Basic Grey's Kioshi collection. The dress and hat on the Rubbernecker Fashion Lady were paper pieced and some of the shaded areas on the dress and hat were colored with copics and well as the skin and shoes. The solid piece at the bottom was run through the cuttlebug with a diamond patterned folder and the pearls, lace, twill, button and ribbon finish it off.

Paper: White, Black, Basic Grey's Kioshi
