Color Throwdown Challenge #381

Hello everyone!! We have been having such beautiful weather...I planted some Pansies and cleaned out some flower beds this week. We had a little rain last night and expect some more tomorrow with temps down in the 40's...I guess our warm weather was just a tease!! Anyway...since spring is on hold outside, I decided to create some spring flowers on the inside!! This week's Color Throwdown Challenge hostess is Wanda and she has picked some soft, pretty colors for us to play with: pale green, pink, and kraft.

The Taylored Expressions Scribble Flowers dies were used to cut the flowers and stems out of Cupcake, Toffee, and Mint Julep cardstock. They were adhered to the background watercolor paper that was watercolored with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

The sentiment was created with the Think Happy Thoughts Stamp and Die Combo and a little sewing was done under the flowers....the TE Sequins - Hello Happiness finish it off.

Remember, be sure to add CTD381 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!! Also, please use #381 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

Color Throwdown Challenge #380

Hello everyone!! It's Wednesday again and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge!! Where has the week gone, anyway?? The days are going by so fast that my head is spinning!!! We watched our two youngest grandsons last Saturday so their mom and dad could go to a movie.....we took the boys to CC's Pizza for supper. We watched the two youngest granddaughters today and guess where they wanted to go eat...you got it...CC's Pizza!! I am so sick of pizza and sooo ready for a salad...LOL!!! Anyway...

Vickie is our hostess this week and don't you just love the warm color combo she picked: gray, red, and white. I need an anniversary card for next week and these colors work perfectly!!

My card features stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions.  The hearts were cut with the Stitched Heart Stacklets dies and popped up over the hand cut banners that were cut from Doodlebug's Lovebugs 6x6 paper pad.

The gray background was also cut from the Lovebugs paper with the largest Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. The happy diecut sentiment was cut out of Sugar Cube cardstock  with the die from the Think Happy Thoughts Stamp and Die set. The arrow was cut out of Earl Grey cardstock with the Follow Your Arrow Die and the sentiment from the Perfect Pairs Burger & Fries stamp set was embossed on Earl Grey cardstock. The enamel dots, hearts, and sewing finish it off.

Remember, be sure to add CTD380 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!! Also, please use #380 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

Color Throwdown Challenge #379

Hello everyone!! I sure hope your week was wonderful!! We have been busy with soccer and basketball games...Ryan only has one more game on Friday so our basketball season will be over but Mackenzie's soccer games continue for several more weeks. Then track season starts and more band and choir concerts till June when our second granddaughter graduates from high school...it won't be long before all the grands are on to college, marriage, and babies...yikes!!! I think I just aged about 10 years...LOL!!! Anyway....

It's Wednesday again and time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!! Lynn is our hostess and she picked a color combo perfect for Valentines: pink, purple, gold, and hot pink.

My card features several Taylored Expressions dies. The Skinny Mini Valentine Border was cut out of Sugar Cube cardstock and adhered to the watercolored background. The tag was cut out of Lollipop cardstock with the
Build a Tag 2 die and the words were cut out of gold tissue paper with the Pockets & Pages February Script dies. The Love Always Wins Stamp and Die combo die was used to cut out the X's, O, and the little heart from Plum Punch cardstock and the smallest Stitched Banner Die was used to cut out the patterned paper banners.

The large heart was cutout of a watercolored paper scrap with the Stitched Heart Stacklet and the pink heart was cut out of Strawberry Milkshake cardstock with the Peek-a-Boo Heart die. The hop pink enamel heart and the gold twine fnish it off.
