Happy Anniversary

Morning all you Oldies and Goodies (won't say who falls into which category - I'll let you figure that one out yourselves), but what I will say is that there were a lot of goodies in my Hat challenge last time around and I must thank you all for your super entries.

Today it's the turn of Fran to set the latest challenge over at an Oldie But a Goodie - and she has chosen the theme of,
Anniversary
(Remember also to use an item of over 6 months on your project and to tell us what it is.)

In my case it was the cat stamp, made by Stampelkallan - which funnily enough I won over here at an OBAG before I was on the DT.  It's also a great theme for me this week as my 26th Wedding Anniversary is tomorrow.

My card also uses more lovely Bo Bunny papers - this time The Avenues Collection and is finished off with die cut hearts.

It's also a handy card for me to have as it's our 26th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow - but I can't decide whether to send this cat card or my tic-tac-toe card from last week...which do I pick?

Challenges;
As You Like It - Feather or Fur - Fur obviously - Merlot cat would look daft covered in feathers!
Chocolate Coffee & Cards - Circles & Squares
Cute Card Thurs - Paw Pals
PB@ Allsorts - Anything Goes
Crafting for All Seasons - Lots of Layers
SSW2 - sketch

Finally, I just thought I'd let you know that I've added a link to my Just Giving Page for the Race For Life, supporting the charity Cancer Research UK.  I have to admit, neither training nor fundraising have gone particularly well this year.  I've only raised £20 from an unknown sponsor and I still can't run the distance - so unfit!  Further to that, the race has been brought forward by a week as it clashed with the Commonwealth torch relay, so now things are serious.

The six week training plan starts today...and MUST be followed!  Progress reports will now appear weekly and once Colin finishes his exams I'll get him to help me personalise my Just Giving Page - can't do that either!!! Jx

One For The Guys

This week over at Moving Along With The Times, Carole has chosen

One For The Guys

as the theme, and we are lucky enough to be sponsored by Jo Channing.  Details of the prize are on the MAWTT blog page.

For my card, I used a Stampelkallan stamp and some Basic Grey Papers, Little Black Dress ( - Not very masculine sounding but they were just the ticket!), kraft and lots of layers!  I'm actually really pleased with how this one turned out, with the paper pieced shirt then the decoupaged tie to finish!

Now check out the rest of the DT's cards before joining us on our current challenge.

Challenges;
Basic Grey - Masculine - Little Black Dress papers
Artistic Inspirations - Lots of Layers
Kaboodle Doodles - Brown or Tan
Crafting For All Seasons - Monochromatic - Brown

Shirty

I won this stamp last year from an Oldie But Goodie challenge sponsored by Stampelkallan & as I'm on a mission to use old stamps before I buy more, I dug it out & put it to work. Confession though... I couldn't pass by the craft shop in Elgin without making a stamp purchase or two so I've broken my resolution not to buy more rubber stamps, but at least it lasted till April!

Now the initial plan for this card was to paper piece the shirt - until I couldn't find the paper pack that the stripy paper came from, so I can't tell you a make or make my card to plan. Never mind, good old Promarkers came to the rescue!

Challenges;
Crafty Emma's Store - No Girls Allowed Jx

Flower Power

This is a very exciting post for me, as it's my first as part of a design team! I'm so pleased the lovely ladies over at Oldie But A Goodie asked me to join their merry little band - didn't take long to accept the invitation I can tell you!

Thank you so much you guys, for inviting me into your team. I'm really looking forward to working with you all in the coming weeks & getting to know you all better.

Anyway, the current challenge was set by Lisa, it's;
Buttons & Bows
and it's sponsored by Stampelkallan.

As luck would have it, I actually have some Stampelkallan stamps, so decided to use one on my card this time. All the stamps are available from the Stampelkallan site - this one was coded "Design Annike." I've coloured it with Promarkers & combined it with old Papermania Paper & an LOTV stamp.

To add a bit of dimension to my card, I double stamped the flower and raised the flower heads on foam pads.

Actually, these flowers really remind me of ones currently flowering in our garden - haven't a clue what they're called, but they do bring a lovely splash of colour. Jx
