MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #404

I'm sharing with this week's MFT sketch challenge .  As you noticed, my sentiment "wandered" a little further down the card.  That's what happens when you don't have the sketch open in front of you!   My card features a retired MFT set called "the Front Porch - Fall".  I love this set for Thanksgiving cards.  It's so detailed!  I used my Misti to stamp with Versafine ink then colored highlights with Tombow markers.  Designer papers are from Basic Grey Wisteria paper pad. Thanks for stopping by!  I'm also sharing with the following: MFT Wednesday Sketch:  Challenge #404 Simon Says Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes     Word Art Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes #354 - 355 Aud Sentiment Challenge: #213 Use a Two Word Sentiment   Little Red Wagon Challenge:  #465 Falling Leaves

The Sweet Stop Sketch #212

It's finally Saturday and time for another fabulous sketch from The Sweet Stop !  I have to tell you a secret.... Sketch Challenges are my all time favorite.  Here's what I came up with using this week's sketch and a Sweet 'n Sassy clear stamp set called " Nature Silhouettes 2 ".  The set also have a matching die that you can view HERE .  The main panel was sponged with various Memento inks then the silhouette image stamped with Versafine Tuxedo Black ink.  The border die was cut with Spellbinder Inverted Scalloped Circles.  The sentment is from Sweet 'n Sassy's Precious Poppies clear stamp set.  The sentiment is actually on two lines, but I used a Tombow marker to ink the words individually to accommodate my thin panel.  The finished card is 4.25 square which seems to be my favorite size to work with right now. Here's a peek at this week's sketch: Just a few things to keep in mind as you play.... -You do NOT ...

Friends with Flair Friday

It's Friday and that means another Friends with Flair linky party.  I decided to step WAY out of my comfort zone this week and try a mixed media project.  I recently bought "Our House.... Serve the Lord" during one of the fabulous Itty Bitty sales.  I decided it would be perfect for this project. Here's what I came up with: I was inspired by the recent Mix-Ability challenge posted by Dina Kowal on Splitcoast Stamper.   She provide a great video that helped me get started.  You can watch her video HERE .   I started with various acrylic paints and used plastic wrap over the wet pain for some texture.  I applied versafine ink to drywall tape and stamped in the corners.  I also applied acrylic paint to bubble packing and stamped in the opposite corners.  Finally, I brushed on a light coat of white acrylic paint then stamped the image with Versafine black ink.  My pop of color is a red heart brad. Thanks for stopping by for a ...
