Penny Black Saturday Challenge - On The Farm

The current Penny Black Saturday Challenge is On The Farm .  This is an older (2006) wood mount stamp from my stash called Spinning A Yarn.  The image was stamped onto water color paper and colored with Tombow markers.  It was layered onto a variety of designer papers from the Carta Bella Farm to Table paper pad.  A few enamel dots finish the card. I used baker's twine for the ball of yarn with this image a few years ago.  You can see it HERE . I'm sharing my card with the following: Penny Black Saturday Challenge - On The Farm Woodblock Wednesday Challenge:  March Anything Goes PIP Challenge:  #2512 Anything Goes Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends:  #250 Anything Goes    Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Anything Goes

Penny Black Saturday Challenge- June Fancy or Fussy

I'm joining the current "Fancy or Fussy" challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge with this busy group of chicks.  This stamp from Penny Black called Spinning a Yarn makes me smile every time I use it!  It seems that I have been enjoying chicken images lately as well.  The image was colored with Tombow markers and die cut.  It was layered onto designer papers from BoBunny Celebrating Freedom paper pad and Doodlebug mat sprinkles.  I also added baker's twine for a ball of yarn.  Fun! CPS Anniversary Celebration Day 7

Day 7 of the CPS 5th Anniversary celebration is hosted by Jen Buck. Here is the sketch that Jen chose: Here is my take on the sketch using Penny Black's stamp "Spinning a Yarn": When I saw this sketch I immediately knew that I wanted to use this silly stamp with the chickens sitting in a row with their feet dangling onto the chicken wire panel. I saw this stamp used on Splitcoast Stampers website about a year ago. I ordered it right away for my aunt who had a chicken farm AND knits! How perfect! The image was stamped on Stampin' Up Very Vanilla and colored with Copic Markers. I added baker's twine for the "yarn" and a paper flower with a Stampin' Up! vintage brad center. The designer paper is from a stash of Daisy D's. I used a retired background stamp called "Chicken Wire" from Stampin' Up for the bottom panel. The finished card size is 5.5 x 5.75. Thanks for taking a look!
