Stampin' In Alaska

  I'm joining the current Art Impressions Challenge - Feeling Blue.  We are using the color blue on our project.  What a better way to use various blues that a water scene!   My card features the Art Impressions Submarine Cubbies set.  This set includes several water creatures, a submarine, sentiments and coordinating die cuts. I used several inky techniques on this card.  I started by ink blending the cloudy sky with a cloud die template and Stormy Sky distress ink.  The various water critters were ink smooshed using Stormy Sky and Blue Print distress inks.  I pulled a Gelli Print from my stash for the "water" panel.  Of course, the submarine was stamped onto gray card stock and die cut then cropped to peek onto the panel.  I finished with a sentiment from My Favorite Things.   I'm joining the current challenge at Art Impressions with the adorable Submarine Cubbies set.  The current challenge is to create both the inside and front of your card.   For ease of photographing, I did not mount the inside of my card immediately.  The left image is the card itself (front) and the right image is the inside panel. My card front started with a MFT sunray stencil and blue cardstock from Stampin' Up!  The submarine and ocean critters were die cut, colored and layered onto the stenciled panel.  A fun ocean floor scene from Impression Obsession was stamped on the bottom edge.  A wave stencil from MFT was used on the inside panel.  A couple of ocean critters from the Submarine Cubbies set were combined with seaweed, silhouette fish and rock from MFT to create the inside scene.   I'm joining the current Art Impressions Challenge with a shaped rocker card.  My card features the adorable Submarine Cubbies set.  This set comes with both stamps and matching dies.   I started by stamping the submarine onto grey cardstock then die cutting.  All of the sea critters in the set were stamped onto water color paper, colored with Tombow markers then die cut.  I managed to include all of the sea critters (save one fish) on my card.  The rocker piece was made with a 5 inch circle die from Pink and main.  Designer paper and wave dies from MFT were added then the submarine was attached with all of the fun sea creatures.  Stickles was added to the waves for dimension.
