Stampin' In Alaska

  I'm having so much fun as Guest Designer for Art Impressions this month!  Today I'm sharing a clean and simple design featuring Art Impressions 4931 - Road Trip Set .   I began this card by ink blending with Tim Holtz Distress inks - Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch.  Two of the buildings from the set were stamped with Versamark ink and wet embossed with white embossing powder. The group of lady travelers were stamped, colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut then adhered with dimension tape.  The finished panel was layered onto Stampin' Up! Night of Navy card stock.  A few enamel dots and coordinating sentiment finish the card.   I'm joining the Wheelie Awesome challenge at Art Impressions with a fun Clean and Simple birthday card. My card features Road Trip 4931 and Enjoy the Ride 5186 from Art Impressions.  The small car was stamped onto water color paper and colored with Tombow Markers.  I drew the road lines then added the sentiment from Enjoy the Ride set. This will go into my birthday stash for our church card ministry. The current AI challenge is Rustic Roundup -  I hope my interpretation works with the Americana theme.   My sister's family went on a road trip for the July 4th weekend.  They returned home on Route 66 and stopped along the way to see the sites.  I thought to myself  "That's Americana!"  I hope to enjoy to that road trip some day myself. I created a little roadside scene using the AI Road Trip set .  I colored and fussy cut the car.  The sky was sponged with Memento ink and a cloud die mask.  The "road" is a black strip with white Uni Posca pen. I took a big step out of my comfort zone this week with this little water color scene. BUT it was what I envisioned and so I've followed through.  Isn't that what crafting is all about?  Playing, creating, stretching our creative muscle! I am a using a new set from Art Impressions called Road Trip Set . The scene was water colored with Tim Holtz Distress inks.  The car image was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  Finished card size is 4.25 square.
