Unity Stamps - Farm Scene

I'm sharing a masculine farm scene card featuring Unity Stamp Company's June 2023 Monthly Kit.  The image was stamped onto water color paper and water colored with Altenew half pan colors.  Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles Large die cut was used for both the image and black mat. The base panel is a Gelli Print from my stash.  I used Sweet 'n Sassy's chicken wire stencil over the gelli print.  A few enamel dots finish the card. Cow Birthday

This fun cow image recently popped up in my FB feed.  It is part of a set by CraftEmotions called Funny Animals 2 .  I found mine at Frantic Stampers.   This will be mailed to my younger brother for his birthday later this week! The cow image was stamped onto X-Press It card stock and colored with Copic Markers then fussy cut.  The base panel is a Gelli Plate print from my stash.  I used the Chicken Wire Stencil from Sweet 'n Sassy over the gelli print. The panel was layered onto black card stock and the sentiment was added from the same set.  I really like how this turns out.  I think my brother will enjoy the goofy cow! Beccy's Place July Challenge

I'm joining the July challenge at Beccy's Place featuring the adorable Funny Farm digital set .  Beccy's challenges are always Anything Goes with a fun optional twist and free digital image. I was among the lucky June challenge winners and chose Funny Farm as one of my sets.  These critters make me smile!  I chose to use the pre-colored version for my card.  I also came across a gelli print in my stash that worked for the challenge colors.  It was certainly meant to be! A retired Stampin' Up! chicken wire background stamp was used on the gelli print.  The birthday sentiment comes from the same set and has been layered over a pennant die from Verve Stamps.  I finished with a few enamel dots. Gerda Steiner and AAA Cards CAS #168 One Corner + Optional Masking

Have you seen the new Chicken Scratch clear set from Gerda Steiner?  Adorable!  I love all farm animals and this set was a must.  I have combined the chicken and sentiment with a retired chicken wire background from Stampin' Up! I first stamped the chicken then masked the image.  The chicken wire stamp was applied over the mask with Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink.  The chicken was colored with both Tombow and Copic Markers.   A fun clean and simple design (with the optional twist) for the current AAA Cards challenge. Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #513

I'm joining a few challenges tonight with this "barnyard" themed card.  I pulled out a few Stampin' Up! sets to play along - Home to Roost, Heartland and Retired Chicken Wire background. My card design was inspired by the current Mojo Monday sketch courtesy of Julee Tilman.  This sketch has so many possibilities!   The rooster was stamped onto Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils. The barn and chicken wire images were stamped with Memento ink.  The designer paper is from MME Traveler paper pad. Art Impressions Challenge #131 - "Take A Peek"

I needed a birthday card this week and decided on something humorous.  I was the lucky winner over on the Art Impressions Challenge a couple of weeks ago. This image and sentiment were among my prize goodies! This week's Art Impressions Challenge is "Take a Peek" creating a window card or some style to see inside the card. I used two stamps from the AI Bird-Brains collection the adorable " Birdie " and " Laying an egg... " The card base was stamped with a chicken wire  background stamp from Stampin' Up!  The window was created by using a Square Spellbinder die. The window frame was created with two of the square dies. The inside image was colored with Copic Markers. I love the "attitude" of the chicken and this  sentiment coordinates perfectly.  AI makes creating a humorous card SO easy! Thanks for stopping by for a closer look. I always enjoy reading your comments!

Can You Digi It? Challenge 15 - Bird is the Word

This time around our Can You Digi It? Challenge is "Bird is the Word".   Here is the inspiration collage for this challenge: There are tons of fun bird images in the CYDI store.  I decided to use " Henpecked " by LilyPink Designs.  I cut out only the chicken for this card: I used Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake for the base of my card and the Retired Stampin' Up!  Chicken wire background stamp with this fun digi.  The dp is from October Afternoon.  The sentiment is from There She Goes and I added a row of rhinestones from Amuse. Thanks for stopping by to take a look!  I hope you get a chance to check out all of the design team creations and play along.
