Gerda Steiner Designs New Release - Melon Muncher

I'm very honored and excited to be Guest Designing for Gerda Steiner Designs this month. I was given the opportunity to create with their newest 2x3 clear set - Melon Muncher .  I love the GSD critters and this one is just the cutest!  Love the the little cheeks and adorable face. My design started with a stenciled background using a Sun Ray stencil from My Favorite Things.  The guinea pig was stamped and masked before inking the stencil.  A few hand drawn grass clumps and gems finish the scene. Please stop by the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog for additional photos and a supply list. My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #593

I'm playing along with this week's MFT sketch challenge featuring the adorable Penguins in Paradise.   The "water" was created using the MFT Wavy Lines stencil, Tim Holtz distress inks and Stickles for sparkle.  I used an old technique for the "sand" by tearing SU Creamy Caramel cardstock then inking lightly.   I stamped the palm tree on Creamy Caramel and Old Olive cardstock then fussy cut.  Images were colored with Copic Markers. My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch and Slimline challenge - Feeling Beachy

I'm joining the Wednesday Sketch and Slimline Challenges at MFT.  Full size slimline cards are not my usual card, but it was really fun to have a larger canvas for this beach scene. This is my first card featuring Birdie Brown's Penguins in Paradise set.  The images and sentiments are SO cute!  I had a lot of fun coloring them as well.  All of the images on my card are from the set. The water was created with the MFT Wavelines stencil.  I started the sky with my Gelli Plate and distress inks spritzed with water.  Once dry, I used distress inks and the MFT Sunray stencil.  An old, but rediscovered, torn paper technique was used for the sandy beach.  Of course, the images were colored with my favorite Copic Markers. Art Impressions Challenge - Under the Sea

I'm joining the current AI challenge - Under the Sea - with this sweet turtle image.  This was a 2020 Freebie with purchase.  I was lucky enough to receive it from another AI fan who had a duplicate!  Isn't he SO cute?! For my mini slimline design, I started the scene by using distress inks on my gelli plate with spritzed water.  The "rays" were stenciled with distress ink.  I used an older technique, shared by Janet Axtman , for the "sand" using torn card stock .  I found the coral and seaweed stickers in my stash.   I attached an actual tiny star fish from my stash as well.  I'm really pleased with how this turned out.  It will go into my stash for that special "someone". MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #523

I really enjoyed creating with this week's MFT sketch.  SO many possibilities!  I decided to use scraps from my MFT Painted Prints Citrus paper pack.  The stenciled base was created with the "New-to-Me" MFT Inward Element stencil.   The MFT Happy Birthday die was perfect for this project. It's rare that I create a card without any stamping! AAA Cards CAS Game #167 - One Layer + optional twist Inspired By The Graphic

I'm joining a couple of challenges with this one-layer clean and simple Father's Day card.  The card started by sponging and blending distress ink with the MFT Radiating Rays stencil.  I used my Misti to stamp the Sweet 'n Sassy silhouette image in Versafine Claire black ink.  The sentiment is a retired set from SNSS. I really like how this turned out.  Clean and simple saves on the postage as well since this will be going into the mail in the morning!    I would like to share my card with the following: AAA Cards CAS Game #167 - One Layer + Inspired by the Graphic Word Art Wednesday Challenge:  #444 - 445 Anything Goes   Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Summer Fun   Stamplorations Stencil Challenge:  June Anything Goes

My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #479

I'm joining the current sketch challenge at My Favorite Things with this fun underwater ocean scene.  My card features the adorable Mermazing set by Birdie Brown.   The images were all colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  I sponged the base panel with Tim Holtz distress inks:  Stormy Sky, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint sketch.  The MFT Ray of Light Stencil was used with Stormy Sky ink. After I spritzed with water and air dried the small fish, kelp and coral were stamped with Versafine Clair ink.  The sentiment is from PI - All Occasion Sentiments set.
