Stampin' In Alaska

  I'm sharing a fun mousey card featuring House Mouse Designs Breezy Day stamp  set by Spellbinders. The image was stamped onto watercolor paper, colored with Prisma Color pencils and blended with baby oil.  A cloudy sky was created by masking and inking with distress inks.  The card base was created with acrylic paint and my Geli plate.  A few Stampin' Up! dew drops and coordinating sentiment complete the card.   I'm joining the current Art Impressions Challenge - Feeling Blue.  We are using the color blue on our project.  What a better way to use various blues that a water scene!   My card features the Art Impressions Submarine Cubbies set.  This set includes several water creatures, a submarine, sentiments and coordinating die cuts. I used several inky techniques on this card.  I started by ink blending the cloudy sky with a cloud die template and Stormy Sky distress ink.  The various water critters were ink smooshed using Stormy Sky and Blue Print distress inks.  I pulled a Gelli Print from my stash for the "water" panel.  Of course, the submarine was stamped onto gray card stock and die cut then cropped to peek onto the panel.  I finished with a sentiment from My Favorite Things.   I'm joining Mo's Summer Fun challenge with a favorite summer past time - Fishing!  I have several fishermen in my family and I love Mo's Fishing image. The image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic Markers.   I masked and sponged the cloudy background with distress inks.  A waves stencil from MFT was used for the water. I couldn't resist adding the fish image from Art Impressions.  Don't you love his expression?!  I finished with a birthday sentiment from AI and button embellishments from my stash.   I'm playing along with the current sketch and slimline challenges at My Favorite Things.  I pulled out Birdie Brown's Sweater Weather in the Woods set for a Fall themed slimline design. The fun critters were stamped onto water color paper and colored with Tombow markers.  The card base was masked and inked with several distress inks for the cloudy sky.  I layered the MFT Farm Fence die and Sugar Pea birch die to complete the scene.   I'm joining the August challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs with this sweet Umbrella Mouse digital stamp.  The image was colored with Copic markers and highlighted with charcoal pencil.  A scalloped circle die was used as a mask to sponge the cloudy sky.   The Scripture is a freebie from Word Art Wednesday .  Karen Murray generously creates and provides a free Scripture each week.  Stop by for a visit...
