Stampin' In Alaska

  I'm sharing a fun fall card featuring Polkadoodles Eli Elephant Clearing Leaves .  I had so much fun coloring this image!  The image was die cut with Stitched Scalloped edge dies from Scrappy Boy Stamps.  It was then layered onto papers from the Echo Park Fall 6x6 paper pad. A few enamel dots and baker's twine bow finish the card.  This will go into my Thanksgiving stash for family and friends.   I'm joining the current challenge at Di's Digi Stamps Challenge blog.  The current theme is Elaborate Embellishments.  My card features Di's adorable Sunflower Racoon digital image.  The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  It was layered onto Daisy D designer papers from my stash.  A Hero Arts sentiment, gingham ribbon and sunflower embellishments finish the card. This will go into my stash of Thanksgiving cards for family and friends.   It's hard to believe that Fall is here in Alaska.  Trees are turning and there is a briskness to the air.  Time to begin my annual Thanksgiving card stock pile for friends and family. I began building my scene with digital kitchen images from Craftin' Desert Divas Stamps.  Sadly, they are no longer in business.  My card focus is on the Sweet November Stamps Wee Pie Baker image and her little pies.  They were colored with Copic Markers. The card size is 6.5 x 4.25 so I kept it simple with a green border and sentiment from Hero Arts.   I had so much fun creating this vintage, grunge Thanksgiving card for the Simon Monday challenge.  I started with a vintage cut from Crafty Secrets.  Some of you may remember the vintage goodies that Crafty Secrets provided.  Sadly, the owner decided to retiree a few years ago and closed the shop.  So, I decided to put on my "vintage" crafty hat today and play! The BINGO base panel is from 7gypsies and stenciling was applied.  Embellishments from my stash were added to the card including a distressed paper lace.   I'm sharing a fun Thanksgiving themed card for this week's challenge at Art Impressions .  We were asked to use squares with our projects. My card features a retired AI set - Full of Thanks set 4939.  This is one of my go-to sets for Thanksgiving projects.  The images and sentiments in this set are adorable and humorous. The images were stamped with Versafine Claire ink, colored with Copic markers and cut with square stitched dies.  They were layered onto designer paper from Pebbles Woodland Forest paper pad.  A few enamel dots and coordinating sentiment finish the 4.25 square card.   Last Fall I purchased this fun mixed media fall tree stamp from Unity called Tree of Gratitude .  I found a perfect Gelli Print in my stash and the rest came together quickly!  The tree image was stamped with my Misti in black VersaFine Clair ink.  The sentiment is also from a Unity set called Change Can Be Beautiful . The Gelli Print panel is layered onto black card stock. Bo Bunny Double Dot card stock was used for the card base.  A few enamel dots complete the card.   I'm joining the current Slimline challenge at MFT which is Anything Goes with a mini slimline size.  My finished card is 3x6.  I enjoy this size and the adorable Happy Pumpkin Season set worked perfectly for this size. The images were stamped then masked to stamp the cobble street road from On Solid Ground .  In hindsight, the brick might have been a better choice but I like the look of the cobblestones!   With the images masked, I used Memento ink to blend the sky.  I removed the mask and colored the images with Copic Markers.  A sentiment from the set finishes the scene.   I'm joining the current challenge at Di's Digi Stamps with her adorable Wendy Pumpkin digital stamp. The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils. I paper pieced her dress with coordinating papers from Pebbles  Woodland Forest paper pad. My Favorite Things Stitch Scallop Basic Edges die cut was used for the image panel.  A few gems and sentiment sticker finish the card.   Happy Saturday!  I hope everyone gets a chance to be creative this weekend.  In Anchorage, we received our first snow this week.  It will be a very long, snowy winter but always warm and toasty in the craft room! I'm joining the current Art Impressions challenge with a stenciled background for the adorable turkey bum from (retired) AI Gobble Set.  The image was colored with Copic markers and layered onto a wooden floor from a MFT set called "On Solid Ground".   Good morning!  I'm sharing a Fall design for the current Power Poppy challenge.  My card features Power Poppy's Seasons Seatings digital set. I printed the image onto kraft card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The image was die cut and layered onto papers from my stash.  A ribbon and acorn embellishment finish the card.   I'm joining the current challenge at Di's Digi with a Thanksgiving card.  I printed Di's The Hedgehog, the Mole and the Fox image then fussy cut the fox for my card. The image was colored with Copic markers and layered onto Fall papers from my stash.  Spellbinder leaf dies, a pumpkin sticker and enamel dots embellish.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company.   I very recently came across the Gecko Galz vintage printables. Such fun stuff!  They are also hosting a stamp challenge on their blog featuring this fun pumpkin digital image.  I couldn't pass up the challenge! The pumpkin was colored with Prismacolor pencil and blended.  I used alcohol markers for the leaves and acorns.  Pattern paper is from my stash.   I'm playing along with Gerda Steiner's Anything Goes challenge this morning.  My card features one of Gerda's retired digital images called Warm Fuzzies Bear.  I thought he worked great for this little Fall scene. The cute bear and mug were colored with Prismacolor pencils and alcohol markers then fussy cut.  The scene was created with the Spring Scene Builder die from SugarPea Designs.  I added a pumpkin and mushrooms from Unity Stamp Company.
