Where has the month of July gone?!! I missed the Verve sketch challenges this month but have a few days to submit a project using the Diva Inspiration for July. My card features a fabulous set Scripture Medley 1    A clean and simple 4.25 square card which focuses on the comforting scripture. I LOVE that Jodie has begun including quality pre-colored images! It allows me to spend more time with the card design and paper choices that sometimes I overlook with time constraints. From the Heart Stamps hosts a fun bi-weekly challenge which includes a sketch and fun twist. My card this week features the adorable new digital Spectacular Birdbrain  The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic markers. Shading was applied with charcoal pencil. The background was sponged with Memento inks and a few gems were sprinkled in for fun. This week's featured image is Summer Butterfly Bear - Beach   The digital image was printed onto  Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils then fussy cut. Designer papers from BoBunny  and a machine stitched border finish the card. The bi-weekly challenge at  Art Impressions is currently Sweet Summertime . I dusted off a retired image (which I LOVE) and created a fun ocean themed card perfect for the Summertime.  My card features Penguin Snorkler  which is a retired AI image. The image was embossed with black  powder from Close To my Heart. Copic Markers were used for the fins and mask. A bubble emboss folder, brads, a wave die and light chalking on the image finish the card. Thanks for stopping by for a closer look! Jodie's creativity is endless and each Tuesday she treats Bugaboo Fans with several new images. (How does she do it?!) The design team is featuring a sweet little girl image this week. I've chosen the pre-colored image for my project.  Sometimes its fun to step out of the standard A2 size card and create  a shaped card.  The image inspired the circle  shaped card.  A machine stitched border, ribbon and heart brads finish the card. My card features the adorable Poppi Penguin -Surf The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers then fussy cut. The background image is from Digital Delights called Beach Scene Background . Flower Soft has been applied to the "beach" and stickles have been applied variously. I love how this digital background makes such a quick and easy card! Each week the Bugaboo Design Team is asked to select a Daily Holiday, Special and Wacky Day and use this as our HMW inspiration. I chose "Hot Enough for you Day". My card features the adorable  Bacon in the Sun I kept the design clean and simple. The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  A machine stitched border, gems and an epoxy gel sticker from Colorbok finishes the card. The folks over at Art Impressions  are celebrating their 29th Birthday!! Of course, as a huge Art Impressions Fan, I had to join along in the fun. My card features an AI clear set sold exclusively at Hobby Lobby called  Dare to Be Fabulous  This group of ladies really made me smile. The sentiment reads: "We'll be friends until we're old and senile then we'll be new friends!" The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils with charcoal pencil highlights. I found some older papers in my stash from the Basic Grey Marrakech paper pad for layering. A machine stitched border finishes the card.
