Art Impressions Challenge #134: Anything Goes - Masculine

This week's Art Impressions Challenge: Anything Goes - Masculine was the perfect inspiration to create this masculine scrapbooking page of my husband and his first experience on a paddle board. I have combined various papers and stickers with three fun Art Impressions images: Surfer Dude Surfer Surfs Up! sentiment   The images were heat embossed with CTMH black and fussy cut then colored with copic markers.  A light chalking was added for the "sunburn". The layout inspiration is from  Sketch~N~Scrap Challenge #55 This was a lot of fun to put together and was really a quick project.  I'm so glad for the inspiration to get caught up on my much neglected scrapbooking projects! Thanks for stopping by!  I always enjoy reading your comments.

Mo's Challenge #228 and Simon Says Wednesday

Hello!  I'm stopping in with a quick clean and simple card for a couple of challenges. I bought this sweet digital image from the Mo Manning shop and had it  partially colored on my craft desk. This week's DP2 clean and simple challenge was perfect. The image is called " Retriever " and was colored with Prismacolor pencils and Copic markers. It was fussy cut and layered on an embossed panel. Of course, I have two "pups" and they were both wanting attention this morning while I was putting this card together. I tried to get a photo of Bud, but he saw the camera come out and he ran!! I actually got a sweet photo of our girl, but Blogger is being naughty and not uploading.  Boo-Hoo! I'm also entering my card in the following: Simon Says Wednesday:  Keep it Clean and Simple That Craft Plan Challenge:  Anything Goes Crafty Little Fairies: Furry Friends Creative Knockouts: #34 Anything Goes Thank...

The color inspiration came from this month's {be Inspired} Challenge : The sketch is from the weekly MFT sketch : Thanks for stopping by for a closer look! My Favorite Things - Floral Mother's Day

A couple of week's ago I received a fabulously detailed Lily Die-namics free with my purchase from My Favorite Things . It has been sitting on my craft desk because I was a little intimidated by the many pieces and the intricacy of the design. My Favorite Things post fabulous "How-To" Videos and I found one showing me how to assemble the floral die.  Here's what I came up with using this week's MFT sketch #172 : I inked the edges of the die cut pieces to give a little extra dimension.  The die cut base is Spellbinders Fancy lattice and the sentiment is from the Precious Poppies set by Sweet 'n Sassy. I am also submitting my card for this week's  Sweet 'n Sassy Challenge #8 Mother's Day.

Sassy Cheryl Challenge #206 - Just Foolin' Around

This week's Sassy Cheryl Challenge is  " Just Foolin' Around ". Dawn is hostessing this week and she has asked us to use a "silly" Sassy Cheryl image for our project.   The first "silly" image I could think of was one of Cheryl's vintage images called "Sassy Opinion".     I kept the design clean and simple to focus on the silly image and coordinating sentiment.  A paper border from Basic Grey Olivia Paper pad and twine finish it off.     The sentiment is continued on the inside.  It's so perfect for this image, don't you think?  The digital sentiment is from Create With TLC . I used two different emboss folders for the grass and ground. The Memory Box Spring border die was used for the flower border.
