A Light Unto My Path
I love lighthouses and this set is beautiful! I actually received this image and sentiment thru Wish RAK. A little touch of glitter through the beam of light adds just a touch of sparkle. I'm really happy I kept it just blue and white which was my first idea -- believe me I toyed with adding a pop of color somewhere but kept being drawn back to just the navy and white. I submitting this for a WRAK challenge to emboss something on your card - I know it's hard to see but the first blue layer was run through the Cuttlebug and embossed with the Numbers Collage folder. Even the lacy white layer is not only punched out but also embossed thanks to Fiskars new punch/embossing tool. A few dew drops and it is complete. Thanks so much for swinging by today. Tell me how you are doing.

Pumpkins for Sale
Over to the right of my blog you will find some blog challenges I enjoy. Well I just discovered the blog "Mothers & Daughters Creations" where I played along with their sketch challenge. This is also for the WRAK weekend. I had received not only the image from WRAK, but also the sentiment and brads! Colors are my favorite, earth elements (really rust, close to cocoa, river rock, white and Apple Cider DSP). I colored the pumpkins in late last night with my copics, when I was really tired -- not the best idea in the world, that's for sure!!! The pumpkins and the sentiment are popped up on the Swiss Dots embossing folder layer. What a fun sketch!!

Comfort & Peace
A card for a swap I'm in -- I almost forgot about this swap, how awful!!!!! I only have one set of 5 of these cards to make, thank goodness. I've been busy getting ready for a Stamp-a-Stack stamp camp as well as making some FUN things for my design team for Clear Dollar Stamps.
This card uses a stamp set by GinaK Designs called Comfort & Peace - a beautiful set with lovely sentiments. I used close to cocoa, pretty in pink, very vanilla and Parisian Summer DSP. The Swiss Dots embossing folder has to be my absolute favorite - I seem to go for it all the time! Ribbon is from Jacksonbelle Embellishments -- I love the ribbons she sells!!! Super quick, super easy...just the way I like it!!!

I Do Love Snowmen!
And I do love stepping out of my comfort zone every so often which is what I did here making this pull-out scrapbook. I can create a card any day of the week and twice on Sundays, but ask me to make a scrapbook page I'm lost. So I challenged myself to make one. I found the tutorial on SCS's resource pages. It makes use of 2 coasters, some ribbon and designer paper. I must say, it turned out really cute. The photos are of the album closed, the main cover opened with the inside pull-outs still tied shut, then one side opened to show you what that looks like. Yep, those are my boys (DH included) sledding down our hill into the neighbors yard. It's not a very long ride, but it sure is fun!! Oh, and those are last year's pictures! We've had snow already, just not that much!!!!!
Snowman Wishes
I do adore snowmen so this new set by Clear Dollar Stamps was tops on my list!! I did a color challenge that was presented to the design team - night of navy, kraft, always artichoke and bashful blue. Such a fun card to make, too bad I agonized over it for hours!!!!! Guess that happens sometimes!! I added a little color to Mr. Snowman then punched him out and layered him up. It's popped up over the swiss dots embossed bashful blue square with some beautiful blue and white ribbon. I used an old snowflake punch to add a little something along with silver brads and white snowflake eyelets (I almost forgot I had these!!).
