Fun at the Beach!

We went to the beach this last weekend. It was sooo Gorgeous there! 80 degrees in parts of it. We drove down on the beach outside of Pacific City and saw this tree tucked away in a little cove like area. These look like bouys or whatever it is they put on the docks so the boats don't hit it. I am assuming someone did this to the tree but I don't know where they got them all.
It looked perfect like it was decorated for Easter. We also saw just a little bit of some whales, that was fun too.
We also made it to two scrapbook stores over there. It was a great day!
If only I could get my hubby to go to Mo's with me it would have been perfect!

Awesome Day at The Beach!

Here are some of our beach pictures from sunday. The weather was soooo awesome. The last picture is Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach. The weather was the best there because there was no wind like there was earlier in the day at Oceanside.
The fog was just a haze in the distant. It never came into any of the towns we were in which was really nice.
Some day I really would like to live there. A house on the beach. It wouldnt matter if the weather was yucky, you could spend those days sitting in the house looking out at the ocean. How peaceful would that be???

Beach Trip!

So yesterday we decided to take a little drive since it was a beautiful day. We went over towards Yamhill and then ended up on a road to the coast. The main road to the Nestucca Reacreation areas was closed. So we ended up on this glorified logging road. It was paved but only one lane. Just a little scary in places I thought. Then we decided to go to the beach. Very unlike us to decide to go over there that like in the afternoon.
It was absolutely gorgeous over there. We had a great time. We went into Pacific City and it was hopping.
Here are some great pics we took.

They look like it is almost dark but it really isnt. It was really light like the bottom picture of Bud with his new Jeep. We had to stop and buy him a jacket because we had the T-tops off and it was a little chilly driving around. Since we thought we were just going for a little drive around our area we werent really prepared.
It was a great "little" drive.

Trip South!

We just got back from a mini vacation. We drove down the Oregon Coast clear to the Redwood Forest in California. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Until you got out of the car. Then the icy wind hit and you froze. So we didnt spend much time on the beach.
I went to a few stamp stores. My favorite in Coos Bay is getting ready to close. Very depressing. It is the best around. She has the most stuff I have ever seen. But I guess too much inventory is not always a good thing.
Then I went to a few other stores too. Got some pretty papers and a few stamps.
We also found a great Windmill to restore and put in our yard. It will be perfect with the lighthouse.
It was in a gift shop of all places. It was a real bear to get it out of a full gift shop and then make it fit in the car to get it home.
We stayed at the Bandon Inn in Bandon. It overlooked Old Towne Bandon. We had a great view from our hotel.
