Another Papertrey Ink Project!

This is made with another PTI set. It is called Quilted Summer and has matching dies also. It was fun to make. You cut out the quilt pattern and then stamp all the pieces and put them back in.

The first card I had a little glitch on one of the little pieces so it looks a little different. The second card is the best. It shows this as a pinwheel pattern. The third card I had another little glitch on the sentiment so I stamped it again and fussy cut it out. So most of the time when you make a mistake it can be mostly fixed.
I used daffodil delight, mint macaron and melon mambo for the color combo on this card and layered it with melon mambo cardstock.
I added a couple of little rhinestones to the center of the quilt block and the flower.
The flower is a two step flower and then it has its own little die cut. With these dies, you cut everything out first and then stamp on them because these dies are not thinlits.
This is a fun stamp set. It has the flower stamp, and also has two sizes of pinwheels (stamps and dies) also two sizes of butterflies and a couple of other flowers. So it has lots of possiblities with it.
Tomorrow I will have another PTI card with the Cutting Garden set again.

Make It Monday at PaperTrey Ink!

Over at Nicholes blog for Papertrey Ink, they have their Make It Monday challenge. This week it is to fussy cut something. I just got two new sets in the mail from them on friday and love them both. I love stamping with their photopolymer stamps. They stamp and ink up great. So I stamped the flowers from the Cutting Garden set and stamped them down the side of the card. Then I cut around the edges of the flowers. Of course there are matching dies for this set and I did get them with the set but didnt use them so I could enter this challenge.
This is a single layer card which is really hard for me. It just doesnt seem right not to layer it up and add some great embellishments. So I did add some ribbon on it.
The ribbon is also papertrey ink I think Aqua Mist. The inks are stampin up, the new in colors watermelon wonder and macaron mint, plus daffodil delight and melon mambo.
The sentiment also came from the Cutting Garden stamp set. I think there are 4 sentiments with this set.

Papertrey Ink Ice Cream!

This was a fun card to make. I think the sequins really topped it off. I used a papertrey ink set and stampin up set. The papers came from a martha stewart paper pack I got on clearance at Fred Meyers one day.

See Thru Card!

I saw this card on Papertrey ink, make it monday or something like that. I am still deciding about it.
You cant really put white or anything on the inside or it will mess up the outside and if you write on the inside it will show thru also.
But the dies and flower stamps are all papertrey ink.

Flipping Out!

Here are the cards I made out of the sea of flipflops I showed yesterday. I got my inspiration from a card on pinterest . My card doesnt really look much like it. The layout is the same tho, but thats good right. You get your idea from somewhere else and then make it your own?!
I used the Flipping Out stamp set and matching dies from Papertrey Ink. This is the birthday card to go with the gift and then I made 6 matching cards that say "Life is better in flipflops". I have to totally agree with that. Especially the nike ones that I call pillow tops. They are the best.
Anyway, I put the 6 cards in a gift box and wrapped it with a bow.
I hope my birthday friend loves the cards. I think she will.

A Sea of Sandals!

I am making a gift set of cards for a friend for her birthday. We both love flip flops. I bought some stamps and dies from Papertrey ink. I love them! But you know how after a few time thru your die cutting maching for some reason the paper always seems to stick in the die?? Will these dies dont have any little holes in them to poke them out. So my hubby fixed that for me! He drilled little hole in the dies for me. Now I can poke them out!! Yeah!
More to come on these cards!

Papertrey Ink!

I finally used my new papertrey ink dies. They are on the teapot and the teatime sentiment. There is one more that is a teacup that I didnt use on this card. They are fun too use but you have to use the dies 1st and then stamp the matching image. It works pretty good since the stamps are clear.
I love these papers I used. Also the embossing folder was fun too.

Card for a Friend!

I made this card a few weeks ago for a friend. Now that I have given it to her I can post it. I made a matching gift box with a candle and some chocolates in it. I thought I had taken a picture of it also but not sure where it went. Since the candle was a strawberry candle I decided to go with a strawberry themed card and box. I pulled out my papertrey ink set and some strawberry papers and came up with this. I think she really liked how it turned out.

Quilt Card!

I saw a tutorial on this quilt card on someones blog. Stamp, paper, scissors, Rock! Something like that and really liked it. I thought this papertrey ink sentiment went perfect with the quilt design. I was going to add another technigue I learned this weekend to it too but it took too much attention off the quilt look so I decided to leave that for another card.
I used the stampin up top note sizzix die and the floral fantasy cuttlebug embossing folder. The ds papers I used are chatterbox and stampin ups cardstock almost amethyst. I stamped the sentiment with elegant eggplant.

Papertrey Ink Card!

I thought this paper from Basic Grey would go perfect with this stamp from papertrey ink. My nice sis sent me some stamped images of it. I colored the house with copic markers and added some glitter for a snow look. The wreath wouldnt fit on the front store so I added it to the side. It is from the Poinsettia and Boxwood set from Flourishes. I borrowed this set from my friend Alice. The sentiment is from Verve. It comes with a poinsettia stamp. I used stampin up bravo burgundy and pink piroutte.

Too Much Pink??!! Never!!!!

Of course anyone that knows me knows that I looooove pink! Its my absolute fav! So I saw this card done on Pickled Papers and loved it. So I had to use her colors and make it into a calender and card. You can visit her card here http://pickledpaperdesigns.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html.

My friend Alice and I have been trading calenders for years. Before that we did calenders with a stamp club we used to belong too. For next year Lynn decided to join us and we decided to make all our calenders at once so we would have a whole year at one time. Previously Alice and I were just giving them to each other one month at a time.

We each have 4 months to do. I decided to get mine all done this weekend and also to make a card to match each calender. Then I decided to have a theme for all 4 of my months. Can you tell what my theme is? Tea or coffee related.

I just got this set in the mail yesterday. I bought it because of the card I saw on Pickled Paper's blog. So I decided to use it for my 1st month. This set is called Tea for Two and it is by My Favorite Things. I love the little bunnies in the cup. I used basic grey papers from the bittersweet collection. Also pretty in pink and chocolate chip stampin up cardstock. The month is from hero arts and the calender is from Paper Inspiration. I used my oval nesties and for the month I used a stampin up sizzix die and the large oval punch. I used Our Craft Lounge's White Sparkly Fluff on the bunnies tail and Icicle stickles on the dots on the tea cup. I used several different flowers I had laying around and some stampin up brads and a martha stewart leaf punch. The ribbon is also from stampin up.

On the card I added a tag because I am also using the card for Kraftin Kimmies blog challenge this week is anythin with a tag.

KKSC3

This is my card for Kraftin Kimmies blog challenge. KKSC3. Shades of Autumn. I love this line of Basic Grey papers. Indian summer. I also love when we have an Indian summer. These papers are so gorgeous and match almost all of the incolor stampin up colors. I used crushed curry and soft suede cardstock and crushed curry ribbon. I found the little spoon charm I had had forever.
The stamp set is from Papertrey Ink and is called Warm Happiness. Dont ya just love that name? I added Yellow stickles on the spots on the cocoa cup. It makes me feel warm to just look at it.
