Slow and Steady

Isnt this little guy adorable? I just love him. I picked him up on my visit a couple of weeks ago to Coos Bay to Memories Of Time. If you get to Coos Bay soon everything is 40% off. Cant beat that. Anyway, this set is from Our Craft Lounge. It is called Slow and Steady. I have had the turtle paper for about two years. I had bought it when I got a turtle stamp from Stamping Bella I have never used yet. I like how it goes with this turtle. I paired it with Green Galore discountined cardstock. I have about 1 1/2 packages of it and thought I would use it up. The turtle paper is from Three Bugs in A Rug, the Snips and Snails line.
I colored him with copic markers and then stamped the sentiment on top. He would make a cute boy card too.
I have entered this card in the following challenges:

Our Craft Lounge Sketch Challenge!

This cute little gal is from Our Craft Lounge set Fairy Dust is a Must. Isnt she adorable sitting on her mushroom. She has a bouquet of flowers to give to  her birthday girl.
Because of how the sketch showed the ribbon I decided to do the inside of the card also.
I dont know if you can read the sentiment or not but it says May all of your wishes come true. All the stamps used on this card are from the same set. My ribbon is from the new stampin up catty. It is Melon Mambo
ant the cardstock is Lucky Limeade my new favorite and Pink Passion.
Here is there sketch:

OCLDT35

This card is for Our Craft Lounge challenge for this week. You can check it out here http://www.blog2.ourcraftlounge.com/ They have some cool challenges and if you use OCL stamps at the end of the month they have a drawing and you can win a free stamp set. I used Natures Note for my card this week. It has some cool flowers and borders and the butterfly. I colored mine with my copics and added a little glitter. I just pulled some dp and bazzill cardstock. I am making this card for a co workers birthday. I am going to make a matching set of cards to go with it and a matching gift box. I made one for another coworker last week I havent posted yet.

OCLDT30

Here is this weeks card for the challenge on Our Craft Lounges blog. I used this elephant from the Lil' Peanut Set. I think this elephant is sooo cute. I colored it with copic markers and cut it out with my nesties. The balloons I colored and then added my glaze pen over the top and cut them out so they are 3-D.

OCLDT28!

Here is my card for the Our Craft Lounge challenge for this week. OCLDT28. I love this little fairy girl. She is the one we used to practise hair and skin color on at class last week.
I found this pretty paper at Craft Warehouse. I think it goes perfect with her. I put stickles on her wings and gold and pink smooches on her crown. She is colored with copic markers.
I hope you enjoy her!

OCLDT27!

Here is my picture of Cami and myself after class at her grandmothers apartment. I had a great time getting to know her.
Also my card for the blog challenge at Our Craft Lounge. Now that I have all my great new OCL stamps I can participate every week with a different set. This week I used Coastal Wishes set for this card. I also used some sea themed patterned paper I got at MOT store in Coos Bay. I purchased several sea stamps there also. I cant wait to play with them. Just a few of them are the magnolia mermaid and seahorse.
I thought the sentiment relax and enjoy was perfect for how I felt about the weekend.
Today is my first day back to work after a great week so I will have to keep reminding myself of that sentiment all day long today. But after work I am going to go to Craft Warehouse to get things I need for stamp club for this saturday that I couldnt find with all the shopping I did.

Kiki and OCLDT18

Heres little Kiki but hes's

not feeling his best. He was sick all weekend and I had to take him into the vet today because Kati had school until 7 pm tonight. He has an upper respiratory infection and as you can see a little infection in his eye. Poor little baby. But other than that isnt he adorable?

Also here is my card for the card challenge this week over at Our Craft Lounge. I just got this set last week with the butterflys. I really like the butterflys. But the sketch not so much. I am really not into cards this size. I am going to be using this card for stamp club this weekend but think I will trim it down to regular size.

You know, as much as I try I can not get my pictures and words the way I want on this thing. But oh well. For the card I colored it with copic markers and added some glitter. The sentiment was supposed to be a circle also but I changed that a little. I used stampin cardstock Apricot Appeal and Pretty in Pink and some pretty in pink grosgrain ribbon I was given from cod wholesale. The designer paper is from me and my big ideas.

OCLDT16

Here is my sketch challenge for Our Craft Lounge. They draw a winner at the end of each month from all the entries. If you use one of their stamp sets you are eligible. I only have two sets tho. Last time I used a stamped image of a friends (thanks, Joyce) when we were stamping awhile back. So I guess that means I will have to order another one from them. Lucky for me I just got a togo kit order in the mail today. Maybe I will use that money for the one OCL set I have been wanting.
For this card I used their Fueled by Caffeine set. It has some great sayings if you have any coffee drinking friends.
I love the yellow and blue together. I had the su retired Ivy stamp still out from the earlier card I had made so for the background I stamped it in Brilliant Blue on So saffron cardstock. Then I used the blue and yellow gingham. The blue gingham I got at a craft day my sister had at her work. Everyone brought things they wanted to get rid of and just took what they wanted. Of course both my sister and I wanted the blue gingham but there was a whole pack so I think we each got 9 12 x 12 sheets. So we got quite a bit. The yellow is still from The Girls Paperie papers. I got them from two peas in a bucket. I sure love those papers.
Speaking of those papers, I was going to make up a bunch of the cards I did for the taylored expressions sketch challenge earlier this weekend and was out of the paper I had used. So I substituted if with these papers also and it turned out really neat. I will take pictures and post them later this week. I even liked them better than the original.
Anyways, back to the card. I stamped the coffee pot and cup with Mementos Tuxedo Black and them colored them with copic markers and then put diamond glaze over them to make them look like ceramic. I ran them and the so saffron layer thru the cuttlebug with my rectangle nesties. The little saying at the top was with the rectangle nesties also with one of the sentiments from same set and layered with brilliant blue cardstock.
I had to add a ribbon to the card. Not part of the sketch but you cant go wrong adding ribbon right? My sister used to always say (probably still does) it needs ribbon.

2nd Post for Today! OCLDT15

I made this card for this weeks challenge over at Our Craft Lounge. OCLDT15. You just use their sketch and one of their stamps. I had stamped some of these images from a friend awhile back and thought I would use it. The sentiment is from the set also but the bag of peanuts is from High Hopes. I colored the elephant with copic markers and because I stamped so many images on one page I had to cut him out by hand. The papers are from the local scrapbook store but they dont say on them what company they are from. It matched some discounted cardstock from stampin up I still have. Forest foliage.

Parka Penquins

I love these little Parka Penquins from Our Craft Lounge. I think they are so fun. I used the Martha Stewart Icicle Punch for the top and ran it thur my xyron machine and glittered it. I used Our Craft Lounge White Sparkly Fluff on her hood and his hat and glittered the bottom for snow. I also glittered the snowflakes. My papers are stampin up kiwi kiss and melon mambo cardstock and My Minds Eye Colorful Christmas collection designer papers.
I went to town to the scrapbook store today and bought some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses collection and some other fun christmas papers too.
Also the sentiment on this card is from Impression Obsession Let It Snow set. On the pink border around the penquins I stamped the little snowflake with Papertrey ink Fresh snow white ink.
