Baby Cards!

I made these baby cards for a previous co worker. She is going to be having a baby girl in the middle of June. I made a gift bag to match and put the card for her on the outside instead of an envelope. Then I made 25 cards that say thank you so she can use them after the baby is born.

I received this set last fall at the Stampin Up catalogue premier. I bought the matching punch.

I didnt think I would ever use this set but it does make a cute baby card.

Gift Box!

I made a matching gift box for my birth anouncements. Also included a card for all the co-workers to sign to go with the gift. My hubby really liked it. I hope the new mother likes it also.

I have had these boxes stashed away for years. They really come in handy. I think I got them when I was a Close To My Heart rep. We are going to Target and get a blanket or something to go with the gift also.

New Baby Card!

My Hubby called me from work yesterday saying he just found out a work associate just had a baby that morning. Could I make something for them to give them on Monday. So I decided to make some birth annoucements for them. I made twentyfive of these cards. I had seen a card and saved it awhile back wanting to make some baby cards but didnt have anyone to make them for. It took me all day today to make these.
I used designer paper form the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy. I have had this paper pack for almost all this year I think. At least since last spring. I know I used it in March, so a long time.
I combined it with stampin up baja breeze and certainly celery. The stamp is one of the little $1 stamps and I also used a stamp from the Punches Three stampin up set. It was a hostess set, last year I think. I used my nestibilites and stampin up punches and colored the giraffe with copic markers. Then I used my white pen around the scallop and a black pen for my faux stitches.

Baby Shower Gift!

Hello! I havent been around much lately because I have been working on this project for a baby shower gift for a co-worker. Also I have been getting projects ready for our stamping retreat at the beach next weekend.

I made 25 of these cards. 20 for the gift and 5 for my stash. I mostly cased this card right off the Verve website gallery. My boss decided at the last minute to have this baby shower so I was in a hurry. As it is I am about 4 days late from the shower. I also made a coordinating gift box to put the cards in. I messed up on the inside of one of the cards so I just peeled off the outside and used it on the gift box. I used Verve stamps Practically Perfect and Circular Sayings. I changed the ribbon a little bit from the original card and added the thanks at the top. These are thankyou cards for the mother of the baby to give out. I also used su Pink Pirroutte, copic markers, and my swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder.

I added liquid pearls on her necklace to look like a real pearl necklace. If you would like to see the original card you can check it out on the Verve gallery.

I wont be showing many projects for about a week. I will be spending this week grocery shopping, cleaning and making cupcakes for the weekend. My penpal Lynn is coming out to visit. (HI Lynn!!) We have never met in person so I am really excited and we are going we our friend Alice (HI Alice!!) to her beach house.

We will be eating way to much, watching movies, sight seeing and of course STAMPING!

Baby Cards
