Right at Home and My Sweet Petunia "Misti" Blog Hop

Misti

Welcome to the Right at Home collaboration with My Sweet Petunia for a fabulous Misti Blog Hop!

I'm sure by now you have heard about this amazing crafty "can't live without" tool but if not, here's a little about it:

Misti--Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented

MISTI's simple hinge design provides consistent stamping for the novice or experienced crafter. This tool will accommodate both the red rubber cling mount stamps or clear stamp. A foam pad is included with your MISTI to raise the cardstock when stamping with clear stamps. Your MISTI will provide a platform for multiple stamp techniques that are impossible with traditional stamp mounts. Use the two included magnets to quickly and easily position your cardstock, and the included grid paper makes it easy for you to layout and align your card's design.. Your MISTI is an investment you will treasure and enjoy, while saving you time and money while you make professional looking cards that reflect your creativity.

Here's my Misit (mini).
I have a larger magnet and I have laminated my grid paper so that when I stamp off the edge, I can just wipe off the ink and not use so many grid papers!

Misti4

I can't create a card anymore without my Mini Misti, whether I use it to perfectly align my sentiment before stamping (alas less waste because I only have to stamp it once or twice for a darker look) or to stamp multi-step stamp sets.  Right at Home just released a new set called Anemones and its a great stamp set but using a Misti tool makes stamping these florals so simple!

Misti2

I used some of my favorite inks to color my Anemones using my Misti.  All the flowers and greenery were trimmed by hand (there are dies available).  For my layout, I actually CASE'd fellow DT member Laurie Schmidlin with one of her cards.  I just loved the pink ombre background!  I used I blended Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks and splattered with water.  I arranged my flower layout and then stamped my sentiment placing it exactly right using my Misti.  If you don't get a good impression, stamp again!  One of the best things about the Misti!

Homemade with Love with Right at Home

Homemade with Love3

Welcome to the Homemade with Love week using Right at Home products!
I just returned home from a crafty weekend filled not only with papercrafting but crafting in general.    It's always fun to create handmade gifts with our papercrafting supplies.

DIY Sticky Notes Holder by Yuki // Homemade with Love Day #3 - rightathomeshop.com/blog

I created a mini burlap banner using mostly Taylored Expressions felt (because it is fantastic quality) and dies from Right at Home.  The banner is nothing fancy but will give some sunshine to a friend of mine who is going through a rough time.  I started by trimming 3 rectangles of burlap.  I didn't back the burlap with anything before working with it as its not going to be handled much once its hung.

Using dies from the Find the Beauty Die Set, I die cut various blooms and "leaves" from colors of felt.   Once cut, I arranged them on my burlap rectangles how I wanted them.  To attach them to the burlap, I simply stitched them using French Knots and a few stitches on the back side.  I love the simplicity of only using French Knots!  I also die cut the "hello" word die from Find the Beauty Die Set using black felt and used Glossy Accents to adhere to my middle banner.  Once done, I simply attached my three banners to thick twine with mini white clothes pins.

Bunny Hugs

Bunny Hugs

Hello!  I couldn't let this spring go by without using the adorable bunny image from Bunny Hugs with some florals from this same set.  My daughter will love this card!

I started by stamping some florals from Bunny Hugs onto a white panel that was die cut using the Find the Beauty Die Set.  I created a pink frame using both dies from this set.  My bunny was colored, fussy trimmed, and added with foam adhesive.  My sentiment was stamped in bold black ink.  Lastly, I applied a few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

National Craft Month Celebration Blog Hop

NCM Blog Hop

Hello!  There is a special blog hop happening today featuring Right at Home Stamps in celebration of National Craft Month!  I have the best time hosting Stamping Away Weekend once or twice a year and last fall Nicole sponsored our weekend with this AMAZING crafty set for each one of the attendees!  It was a HUGE hit!

Make Something Beautiful is now officially released for the celebration of National Craft Month!

Make Something Beautiful has some fun crafty images along with fantastic sentiments for your crafty friends!  I chose to highlight most of the images by spotlighting them with different colors of inks!  A perfect technique if you don't want to color!  ☺

I started by stamping my crafty outline images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a trimmed white panel.  Using Lawn Fawn inks (these are amazing BTW), I used the large circle image from Abstract Florals to do some spotlight coloring.  For my sentiment (and isn't it the cutest????), I white heat embossed it onto a black cardstock strip.  I added one die cut heart from the Cup of Joy Die Set with a tiny clear rhinestone to finish.

Pastel graduation using Right at Home Stamps

His Love

Hello!  I wanted to share a pastel "graduation" card using two of the newly released March stamp sets from Right at Home Stamps.......Bunny Hugs and His Love.  His Love stamp set has wonderful messages and one in particular makes me think of graduation.  With that season upon us, we have several graduations upcoming and this will be perfect for those!

"Of this be sure:  You do not find the happy life, You make it.----Thomas S. Monson"

I stamped many of the flowers from Bunny Hugs in two different shades of the same color in a spring palette.  I intertwined one of the vine/leaf images to create my own background.  I also used the tiny flower image to "fill in" some of the areas for more color using the darker shade of the ink colors.  I added tiny white dots to the flower centers with a white pigment ink pen.  It's those tiny details that add that punch.

The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink over top of some of the flowers.  I love doing this when you have a lighter stamped panel.  I adhered this panel with foam adhesive to a matching cardstock panel that was diecut with the largest frame from Find the Beauty Die Set.  I purposely kept this simple adding no further embellishments like sequins or enamel dots so I can easily slip this in the mail come graduation time.

Thank you and Right at Home Stamps

thank you

Hello!  Spring is everywhere around us here in Kansas and I love it!  Warmer temps calling for windows open and breezes!  Nicole with Right at Home Stamps had a new release last week of 3 new products.....two new stamp sets and one die set that has been so popular since the release!

Bunny Hugs is a super cute spring set that has a bunny image, sentiments, and lots of flowers.  I've used just one of the flower images and stamped them in a block with bright spring colors (Altenew inks).  BUT I wanted my main focus to be on the amazing new Script Greetings Die Set.  I die cut "thank you" out of black cardstock several times and created a chipboard sentiment.  I adhered this right over my flowers.  This panel was layered onto a black cardstock panel giving it a small black frame.  My focal panel was adhered to a top folding notecard that had been stamped with the Watercolor Background Stamp.

Masculine love

Love theme

Hello!  Just stopping in to share a "love" themed card using some versatile Right at Home products from the last release.  Masculine cards are always hard to make.  Period.  I thought I would make a card to have on hand for my anniversary.

Using Pinterest, I came across this color story from an old Colour Q challenge and fell in love with not only the colors but the focal point of the colors.  So I recreated the heart using the large heart die from the Folded Sweetheart Die Set.

I started by laying varying strips of cardstock onto a sheet of printer paper and adhering.  Next, simply die cut using the heart die.  My heart was added using foam adhesive to a very simple background of coordinating grey cardstock.  The die cut sentiment from the Folded Sweetheart Die Set was done twice and layered for an offset look.

Coffee anyone?

Fusion

Hello!  I am sharing a card made with the new coffee themed stamps from Right at Home's Cup of Joe release.  The images and sentiments are just fantastic!  I am a recent coffee addict so I am so excited to make coffee cards and send them out to friends!

I went with the current challenge over at Fusion Card Challenge for some color and design inspiration.  I love how a challenge can get you headed in the right direction!  This is a pretty basic design following the sketch but I did paper piece the coffee cozy with pattern paper from the Happiness collection by Simple Stories.
