Essentials by Ellen / New Release

Welcome to the new release for the Essentials by Ellen at Ellen Hutson!

I have a few fun "springy" cards to share!

Strawberry Fields is the PERFECT spring set!!

I've used it here as a background with lots of dimension with the berries and flowers.  Kept it simple with white on white with the pops of color in the strawberries!

Strawberry Fields

My next card is a little different for me but I LOVE how it turned out!

Using the new Abstract Nature set, I created pastel backgrounds so the abstract leaf could be over stamped in bold black ink.  The sentiments are new and AMAZING because they are FOIL......Casual Greetings by Julie Ebersole.

Go check out the new release!!!

Peek-A-Boo Pals: Camp Wanna Stamp---how stinkin' cute is this set??!

I started by creating a simple background of Distress Oxide inks in Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Cracked Pistachio, and Lucky Clover.  Once done, the panel was spritzed with droplets of water.  All the critters were Copic colored, die cut, and added to the Distress Oxide panel.  To finish, random solid stars and fireflies were stamped in black ink.

If you want a set that is so versatile for just about any occasion.....check out Everyday Doodles.  This is one of my favorite sets!

I created a CAS card using the bloom and leaves images from this set.  What I love is that the images are meant to not line up.  This makes creating a CAS super easy!!  I added my flowers to a scored note card and embellished with clear droplets.  The sentiment fit perfectly in the scored lines and is from All Inside stamp set.....which while you are over at Ellen Hutson, check out that adorable set too!

Ellen Hutson & Hero Arts Blog Hop

Hello2

Hello and Welcome to a special hop with Hero Arts and Ellen Hutson!
You will see so many fresh ideas using Hero Arts stamps.  Remember though, you can shop at either Hero Arts or Ellen Hutson to get your Hero Arts goodies!

*****************************************

I love color layering stamps and Hero Arts has so many fabulous ones.  I used the Color Layering For You Flowers Bundle which includes the ink, dies, and stamps.  I also used some other Hero Arts inks for the other colors of blooms.

Once all the blooms were stamped and die cut, they were layered onto a trimmed rounded panel that was ink blended with Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink in just two corners.  I love how this gives some shading but also leaves white space!  For the sentiment, I used the Hello Stamp & Cut bundle.  Hero Arts has many of these small sentiment sets that should be staples in your crafting!  To give that finishing touch, a few small droplets were added.

PRIZES:

You can win one of three $25 gift certificates to the Ellen Hutson shop! Winners will be drawn from commenters along the blog hop so make sure to comment at each stop before Friday, June 28th at 11:59pm PST. Winners will be notified by email.

Avery Elle and Ellen Hutson: G'Day Mate

United We Flourish

Hello there!!  Today I have a fun post to share with you!  Avery Elle has teamed up with our friends at Ellen Hutson for a collaboration stamp and die set called G'Day Mate as part of their United We Flourish Campaign.

Below is a little bit more about Ellen Hutson's United We Flourish program:

Last November we began celebrating our 10th anniversary with the theme United We Flourish. And what does United We Flourish mean? It means that our company would not be here without the amazing companies we work with, the designers who create stunning projects showcasing the wonderful products being created AND you, our fabulous customers! YOU are such a vital part of our creative community - you inspire & encourage us! Your response to United We Flourish was overwhelming and heart-warming. We heard repeatedly from you that you appreciate how our little company works together with the other manufacturers we carry to bring you their products and education showing how to use those products. To thank you for your constant support and encouragement, we have partnered with some of our friends to offer exclusive limited edition stamp & die sets!!! These sets will be available for a limited time (most likely 3-6 months) after each release, depending on how quickly you snap them up. The theme of these stamps sets are uplifting and fun.

We are thrilled to present the second one to you... G’Day Mate Avery Elle exclusively for Ellen Hutson LLC.

United We Flourish2

This stamp set, G'day Mate, is so unique with its critters from Australia.  I just had to ink up the adorable kangaroo and its joey!  Images were colored with Copics and die cut.  Next, I went about creating my scene using the Picket Fence Elle-ments from Avery Elle.  It's very hard to see in my photo but the sky has sponged clouds in the background.  To frame my entire scene, I used the Double Pierced Rectangles Elle-ments.

If you would like to see more inspiration using this set, make sure to head over to the CLASSroom blog at Ellen Hutson!

CAS(E) this Sketch and Ellen Hutson

CAS(E) this Sketch #216

Hello!  A quick card share for the current CAS(E) this Sketch.

This was one of the cards I completed while at Stamping Away last weekend.  My friend, Tracey, brought the Oh Frappe by Julie Ebersole set for me to use.  I paired it with the sketch and the Stitched Strip die from My Favorite Things for the background.

Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop!

Decorative Tag2

Hello and welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh New Release Blog Hop!  Say that a few times!  :)  Paulina recently released more amazing dies.......new tags and another storybook die!  Yay!

My first project uses the fabulous Mondo Poinsettia from the Essentials by Ellen by Julie Ebersole.  I've layered my watercolored Poinsettia onto an AMAZING new tag die from Pretty Pink Posh called Decorative Tag 1.  I love the scallop details Paulina included in both of the dies in this set!  Makes it so versatile and perfect for layering!  I've done more watercoloring of the layers and added some of the new 4mm Clear Droplets Small along with 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins.

My next project uses new Storybook 2 Die from Pretty Pink Posh.  If you liked the Storybook Die 1 Die, then you will LOVE this one!  I've diecut the die from black glitter cardstock from DCWV and again out of white cardstock.  My images are from the Essentials by Ellen by Julie Ebersole set called Got Candy and were trimmed out using the coordinating dies.  After assembling my Storybook Die and all the images, it was added to a Wilted Violet Distress Ink watercolor wash panel.  Finally to add some color, I've used the new Spooky Days Sequin Mix from Pretty Pink Posh.

There are 2 - $25 gift certificates up for grabs.  Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop.  Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PDT on 10/18/2015.  Winners will be announced on the PPP blog.

Pretty Pink Posh Product Release Hop!

Bow Die2

Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh New Product Release Hop!
I am so honored to work with these products.......Paulina has done it again!  No doubt you've seen some inspiration out there with the new product since its debut last week but the DT is now here for a fabulous Blog Hop showcasing all the new goodies!

New release includes:  3 new die sets, 5 new colors of iridescent sequins, and new sequin mixes!!

My first card uses the new Twine and Bows Dies along with one of the new Iridescent sequin colors.......Fairytale Fuchsia (I also used the previously released Sunshine Glow sequins).  I loosely watercolored a light blue for the background of my blooms.  I layered my diecut watercolor blooms (from Lil' Inker Designs) to the upper left corner and embellished with the gorgeous iridescent sequins for centers.  I have wanted Paulina to get iridescent sequins for a long time......so I'm just tickled that she's carrying them!  My diecut sentiment comes from Simon Says Stamp called Painted Hello die.  To finish this off, I used the new Twine and Bow Die.  This die is fabulous!  No more tying a bow.......or struggling to tie a bow!  ha!

Storybook2

My next card is all Halloween and uses the new Storybook 1 Die.  I created a shaker card using some Sparkling Clear Flat sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  I love the look of a shaker with the colored panels in the background especially with the stitching!  All the images are black heat embossed and are from a new Essentials by Ellen set called Got Candy?  My shaker panel was adhered to a black panel that had been spritzed with shimmer spray and some drops of Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine.
