SEEK COVER: KERRY CASSILL'S CALIFORNIA VIBE BEACH UMBRELLAS

When seeking cover from the hot sun's rays, few things are as essential at the beach as a trusty umbrella. Not only do they serve an important purpose, they can be transporting, making you feel as though you are off the coast of Italy, without a care in the world. Kerry Cassill's laid-back California vibe fabrics have had a following in the beachy look department for years. The Indian boho look she does so well transitions from sundresses to bedding, and every season, she adds a fresh prints, be it florals, stripes, tiny geometrics or paisleys, in her sun washed palette. This summer, she has added beach umbrellas, complete with cotton fringe. Made of upholstery fabrics treated for the sun, her unique Capri-inspired umbrellas make long summer days and lapping waves more awesome. Find them at her Laguna Beach store, Lala, by calling 949.464.9220.

COOL RIDE

I don't really see myself tooling around town on a bike, but it is good for the environment, a nice idea and a way to get outside more. I know this trend is spreading like wildfire. If you are likely to take a spin around Central Park and go for a picnic, this post's for you!
