MDUC :: Olden Days

Here is my entry for the Magnolia Down Under challenge this week, which is: "OLDEN DAYS" :: To colour the image in black, white and greys and have colourful, vintage (what ever you like) papers.

This was another image that Trace stamped up for me - How lucky am I!! I coloured her in with the Copic Ciao Warm Grays - W-1, 3, 5, 7. The sentiment is another ticket from Bizzy Becs, I cut the outside edge off. And the paper and flowers are from the stach I picked up at my LSS sale last week! Thanks for looking .. I must admit I was feeling rather Mojo-less for this card!

Magnolia Down Under :: Easel card

This week's Magnolia Down Under challenge is to make an easel card! Here's mine....

I'm sorry but my MOJO seems to have run off again.... don't really like this card... except for the image which was sent to me by the lovely Sharon ... THANKS!!!
I had written down my copic colours but not sure where I put that scrap of paper... mmm. Will try and record colours better from now on in!

I have not really been around as many blogs as I like these last few days either... please bear with me.. I'll come and visit SOON!! Promise!!! :D

on a better note.. last weeks IVF procedures went quite well and we ended up with one blastocyst (5 day old embryo with over 100 cells) .... which was transferred on Saturday... and now we just wait and pray that this little one sticks around! I Have a pregnancy test on 3 March.... not sure I can wait that long without exploding! lol

Thanks for stopping by!

Magnolia Down Under :: Grey + Pink

Yup... this week the challenge at Magnolia Down Under is Grey and Pink and I have not left it till the last minute! Love this colour combination...and think it works well for a shabby chic kind of look... that's what I was trying to go for here...
Photobucket
Tilda is coloured with pink and Grey copics....plus of course some white gel pen highlights. I also used a grey copic to turn a white flower grey! :D
Pop on over to Magnolia Down Under for a look at the challenge and the AWESOME DT creations.. ooh and Kellie has a scrummy prize this week so you might just want to enter as well!!! :D

Well... I seem to be doing a lot of blogging right now (2/3 posts a day) ... I guess that colouring, making cards and then sticking them on my blog is kind of escapism...I LOVE it! and It can be done when I don't have the energy to do a lot else... but I really should get up and do some housework... :P

Magnolia Down Under :: Valentines

Photobucket

The Current Magnolia Down Under Challenge is to make something for Valentines. I used this gorgeous Tilda I got in a swap... coloured her in with Watercolours, adding some stickles and white gel pen. The large flower is from the Stamp Spot and the smaller one on top + the leaves are Bizzy Becs. The rest of the papers are from my stash(most came from Tina).

Thanks for looking.. sorry I have not been about much..this cold/ flu is really knocking me around... and my mojo too.

*edited* Red = pink + white right???

Magnolia Down Under :: Stamp with another use

YAY!! I'm finally entering another MDU challenge!!

I promised something different for my next post (although I had yesterday off as I made some cards but then we had a blackout in the afternoon... power for about an hour and then no power again most of the night.... so here I am today!)

Well I've had this little cutie coloured for some time (she was one I got in a swap) ...and I thought I better pop her on a card ... The current Magnolia Down Under challenge is:
Stamp with another use.... now I'm fairy certain this Tilda was not designed to be used on a baby card... but I think it works... cookies for the family?!

Speaking of Magnolias... I was given some money for Christmas and I've ordered the Spring Kit! oooh.. how exciting!!! Can't wait to see what will be in it!!

thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I'll be back with my first STAMP SPOT creation for the year!

Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 7

Here is my card for the Magnolia Down Under challenge #7.

This time they have a lovely little sketch for us to follow.
I took a bit of artistic licence and used a smaller rectangle
shape which means the elements are more overlapped
than the original sketch but I think it works :)

I LOVE this Tilda image
(she was in a RAK from a blogging buddy :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Magnolia Down Under :: Sepia

The challenge this week on Magnolia Down Under is "SEPIA"

Here is my card for my second week as one of their guest design team:

I used watercolours to do a little wash over the Edwin image and then some extra brown watercolour to add more colour in .. I tried to make it look like an older style Sepia photograph (hence the photocorners).

Pop on over to Magnolia Down Under - look at the wonderful Design team creations and join in the fun :)

We are off to the lovely city of Adelaide early tomorrow so will not be blogging or crafting for a week or so! will catch up with you all when we get back :)

Magnolia down Under :: Bling it on!

The challenge this week at Magnolia Downunder is:

BLING IT ON!

Now I used quite a bit of bling....
1. rhinestone on the heart at the top of the Eiffel Tower..
2. lots of KindyGlitz...and
3. some silver brad in the middle of the flowers! :) I love sparkles and bling. lol!
4. Oh and Don't forget the DCWV Glitter stack :)

I used 2 Magnolia stamps... the Eiffel Tower + Tilda in Paris which is actually owned by my sister Nic (who funnily enough is in Paris now!)

I had a few troubles getting a good photo due to the sparkles!! But you get the idea...
here is a close up of Tilda for you...
