Valentine Season Already!
I am starting off the season with little animals, cupids and non traditional ways to say you care to people you love. This little fellow will be listed today in my Studio Marcy Etsy shop.
Look for more fun ways to say you care, that will last through the ages and make your loved ones smile.
Remember, some bunny loves you.

Perfectly Timed
"The ducks asked me to tell you that they don't particularly like you."
If you haven't wasted a little time at www.perfectlytimedphotos.com, it might be a fun distraction. Yes, there are the typical off color joke photos, but also plenty of other ones, depending upon your sense of humor.
Here is one of my other favorites...
I believe the word "karma" was in the caption somewhere.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Catch you tomorrow!

Antarctica's Recycling Program Upgraded
It's time for another small Antarctica post. As many of you know, my daughter works down there and leads me to some great photos, blogs and other sources of information.
The other night, we were chatting about the recycling down there. We're always very careful of what is sent to her, because there is no landfill where she is and all trash has to be reused somehow, burned or brought back out of the continent.
It appears that the inhabitants of the station have quite a sense of humor. I heard that prior to the head of the waste program's arrival, a few new containers were added for grins.

Hope you have a good weekend. See you Sunday. I'm in Austin teaching and will pop up a quick post to say hi.

Buildings With A Sense of Humor
I had quite a response with my "face house" that I posted on Sunday, so I went looking for more examples. Boy, did I find them! I love the sense of humor that both the architect and the home owner must have.
This first one is in Kyoto, Japan. I would definitely seek it out, if I were to visit.
I don't know where this house is. But I read that it has a different face on each facade. I think one face is enough, personally. I can just picture little kids getting a bit creeped out, like they do with clowns.
This is my favorite. It's subtle and just keeping an eye on the neighborhood. And in my very understated way, (ha ha) I could add more decorations temporarily, if the whim hits.
Of course, I love this one. It looks like a potentially unloved, drab building has a sense of humor and life. I can just picture kids daring each other to step inside through the mouth.

Watch This House
Is it just me, or does this house appear to be looking at you? Yep, that's what I thought too. I never knew there were blue eyed houses (with mustaches!)

Smile, It's a Real Punk Turtle
Happy weekend, everyone. I couldn't resist posting this photo when I saw it on the internet. It makes me smile.
Here's a punk turtle to brighten your day. I'm not sure what's growing on his head, but he doesn't need hair product to maintain it. It's already alive.
My favorite part is how well he got his hair to match his eyes. Beautiful colors in such a funny looking photo.
Hope your weekend is a good one. I'll be back tomorrow, as it's a special day for me.

I Like Some Spam
Now I haven't gone as far as joining the Spam Fan Club, but there was something calling to me to make the can of classic Spam into a a lampwork glass focal bead.
I admit, I ate it once in a while when I was a kid. It was what a lot of kids ate along with Tang, the drink that Astronauts took to the Moon.
And I understand that Spam is served in Hawaii pretty often too. I say, good for them, if they enjoy it.
But for me, I just made it because it makes me smile whenever I look at it.
Hopefully this Spam bead makes you smile too.
ps, don't forget, when writing on glass, case your stringer with transparent glass, so there's more separation between the letters.
See you tomorrow!
