4 Ways to Wrap Gift Cards & A Video Too by Christine

Gift cards are always such a lovely gift to receive but it can be a challenge to figure out how to present them.  Christine joining you and Today I am offering up 4 ways to wrap gift cards that feature the Coffee Plans Stamp.  I really like to give gift cards to places with coffee so this stamp set was perfect for this!  Let's have a look at the four different ways and then I will share a video with you that walks you thru how to make each one!

This first one requires very little patterned paper and can tuck nicely into a card or on top of another gift.

Built around a tag, this one doesn't require a lot of extra supplies either and can easily be added on to something else as well (or hung on the tree!)

This is a bigger one and more of a stand-alone card, making it ideal to stick in the mail!  And you can't miss the inside!

Inside the card pops up to showcase the gift card!  And how fun is that coffee mug stamped with #coffeebreak.  Coffee Plans is such a fun set!

Another stand alone card, this one is constructed easily (despite how it looks) from four circles and a square!  It folds up nicely with a box fold and is a sweet surprise for the recipient.

You can check out the full tutorial on constructing these holders in this video:

Head on over to the SRM Store and get those stamps ready to start your holiday creating!

Coffee Plans Gift Idea by Angie

Hello SRM friends! Angie here with you today to share a cute gift card holder using the Coffee Plans stamps!

I started with the medium kraft pillow box. I used the coffee plans stamps and some brown ink to stamp different images and words all over the pillow box. I heat embossed the 'But first, coffee' sentiment using Versamark ink and black embossing powder.

I tied some black jute twine around the end of the pillow box
and added a tag.

I wanted to make the enclosed gift card a little more fancy, so I wrapped it in a
doily and then added a 'Just for you' sticker and some more jute twine

This gift idea was so quick and easy--and it's super cute! Any coffee lover would love it!

Coffee Plans Gift Box by Emma

Hello!  Emma here, and welcome to my first post as a member of the SRM Stickers Design Team.  Here's a bit of info about me:

"Hi, I’m Emma Ivemey, and I am a British-Canadian gal based in Oshawa, Ontario. I am the proud mother of 4 beautiful children, and married to a wonderful husband. I LOVE to craft, and I’ll try anything once! My favourite crafts are scrapbooking, cardmaking, knitting & crochet, colouring, mixed media and trying to find fun ways to upcycle junk into home decor."

I am excited to share my idea for a sweet and easy gift card holder, using the 4 1/8" kraft window box and the NEW Coffee Plans stamp set.

So first of all, I folded together the kraft box, and created an insert slightly smaller than the box to go inside.  I used 110lb cardstock to create the insert, which will serve as a platform to hold my envelope with the gift card inside.

I then folded my envelope, and stamped the front with the 'But first, coffee...' sentiment, coffee cup and beans (so cute!)

Next, to add a little colour, I used the ColorIn Watercolor Twist pencils to add a little blue, green and yellow as if it were a landscape.  These pencils are so great, and so easy to carry around in the handy dandy case.  To finish, I used white ink and stamped the small coffee words and images around the edges of the box window.

On the back of the box, I used a To / From sticker from the Labels by the Dozen Everyday Pastels sheet so that a personal message can be added.

So there you have it, a thoughtful gift for a coffee pal!  I hope you've enjoyed this project as much I as I had fun making it.

Happy crafting!  Emma x

Mother's Day Gift Card Holder by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here with you today to share a Mother's Day gift card holder. I give out a lot of gift cards during the year, so I'm always looking for ways to make them fun and personal. Today I'm using some SRM stamps and watercolor pencils to personalize my gift card envelope.

My mother-in-law is an amazing gardener, so we often get her a gift card to a gardening store for Mother's Day. With that in mind, I chose the flower from The Lord is Kind and Merciful stamp set to create my envelope.

I used multiple Marvy Uchida Watercolor Pencils to shade in the flowers. The best part about coloring your envelope yourself is that you can customize the colors to the recipient. For example, I know my mother-in-law loves shades of blue, so I went with 2 different shades of blue, and a purple for the flowers.

To make the envelope pop a little more, I added a Punched Pieces small white scalloped circle tag.  I also added a "happy day" sticker and a stitched border sticker from We've Got Your Border Bright stickers. I finished it up with a Lavender Jute Twine bow

This Mother's Day gift card holder is a fun and personal way to give a gift card. How do you like to personalize gift cards?

Lovely Lace by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!
Today, I'm sharing a couple different projects with you using SRM Stickers beautiful lace!

Now, if you've seen my projects in the past, you know I really haven't used too much of lace (if any at all). Though, after making these sweet little gifts, you may just be seeing more of it! ;)

First I started with making some little lace stockings. Which to make my stockings I just used a stocking die that I have. Afterwards, I really had to do some thinking...long thinking! lol I mean here I sat with these pretty little stockings but what was I even making with them?!...

Well, after some trail and error, I ended up with gift card holders! I thought it worked great because it still showed off the lace stocking and I thought it be sweet to give someone. :)

For my second project, I made a tag.

I used some kraft cardstock for my base and then added the lace over it. Once I did that, I was stuck. Again. lol I started going through things and came across some felt flowers I had laying around and 'ding!'...I thought it worked perfectly. So I glued it on to my lace tag and added a little string of pearls. Then to finish things off, I added a little sentiment banner piece and some jute twine. Easy peasy, right?...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day and see y'all soon!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Fall Gift Bag by Angi

Welcome back for the last day of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  We have had a blast sharing lots of fun coffee and tea related projects with you and giving away a prize or two!

Today we welcome design team member Angi Barrs who is sharing a wonderful gift bag that she created to hold a Starbucks Gift Card.  Angi used SRM's new 3x5" Linen Bag for this project.

Let's hear from Angi in her own words.

***********

I am a PROUD coffee addict! That is why I just had to participate in the fun and crafty "Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop".

I dressed up a 3" x 5" rustic linen bag from SRM Stickers. They are the perfect size for gifting.  Do you see that little touch of SRM lace coming out the top of the bag?  I'm loving the lace!

I then used various dies to make leaves. The mix of linen and leaves fits so well into the fall theme too!

I placed a Starbucks gift card on the inside of the bag and placed it all inside of a coffee themed mug. I got the mug at Target. Isn't it cute?

I used a free printable from Yellow Bliss Road to make the tag. I just resized it down and printed it out.  I then used a die to make the oval shape. Easy peasy!

Thanks for joining us today and each of the days during the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  We have loved being a part of such a great event.  And be sure to drop by our blog anytime.  We have a design team that posts projects 5 days a week.  There's lots of inspiration here all year long!

See you at the next Coffee Lovers Blog hop and a BIG thanks to Amy Tsuruta for organizing this awesome event!

Welcome to day #3 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  SRM is so excited to be part of this great event.  We are a Super Sponsor and that means that there will be SRM giveaways on the Coffee Lovers Blog. Be sure to check it out every day through Friday June 12th.

It's Tessa Wise sharing today!  I am always inspired when I see the cute gift cards at stores - especially Starbucks!  Why put them inside the card when you can use them on the front?  They make the perfect focal point.

I layered some gold polka-dot vellum onto a kraft card base and then lightly adhered the gift card over the center.  I added a striped strip of patterned paper just below the edge and then had fun with some Black Sticker Stitches!  I added them underneath the gift card but in places it is clear so you can see through it below.  I added the sentiment sticker from the Sentiments/Congratulations Sheet.  Then I embellished with a few sequins and some Solid Pink Sorbet Baker's Twine.

Heartfelt Thanks Gift Card Bag by Tessa

Hello!  It's Tessa Wise sharing with you today.  I give gift cards often as gifts and sometimes want to give a little something extra along with it.  I've created a treat bag with a gift card pocket attached just for those times.

SRM Stickers Blog - Heartfelt Thanks Gift Card Bag by Tessa - #embossed #kraft #bag #twine #stickers #thanks #gift card

I started with the pretty Embossed Chevron Kraft 5"x7.5" treat bag and stuffed it with a little goodie.  I folded over the top of the bag and adhered it down.  I added a strip of patterned paper from the Switch Board 6x6 pad by Pink Paislee and then wrapped it with Mandarin Baker's Twine.  I tied it in a bow to the left and added some staples to each  side to keep it in place.

I pulled out a 2 3/4"x4 1/4" Flat Glassine Bag next and stuffed my gift card into it.   I adhered it to the center of the Embossed Kraft treat bag, tucking the top of it under the flap.  I added the sentiment from the Sentiment/ Thank You Sticker Sheet to the center of the Glassine Bag along with a couple of diecut hearts just above it.

This one was so fun to make!  I love the look of the embossed bags and will definitely be remaking a few of these at Christmastime!

Graduation Cards by Latrice

Graduation time is approaching and Latrice Murphy is preparing to give gift cards to a few close graduates she knows.  She created a set of 4 identical cards in a matter of minutes using SRM's Take 2 Graduation Stickers by the Dozen, mist and a little ribbon.  Here's what she made.

Latrice started with a gray card base and topped it with white card stock that she used a notebook border punch on along the bottom.  She then dripped and splashed gold mist on the white card stock.  Latrice next used the Take 2 Stickers by the Dozen graduation set.  She layered 2 border stickers along the bottom and added some gold ribbon.  Her sentiment is popped up with 3D squares giving her card a bit of dimension.  She finished off her card with a bit more dimension using wood veneer stars.

Latrice loves her finished cards and can't wait to make a graduate smile this year.  Easy peasy and oh so pretty!

Here's the sticker Latrice used for her project.

Did you know that there are 4 designs of Take 2 Stickers by the Dozen that you can use to make quick and easy fabulous cards?  They come in Birthday, Baby, Wedding and of course graduation with more coming soon!

Girly Gift Wraps by Angi

Angi Barrs just loves making gift card sets!  Instead of using these playful packets as birthday gifts, Angi decided to add them to "college care packages" for her oldest daughter. She's in college out in California and Angi likes to surprise her with gift cards to her favorite eateries. What a great idea! College kids love to get stuff like this in the mail. Plus you can dress up your gift wraps with some fun and fabulous SRM Stickers.

Angi used SRM's Everyday Girl and We've Got Your Sticker Princess sets to embellish her pair of SRM Glassine Bags. And she mounted her stickers onto Bright Blank Labels by the Dozen from SRM. Once she finished embelling the bags, Angi tucked gift cards inside!

And check out Angi's next gift card holder!  She's added a SRM sticker to a popsicle stick and adhered it to a SRM Glassine Bag.  It's a unique little embellishment that will add some fun to your gift wraps.

That's what Angi loves about SRM stickers. You can adhere them to just about anything!  Love how Angi used a SRM Labels by the Dozen to mount her princess crown.

Thanks for the inspiration Angi.  Your daughter is going to love her treats!

Christmas Gift Wrap by Deana

Deana Boston is always looking for different ways to wrap gift cards & small treats.  She LOVES the new kraft bags and clear boxes!  She took one look at them and decided to create some different ways to gift wrap gift cards and small treats!

Deana started with two containers:   the large Kraft Bag and the small Clear Purse.  SRM has so many containers now including the TUBES, glassine bags, kraft bags, Pillow Boxes and Clear boxes in an assortment of sizes and shapes.

Deana then embellished the Kraft bag with a bold, bright doily and a SRM Christmas Pencil tied with a bow.   She embossed the little purse and dolled it up with a SRM Christmas Labels by the dozen, a bright red ribbon and a pair of jingle bells.  How festive!  Then she filled her purse with Christmas candies.  YUM!

You can see the embossing in this closeup of the little purse and I love the clear "Holiday Cheer" sentiment at the bottom from SRM's Gingerbread Man Stickers by the Dozen.   Click on the photo to see a larger image.

Here's a view of the Labels by the Dozen for Christmas.  There are 12 fun and fabulous labels from which to choose.

And here's a closeup of the "merry & bright" pencil for Christmas.  They come in Red and Green!

Thanks for all the inspiration Deana.  Your projects always have such style and flair!   Since 2010 Deana has been part of the SRM family.  She was on the very first design team and was an Emeritus member in 2011.  She's such a talent and such a pleasure to work with.
