2017 Mini Calendar Gift Set by Shantaie

Hello!  Shantaie here today with a fun idea. I challenged myself to create a more updated look and use of the traditional mini calendar, and to make it pretty enough to give as a gift. I set myself up for quite the challenge. After all paper crafters have been creating mini calendars for many years, how could I do possibly anything that hasn't already been done?

The answer was I couldn't. Not really. So I sought not to reinvent it, but to reinvent the way I might use a mini calendar in my daily life. I would most likely use it in tandem with my daily/ weekly planner, and I figured I would want it to be happy, colorful and loose so I could attach the month to my planner or on my desk.

What I came up with is 12 separate and distinct 3 X 4.5" pages cut from bristol, stamped in black with splashes of gellato in silver and pink. 

For January and February I used the love birds stamp set and for march birthday plans stamp set.   As you create your calendar pages, it is perfectly fine to stamp into the calendar area as long as you don't have large areas of solid black. The mini calendar is a clear sticker so your design will come right through! 

April's flowers are from the just believe stamp and May's sentiment is from love one another.  I love the big bold happy on June from the aptly named "big Happy" stamp set! 

For July I used Noah's ark and August Autumn blessings September (one of my favorite pages) uses the healthy plans stamp set.

We revisit Autumn blessings for October and Big Thank you for November, finishing up the year with Big Merry for December. 

I popped my calendar into a glassine bag, decorated it with patterned paper, ribbon, twine, a pom-pom and a sticker and my gift is ready to give!

 A mini calendar set not reinvented, but revamped maybe!

This bold and useful calendar is just a little different from the ones I might have made years ago, and 2017 is already looking pretty good!

BIG Hello by Michele

Good morning! Michele here with a bright greeting! 

I used one of my new "go to" stamps called, BIG Hello!  First off, I water colored the background and them embossed it to give it a bit of texture.  Then I splattered it a bit with black water color. I really wanted the sentiment to pop, so I stamped it on a transparency with black Staz On ink.

I adhered the transparency to the background using clear adhesive.  I added a few coordinating rhinestones and some fun ribbon to finish it off!

BIG Love Layout by Christine

The new BIG Stamps are perfect for everything from cards to gift wrap to layouts!  The size is perfect for adding words to layouts and today I am going to show you how I did just that!  Christine joining you today with a layout that is full of love and a little silliness too!

For this layout I used the Clear Stamp called BIG Love to highlight my striped paper. 

Before I stamped I figured out where I wanted to put my pictures.  Because the stamps are Big, you need to do a little planning before you put the ink to paper!

I used the stamp three different times and then put my silly kids names by it!  I also used some other pieces from SRM to make the layout perfect.  I added in a twine bow using the Caribbean Bakers Twine.  I also added a row of "stitched" scallops to my patterned paper border to help soften that edge.  That sticker came from the Black Sticker Stitches Set.

A gold lace doily coordinated perfectly with the foil gold accents in my paper!  And of course more sticker stitches to highlight my stamping!

BIG Hello Gift Bags by Angi Barrs

Hello everyone! Angi Barrs here with a fun little bag that I whipped up this weekend. I was attending a crop event and a few of the ladies wanted to see the variety of products that SRM Stickers carries.

I was happy to show them some products. We ended up making gift bags for everyone in the group.

I used the kraft embossed bags. The embossed flourish design has such pretty detail that goes great with embellishments.

I used a light adhesive to place an SRM white lace doily onto the bag. I folded down the sides to fit around the bag. I then topped it off with a patterned heart.

I placed a greeting in the center of the bag using the BIG Hello clear stamp set. This one is great to use for a variety of projects.

I added a colorful paper straw and paper confetti to the inside of the bag. I also used a leaf die to add a little more detail.

These bags are just the right size for parties and gifting. They are even great to use at a craft party. My guests loved them. 

Water Coloured Sunflower Trio by Lesley

Hello Crafty friends! Lesley here and I am thrilled to share three cards I made using the fabulous stamps from Jane's Doodles and SRM Press! I have been away from my craft room for a month, so I was pretty excited to get inky today! I decided to get out some water colour paper and to use my distress inks to "paint" the sunflower image!

I used the Autumn Blessings stamp set with both the Clear Stamp Big Thank You and the Clear Stamp Big Hello stamp sets.  I used a tiny bit of lace to trim this card. The lace is also new and is called Lace/2” X 25 Yds. - Ecru.  I cut off a piece to fit the width of my card and then taped it under the panel.

 I kept the designs simple and tried to let the sunflower shine! I stamped the sunflower with Stazon ink on the water color paper and then using a water pen, I coloured each flower using distress inks. 

I love how the BIG bold hello stands out on my card!  I'll be using these sentiments a lot I'm sure!

 I kept my colours bright and then did a green/aqua wash behind the main image. The sentiments were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

LOVE the way this Thank You sentiments looks on my card!  So BIG and beautiful!

I love stamping the new SRM Stickers Clear Stamps on the Kraft Bags with colored ink. The ink absorbs perfectly. I would recommend putting a scrap piece of paper inside the bag to absorb any ink so it does not bleed to the back. I also colored the flowers Copic Sketch markers. I think any inks would work perfectly on these Kraft Bags just remember to put that scrap piece of paper inside and you are ready to create.

Hello! Tessa with you today. My sister recently got married and in a quiet moment between set-up for the reception and the ring ceremony, my little girl and I snapped this photo:

I wanted my layout to be as soft as the photo, so SRM's new 4" wide, white lace was the perfect addition. I played up how sheer the lace is by placing metallic paper flowers behind the lace. I love how the rose gold peeks through and coordinates with the rose gold flowers on top of the lace.

For my title, I used the  BIG Love Clear Stamps. I also used the stitch stamp from the same set toward the bottom of my layout. Stamping it repeatedly and a little bit crooked gives the background woodgrain paper a weathered, distressed look.

From rustic to elegant, SRM has exactly what you need for any layout with a romantic feel!

FYI… I have not been a stamper in my crafty life…but I will be now!  I just love these new BIG stamps!

Dressed Up Gift Bags by Angi

Hello SRM fans! Angi Barrs here! I'm so glad to be back on the SRM team! I'm such a big fan of these great products!

My favorite things to make are gift bags. SRM has just the right products for my crafty addiction.  The embossed dots glassine bags are just one of my faves. I decided to dress them up with the new floral fabric ribbon and lace.

I also wanted to add a sentiment to my gift bag. I used the new Big Hello clear stamps. They are great for fun greetings on your craft projects.

I added a touch of the lace by wrapping it around a punched scallop circle . I added a small drop of fabric adhesive to hold it in place.

The bags are just the right size for small gifts or sweet snacks too! I've even used these bags for party favors. They were a hit with my guests.

Be sure to check out all of the new products in the SRM Store. The floral ribbon and lace will be used a lot on my projects. They are so girly and pretty!

Birdie BIG Hello by Tenia

Hey Y'all!!!

Hope all is well. Tenia here with some SRM goodness for y'all today.....CHECK IT!!!  So excited to be back on the team!

I so enjoyed creating this super fun card!! I used lots of SRM goodness, including the new Big Stamp-Hello set and the We've Got Your Sticker-Hello set.

I created this card from white cardstock. On another slightly smaller piece of white cardstock I adhered patterned paper, added the herringbone Stamped Stitches (OOOOOOOOOOOH LOVE!!), added the birdie sticker image and a bit of washi tape. Next I stamped and embossed the hello sentiment onto black cardstock, trimmed and adhered to card using foam adhesive. 

Lastly I adhered the image panel onto the card and added sequins. Love the BIG, bold, beautiful look of my card!

Hello!  Shantaie with you today with a BIG Thank You!

My love for paper crafting started with stamps, and oh my, I love these BIG SRM Thank you Sentiments in a BIG way!  

I imagined a shaker card the moment I laid eyes on this BIG stamp, and I adore that big sentiment in the background all surrounded by sequins! It just makes me smile!

I put my die cut machine to work for almost everything I make, I cut this card with my Silhouette as well as the leaves and swirls. My custom sequin mix is gold, pink, and copper to blend with the patterned papers, and the sentiment is stamped in a peachy coral to really stand out!

I hope you are loving these BIG Stamps as much as I am, let us know what you think!
