 Oh my goodness me, there is late, and then there is my style of late, so let's pretend

I love all animals so this was a difficult choice, but in the end I went down the fantasy

route and chose a dragon.  I'm particularly partial to cute dragons, especially this sort.

The joy of them being fantasy is that you can use whatever colour you fancy!

As You Like It Challenge (DT) To Beach Or Not (Holidays)

It's all about holidays, your favourite, to beach or not to beach!

I only live about 8 miles from the coast, so spent most of my childhood on beaches.  Our beaches though aren't beautiful soft, golden, sand, they're hard and lumpy pebbles!  I do like a day-trip to the beach, for a picnic or a paddle, but I couldn't spend a week there, I'd be bored rigid after one day.

So I have used one of the uber cute Dustin Pike dragons from Whimsy Stamps

 So, when January clicked around this year, I was determined to be a better blogger than last year.  Well that worked well didn't it?!  Unfortunately, due to the change in family circumstances, I have far less crafting time than previously, so I'm not getting as much made as I would like

I like making get well cards for poorly friends, to give them a little lift of spirits or a

smile when they are feeling low.  I made this one for an elderly friend when she had a bout

My collection of stencils has been slowly growing over the past couple of years, I have formal ones, casual ones, graphic ones ..... they all have their uses.  I've now started to stencil through stencils (which pleases me no end) which is how I formed this heart shape.

Peeking Dragon

 No, you're not imagining things, I really am posting on a Sunday evening.

I've had a little crafty spurt since New Year, and today I actually managed to make something to enter into a challenge!

I have used Whimsy Stamps Dragon Holiday Peekers

which were a Christmas present from Himself and this is the first inking

I also used Whimsy Stamps Slimline paper pad - Taffy

for the first time.

So, the AYLI team are back in harness for the first of this year's challenges and this

I really like making and decorating gift boxes, but being the disorganised little Squirrel that I am, I usually don't leave myself enough time to create a quality box, so my safety net is a gift bag, ideal for the smaller gifts like jewellery.

That's me done here for today - everything has been topsy-turvied as the Oldies are finally booked in for their Covid vaccinations this evening, so it has been all hands to the pump arranging the logistics of it all, borrowing a wheelchair for dad, clearing all my crap out of the car so there are seats, any actually checking that I could fold and unfold the wheelchair, and lift it in and out of the boot.  I have phoned mum and told her to get dad to practice with a mask this afternoon!

I was running a bit tight on time this week so today's card is my traditional

CAS style - you don't always need a lot of stuff to make a card with impact, sometimes it is simply a matter of colour to create a statement

I paired two of the sentiments from the set, and painted Dragon with Distress Inks (ReInkers).  The "icing" came out more red than pink, so he looks a little water-melon-y!
