Bristol Comic Expo!

This weekend will see me exhibiting at the Bristol Comic Expo along with a barrage of other talented creators. You'll be able to buy goodies from me as well as my arty fiends James Stayte and Mark Pearce - their table will be heaving with goods, much like a salmon heaves with eggs before laying time.

Come and pick up a couple of packs of my trading prints too; there are 10 rare cards to collect like the one above; see if you can get them all!

Trading Prints!

A while ago I made a set of trading cards featuring 50 characters; I will now be selling packs of trading PRINTS at my upcoming cons! The prints are a very cute format of 9cm x 13cm and there are 50 to collect plus 10 rare cards which are very sparse! Each pack contains 6 random prints and will be £1.50 per pack. I'm hoping people will like the idea - they make awesome little pieces of art and I've always loved the blind-packed collect-them-all format of things like this. I'd love to be able to make my own set of toys like M.U.S.C.L.E Men or Battle Beasts! Anyone remember Monster in my Pocket? :P

Bristol Expo Goodies!

I've finished all of my goods for the Bristol Expo which is this weekend and no doubt most of this will turn up at the MCM Expo too! You can find me on table 67 in the main hall; please do pop by and say hi if you're about! Here are just a few of the bits I'll be selling.

I'm really happy with the new batch of cute badges I had made! There are 5 designs to choose from: My Liege, Snacksquatch, Toast Ghost, Little Samurai and Cowboy Koala. These are just a few of the bits I'm selling; there will be a lot more on my table too! :D

More Videogame Characters!

I have much love for Metal Gear Solid.

Don't point that gun at him, he's an unpaid intern.

I don't know how Wes Anderson does it, but he manages to create the most amazing characters for his films. The Life Aquatic is no exception, with fantastic performances and a brilliant soundtrack. And it's also one of the only films I can stand Owen Wilson in besides Bottle Rocket.

Four more friends...

Zombie Captain America makes another appearance (I painted him a year or so ago) but this time he's got a bird nesting in his head! Hopefully prints of Ultimate Nick Fury and Mr Fantastic will go well. I had to draw The Foul King for my own amusement; I love that film!

Con Season will be in full swing come May, so I'm starting on new prints to sell. Have some Marvel and Akira based goodies!

The rather spiffing Richard Mushet, a chap I met at Thought Bubble in November very kindly sent me a picture of the prints he bought from me. They look fantastic! I'm always delighted to get pics from people of my work in situ (it reassures me that people actually do like my work) so if you have anything up in your humble abodes, please do email them and I'll feature them here!

Character Bonanza!

After looking through my blog for something the other day, I realised just how many existing characters I've cuted up! Here they all together; they can also be bought as separate prints from my online store. Please note though that although my shop will be open, from the 4th-15th of October I will be away so any orders will be filled and sent upon my return.

Pimp Thyself!

This last couple of weeks, I feel like I've barely done any work, purely because I've been getting stuff printed and sorted for all the upcoming cons I've got on after my trip to New York. Hopefully though, this can still be seen as work! I thought I'd just show a couple of the things I've had printed that will be made into what I like to call Pimp Packs to hand out to peeps at the New York Con. I may not be selling stuff, but I can still spread my head-cheese around a bit!

First off is a nifty little print adorned with what I've come to see as my "brand" charaters. I love these little doods as they make great stickers and just seem to tie all my work up and hopefully give people an idea of what they can expect from my portfolio. I'll be doing something similar to this but a lot cooler and much more inventive when I finally start sending stuff out to publishers!

Also to add to my Pimp Packs are two business cards; one for my sites and one for my shop. I figured that making a card purely for my online shop would be better than just handing out cards for my website as it saves people going through everywhere else to find it. They're not amazing, but hopefully they'll get people looking! (Apologies for the bad photos! :P)

New Superhero Prints!

Over in my shop, I've just added a range of cute superhero prints! Included are: Wolverine, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Daredevil, The Punisher, Spidey, Green Lantern, Nick Fury, Batman, The Flash and Clark Kent. These will also be available at the upcoming comic conventions I will be attending so keep an eye out! Added to the growing list of cons, I will be at Thought Bubble in Leeds on the 20th of November.

A Bit Of Everything Poster!

As I got the bug for making prints, I thought I'd have a go and print a poster too. I'm eagerly awaiting their arrival from the printers (I just got a test run of 4 at the mo!) and I really hope they turn out okay. I thought an image like this would make a fun poster as there's a fair bit to look at! :P Fingers crossed...

More Geeky Prints!

The last of my geeky prints for the con hath been printed! There are 4 new large prints and a set of small Star Wars prints. The large ones will be selling for £4.50 each and the small for £1.50. As always, if anyone wants any before they appear in my online shop, give me a shout!

New Geeky Prints!

For some extra goodies to sell at the upcoming London Con, I thought I'd order some large nerdy prints. I have more in the way but in the meantime, here are the ones that came through this week:

They're 30x20cm glossy prints (slightly larger than A4). So far, I've got my 50ft Guppy (for some b-movie style goodness), Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, a Jessified Daredevil cover, a Lovecraft-inspired Dagon (soon to be coupled with a Cthulhu print), Kurt Russell from The Thing and Watchmen. They'll be selling for a rather reasonable price with the option to have them signed (still can't get used to that when people ask) and will also be up for sale in my shop after the con, either individually or in packs. I ordered another big batch today and will hopefully have those by the end of the week. If anyone is interested in one now, email me and we'll sort something out!

Super Massive Print Giveaway!

The summer is finally here and I feel like giving stuff away! I have a massive batch of prints for one lucky person, and three sets of five 4x6 prints for three more lucky peeps! The big batch contains a whopping sixteen prints: 4 slightly-bigger-than-A4 and 12 4x6 inch (photo size.) The three runner-ups will get to choose their five 4x6's from the pics below. As always, all you have to do is leave a comment with your email address (and name if you aren't on Blogger) and I'll pick the winners on the 8th of July.

These would make a delightful addition to any mantle, bathroom, outhouse or slop cupboard!
