About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

AG for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

It is my turn to post for Crafty Ribbons  and, if you are a regular visitor you will know I make boxes for little gifts to give to my Craft Club ladies each week when we meet on Fridays.

When I was in the UK in December I bought these bags of sweets from The Range.  Some are jelly babies, Jelly beans, Fried Eggs but all yummy.

To hold the box closed I added a belly band made from card and then wrapped a piece of ribbon around it.

The ribbon has Lady Birds and Bees on and I had one piece of All My Love ribbon

Thanks for Visiting.

Frosty Colours for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

Here is my 1st card to showcase Crafty Ribbons massive selection of ribbons in Frosty Colours.

On this one I used narrow Grosgrain ribbon in blue on top of white satin ribbon with a gold edge that is wider at 1.5cm.

I was trying out a new Groovi plate too, cut it to an oval shape and added afew butterflies.

Here is my 2nd card featuring narrow Gingham ribbon and very narrow satin with gold edge.
I embossed pearlised card with a Snowfllake folder of Johns and added a LOTV topper

AG for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

It is my turn to show my Crafty Ribbons make and these are gifts for my Junk Journal class ladies.

They are ephemera holders made from left over pieces of Scrapbook card and odd bits of papers and vellum.  I stuffed the pockets with bits for them to use in their journals.

I have used the narrow Gingham ribbon in blue available HERE.

It comes in various widths and colours and I used the 5mm.

There is a flip card in both pockets front and back with more ephemera pockets.

I added three layers so this created 6 pages and reduced the size of each one towards the centre.

There is a tutorial on You Tube from Treasure Books on how to make these.

I,m sure the ladies  will love them and make great use of all the bits I have included.

I will wish you all
A Very Happy Christmas

AG Christmas for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

Well my cold is getting better but not totally there yet.  Living life as normal and I have a Junk journal class this afternoon and we are making a Christmas notebook .

*********

I have this lovely card to show you today, another one using items from my stash.

For the sentiment I used a Word ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.

I think I am now at the end of using all my old Christmas papers, toppers and card.
Yeyyyy I can buy new next year!!!!

This year, to add to all my Craft ladies Christmas gift bags, I used John's (JND) Cracker die and made these.  This is so easy to use and just tie the ends with organza ribbon, easy and very effective.
I filled them with a little surprise nibble!!  Although I didn't add a snap so there will be no crack when they pull them, just something nice.

AG for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

At Crafty Ribbons they have a wonderful selection of Gingham ribbons in gorgeous colours and various widths.

I altered some paperclips and used the ribbon to add on to the ends.

I also used seam binding on some.  I added a flower to each to compliment the ribbon.

The papers are from Gi Kerr on Etsy.
Very happy with these.

AG for Crafty Ribbons & Happy Sunday Challenge

 Happy Sunday to you all.

Crafty Ribbons time for me again so I combine this with my challenge for Craft Club too.

I found these brads and wanted to use them so added a small piece of Seam binding to each one.

I used one of my Oxide inked background and a scrap of floral card and added 3 butterflies with the sentiment.

I added 3 pearls to each brad centre so they look abit like butterflies too.

I also added seam binding to the sentiment tag too.  Seam binding is so versatile and there is a massive colour choice in the Crafty Ribbons shop.  I love it and use is alot in my journals too.

The challenge last week was a sketch and there were only afew entries as some of my ladies are on holiday.
