Friday Night Fights--Football With A Blindfold On Style!!

It's Prize Fight week for Friday Night Fights, which means there is actual $ on the line!! So get your voting fingers ready!!

MC Spacebooger has declared that "every fight should have an overwhelming amount of darkness/lack of light". So be it!!

Spider-Man is trying to hunt down the Jackal and his henchperson, Tarantula. Professor Warren has pointed the web-slinger towards one of his former assistants (shh...poor Peter doesn't know yet that Warren is the Jackal).

The alleged assistant's apartment is in an abandoned factory, and...

SPLOOSH!!

Spacebooger would complain about the fact that the last two panels are terribly inconsistent about exactly where Tarantula penetrated the billboard, but why get in the way of a good visual gag?

Darkness into light into wetness from Amazing Spider-Man #148 (1975), by Gerry Conway (script), Ross Andru (pencils), Mike Esposito & Dave Hunt (inks) & Petra Goldberg (colors)

Now is the time for you to go and vote for my fight. Why? It's the holidays, man--I need the cash!! So go and vote!!

Why 1970s Spider-Man Was The Best Spider-Man--Tarantula-Style!

How good was Spider-Man in the 1970s?

Spider-Man was sooo good that you could run the exact same cover three different times...

...and people would just beg for more.

Seriously...exact same angle and leg position for Tarantula, same yellow sky in New York City...

Let it be noted that it was the 1980s, and not the 1970s, that turned him into a human-sized tarantula and killed him. Sigh...
