STRYKER - Ride The Lightning

This is an extremely rare collection of,demos,out-takes ,and unreleased stuff ,from my high school chum's band ,Stryker. I know many people out there are looking for more of this classic mid-80's hard rock/heavy metal band. This is after the album was released,and Steve and Sarah were living on the fish farm.Sarah sings in her Pat Benatar/Lita Ford style, Steve does some vocals,and he brought in another singer,I think his name was Mark? He sounds like Rob Halford of Judas Priest fame,and the music is of the same mold.There is some humor ("Frogheads",about old folks) ,an Alice Cooper chestnut, some instrumentals,and a few songs that almost resemble Rush! "The Last Free Man" ,is close to sounding similar to Rush's "Tom Sawyer",and "Spirit" ,is also in that realm.This is the only copy of these recordings,and on my posting of their only album , I included 10 more unreleased tracks,in case you didn't notice, (get it here :http://www.mediafire.com/?nndtl2igtgz) ,which are in line with what we have here.Last I heard ,Steve was composing music for various video games. I'd like him to contact me ,and maybe I can get some more Stryker stuff from him! THE NEW LEFT CLASS

As promised,another instrumental band,with me guitar,Vance bass,Mike drums,similar to Killersville,in that it sounds like Fuel-TV,surf/skate/snowboard rock,you would hear at the X-Games.the first three tracks are quite experimental as they were later overdubbed with:a 40's child's record,a partial porn soundtrack,and a Radio Shack 60 in one electronics kit,in that order.After that it's pretty standard straight ahead instros in many styles.Very cool,and more to come.Check it out,it's thinking man's music,like Rush without the "no genitals" vocals.the pic above from my library ,shows how we got our name!

TUB OF NOISE/MAKE IT STOP split

tub of noise is essentially make it stop with one different member,before the fact.slightly more heavy,and jazzy,almost a punk version of rush?you can definitely hear where they pinched a few rush riffs,and techniques,if you listen closely.pro sounding recording,and the make it stop tracks are more pro sounding as well,and i think this was recorded before the make it stop in the post below this?in any case the make it stop post below also reveals what this tape sounds like,so the same review applies here as well.very heavy and downbeat,shoulda been stars.

FLESH OF BARNEY-flasher barney

steve borden named this band,and a song ,"steve boredom" on here is about him.we worked in a bakery,a cake topper of barney in a raincoat made steve say,"flasher barney",which i heard as "flesh of barney",and thought of the body of christ.me vance and billy ,played on this,the concept:each of us could not hear what the other was playing or singing.i think the first song title,"blizzum scasm",totally describes the sound.cool,doesn't even sound anything like rush or black oak arkansas,as you would think.listen now:
