 G O D ,of WGOD radio podcast,did this release for me today,a 2 hour long all-Noisekillr show!! G O D .and Noisekillr,started around the same time around 1984-85 ,both messin around with the Boss dsd2 pedal ,learning our craft,I guess you would say,and this is a reunion of sorts,and a return to form for G O D ,who hasnt done a proper WGOD podcast in nearly a decade ,I believe? He's still kinda rusty,1st time back in 10 yrs,and still using rudimentary analog equipment to do this podcast,one man show,while Noisekillr is played from the first release back in 1986,to some of the latest ,from the Noisekillr 40 series,where a new release comes out every day,for the whole year of 2026,a feat never achieved by anyone in history yet!! There are some rare,and deep cuts heard here,and there is no track list,as G O D ,the total and complete DJ ,will of course tell you about the stuff you'll be hearing,with fades and intros by Doug Shannon,oldies dj extrordinaire,and Food Fortunata,a used pizza salesman,and baby penguin bedding instructor......Just listen,it may be crazy ,I dont know,hopefully its not too loud.....or loud enough to hear, just listen!!! I am still stuck here,in the year 1982 ,playing and listening to ep's and demos while waiting for the garage to repair the Time Machine! This is the third 6 hour podcast of 1982 in this series,with one more 6 hour podcast to come before I blast off to my next destination! Have you seen the film ,"Los Punks - We Are All We Have"?? Seek it out before ,or after hearing this podcast for a look at a burgeoning underground backyard party punk scene that's been going on in South Central East Los Angeles ,for some time now! This is the unofficial,unauthorized soundtrack to that film,as one is not yet available,nor may it ever be.Hopefully,this podcast gives a glimpse into a small scene that is being ,and has been,repeated the world over ,since the advent of punk rock music. Most of the fans and bands in this riveting documentary,sport mohawks,liberty spikes,patches of uk street punk bands on their leathers or denims,chains,boots,spikes,and in sound some of these bands ape the uk street punk scene in it's mid -80's heyday ,but the influence of West LA ,Venice bands ,can't be denied,or overlooked.Some of the bands here have the classic "Suicidal" sound ,while others have taken the crossover-thrash metal sound ,farther into metal territories ,some even branching out into death or black metal.A lot of the interviewees in the film ,either band members or fans of the scene ,echo the same sentiments as o.g. punks did in the day ie: Punk saved my life,punk is an attitude,punk accepted me when others wouldn't ,punk rock gave me a family ,etc.The movie's subtitle ,comes from The Casualties,a NYC band that started in 1990.Their 2009 album is titled "We Are All We Have ",and it is one of the songs from that lp.The band appears and performs in the film,and they too,have that uk street punk ala Exploited,GBH,Cockney Rejects ,type of sound and look ,that a lot of the latinos in the film are inspired by..Punk rock is life ,and has been mine since 1975 ,when first reading about the New York Dolls ,The Ramones,and other happenings in NY (in CREEM magazine!) ,and the scene beginning in the UK at the time.Please,enjoy this special edition of WGOD  ,and if you do anything else before you die,make sure that seeing this film is on that bucket list! A new series in WGOD podcasts! I will focus on a target year for each show in this series.I start with 1982 ,as I was influenced by a song list posted by Frank Oblak on his facebook page ,of e.p.'s from 1982.I played a couple sets of his picks on a previous podcast,and he has a couple more sets featured here ,right off the top! I am specifically playing e.p.'s and demo tapes from the year 1982 on this show.This is Volume 1 of 1982 ,I will be doing a few more shows from 1982 as well! Then we shall see where the time machine takes us from there!Al Quint said ,"1981 was a pivotal year in music" ,and he wrote an article about it somewheres,and told me not to forget 1981! I will not forget,Al!! In 1982 I turned 18 ,graduated high school ,and had a punk rock summer to the max!! W.G.O.D. 50 - May 21st ,1997

17 years ago i made this W.G.O.D.  G O Dcast. Tape number 50 was elusive in it's appearance.when i got to number 49 ,I wanted to wait for number 50 ,for a special occasion which never really surfaced.I even had a friend (Ron Bohn in Atlanta,Georgia ,ex-patriate of the Ft. Myers scene) name his band ,"GOD50" .which was an honor ,but 49 carried on thru fractions and decimals (ie: 49 and 16/17ths ,49 and 17/18ths or 49.25,49.26,49.27 ..etc. and so on) until I met the girl who was to become my wife. I decided to then do W.G.O.D. 50  because i felt a change in my life about to happen,and figured it was as good of an occasion as any to let loose on number 50! Since the broadcast is from 1997 ,I play stuff that was current at that time,usually reflected in my recent purchases.I throw in some classics and oldies for good measure ,and there is the obligatory SLUGGISHA artists set ,and those great bits by Doug Shannon.
